In the game, her teaser video, and music videos, Jinx comes off as an overly happy, psychotic, carefree villain who likes guns and explosives. Arcane has done a phenomenal job giving the character depth, showing us her tortured past, all her conflicting emotions, all the life struggles she had to endure. She's not just a crazy gun nut, she is a person, she has layers. The accidental killing of her adoptive family/friends, Being abandoned by her sister, thinking Vi dead and then having mental conflictions when she sees her again, feeling jealous and abandoned again when she sees Vi with Caitlyn, almost dying on the bridge and being inhumanely "altered" to be kept alive, accidently killing her adoptive father in moment of mental stress.
All of this explains her behavior in the game, taking place an undetermined time in the future. She's gleeful, happy, excited, mocking, loving every second she gets to shoot something or blow it apart. Her past is so damaged, so full of pain and sadness, that she buries it behind a crazed smile, a mocking remark, only letting herself frown when she goes home at the end of the day, and is left alone with her thoughts. She clasps her hands on her head and screams, then cranks the music and works late into the night on her next project, anything to keep the thoughts at bay.

She reminded me of an alcoholic. Getting repeatedly drunk on violence and causing utter chaos, and whenever hangover comes, striving towards getting wasted again asap.
Welp. Now I’m sad. But yes I totally agree. Jinx went from feeling kind of like a Harley Quinn clone or something like that to something so much more with this. Now becoming one of my favorite characters

When I complained about my life on the other day I realized I have shelter, water, food, warm home, friends.
And I'm living that time when I can enjoy Arcane and this music. Life is not that bad after all. We all have up and downs. Thanks RIOT for all the work and this masterpiece, and THANK YOU for this music. I'm so grateful. Lads enjoy life while you can.

Our world is so amazing & incredibly advanced, the more fact that your reading this comment means you have access to the internet & as a result near limitless entertainment.
You can buy a window AC unit for a couple hundred bucks or a 1,500 watt electric heater for $20 & then live in a 100% climate controlled environment. This is actually amazing, just go outside on a hot humid sticky night & feel what it would be like sleeping in the forest with centipedes & spiders crawling on you, mosquitoes biting into your skin. We are so pampered in our morning world, sleeping in shelter that's actually scaled from the environment is just so amazing, not the richeat kings in the past could live like we do today.
Also like we have GPS, just think how crazy that is. Anywhere on earth you can navigate with perfect precision better than any explorer of the past, all these random technologies we take for granted. It's hard to comprehend how amazing our world is.

the ending of episode 3 has to be one of the most heartbreaking endings in a TV show episode I have ever seen. and believe me, i've seen a ton of shows in my life. never expected this to be this good, but it suprassed my expectations by freaking miles. there's basically nothing wrong with it. can't wait for the last act

I mean cause it’s a multiplayer game, there’s no real reason to make such in-depth lore unless it’s for a show like this. They just give us basic lore to know how they became their characters. There’s no story mode or anything, it’s just a waste of time to make more lore unless needed. I honestly think riot games should just make more animated series instead of games (cause their game is broken asf, this is the best thing riot has done in years). Also Blizzard should make a show or movie too, would be lit with Overwatch or WoW characters.

@@Bud_Buddha well they are making an MMO now based in Runeterra so it is time for Riot to go full speed ahead with the lore. With the massive success of Arcane we will definitely see more TV shows to come, maybe even theatrical releases and absolutely more books, novels, and comics
@@a-drewg1716 Damn I didn’t realize they were making a league mmo, that sounds hella dope. Got bored of MOBAs but I think league lore is one of the coolest. Would be amazing to see new shows and media based around league lore (Ionia would be incredible to see animated, specifically Zed and Shen but idk anymore since Arcane already has a sibling theme, but it’s a good place to set a new show in because of their war against Noxus and be able to show a lot of different league champs). I hope Arcane shows other game companies because they also have really cool characters and lore that I’d like to see in a story format.

As a game, League of Legends never really interested me, but I always loved it's music, like Legends Never Die and that one Warriors cover (can't remember the cover artist unfortunately) but this is something else. Both this and the original song are brilliant. I'm gonna have to watch Arcane when I get chance.

Covers rarely outperform originals, but this one just did that in an astounding way. this is a wonderful piece, nicely done!!.
The orchestra was pure perfection. Yet the singing, evenso it was beautiful and perfectly performed, didn't catch the emotion of the original in my eyes (or ears).
I normally don't like the breathy style of the original and would otherwise probably prefer the voice of this version, but for this particular song it's different. Maybe because it's not music alone, but the heartwrenching scene I connect with it.
But that's only my personal taste (whcih I myself am surprised by). Great job to everyone involved.

I know everybody likes to focus on Jinx, but I honestly feel worse for Vi in the scene where she loses everyone. She knows that most of this is the snowball effect of her own actions (taking everyone to steal from Jayce). However, she's still expected to somehow hold it together (and does!) even while being imprisoned/believing her sister was also killed. She has to live with the idea that she failed her "father" who told her to take care of her little sister with his dying breath.
Yes, Jinx is showed openly breaking, crying, screaming, so people can percive her trauma and relate to it. But there is other way to live trauma and everybody sleeps on it, silently and trying to endure alone. Vi lost her parents but even when the bridge was in fire her concern was protect her sister, (making her sing and cover her eyes while she has to guide both) has to act as a mother since child so getting basically robbed from her own chilhood (she takes it because that allows her sister an easier childhod) , all her rage was focused to fight and she became abrassive as rests, then her whole family is killed as result of her sister actions and she yells at her but before she can apologize she is kidnnaped and the last thing she knows is her sister, her only relative alive and the person she loved and cared more is in danger, and is all she is going to know for years to come. She spends almost a decade imprisioned, mistreated, plainly tortured and full of remorse without any hope of freedom or information of the world. Her mind is definitly damaged and she can't even take the time to cry or be sad.

I feel like this song focuses on jinx's mistakes and her redemption
Episode 3 make me cry 😭
Not all characters can break my heart, make me care so much that it hurts, not all characters can make me love or feel grief, hate what they do but understand so much why they're doing it, they're broken and all you can do is helplessly watch them go down their destructive path as a spectator in their crazy world. Jinx has definitely entered those esteemed halls. I'm ready so much for season 2, but at the same I dread it, and this long wait is like slowly pouring salt on an open wound, because I know if anything she'll be more unstable than she already was, she killed her third father she's ever had, all for the sake of her sister, who seemingly doesn't accept her, not to mention we've seen what Shimmer can do to someones mental state, she seems to have a new and refined version of it in her system, so it obviously doesn't overwhelm her brain like other versions of it did to others, but I doubt that it helped matters at all.
She'll further bury the side of her that loves, that cares about anything, she's so broken and in pain that all she can think to do is hide behind a manic grin, her gun, and explosives, because at least her guns, gadgets, and explosives empower her, likely distract her from the pain she feels, she'll laugh and smile to hide the pain, but deep down she knows she is completely and utterly alone and she hates it, she'll tell herself it's for the best, she's a jinx after all, and after her pain she cannot trust anyone, but there's a part of her that she'll always try to run from, the side of her that cares and loves, the side that the "perfect" part of her views as weakness, the "perfect" side will want to reject all of that and instead will want the world to feel her anger, grief, and pain, to let them all burn, to watch as the people around her fear her. To learn more about explosives and such as a way to make herself more powerful, so that she can never be hurt again.
It will never be enough though, there's a hole inside her that she knows can only be filled by something very specific, and she's too afraid to let it be filled, she doesn't want to hurt or be hurt by someone she cares about, so it's much easier view them all as enemies to destroy.
