Everyone makes videos about launching and landing foil kites. Can you make a video about everything in between please... Sheeting in and out, backstalling, all the ways they differ from LEI in terms of controls and reaction etc

    I use only twin tip
i use soul 12 and 15 for oldschool airstyle, my friend uses sonic 3 (in various sizes from 11 to 15) i tried sonic, here's what i think:
soul: big size had more static traction (compared to the Sonic, with little wind I need less speed to jump) better stability in gusty wind, better restart from the water, with the Soul I perform my tricks with my eyes closed and try new ones fearless. in my opinion the top if you only use twin tip 100% of the time
sonic 3: better jumping performance if you arrive at speed, more technical to manage, slightly more technical restarting from the water, slightly less stable in gusty wind, in general preferable if you use 50% twin tip, 50% hidrofoil (guarantees performance much better than the Soul)
I will go against the grain of the mass of people, but I prefer SOUL, easy, permissive, in general simple, Great for learning tricks and leveling up .. hoped they will continue to produce it.

Of course they will. It's the brand flagship product and most sold kite they have. They will release the soul 2 at some point in the next 12 months I would say.

I ve both the sonic 11 and Soul 10
I prefer the Soul for twintip and Big Air, Sonic jumps higher and loftier, but kite is much slower and lacks reactivity ion the air, so loops are a thing of nightmares ^^
But Sonic wins hands down for all foiling

Yea the loop on my Sonic3 11m is pretty scary. Had a pretty bad crash in mid 20 it’s of wind the other day due to starting a loop a little too early. What a surge, it was fantastic till the water impact lol

Really love this video and thanks for all the sharing haha lol So as a beginner (as I am very new to foil kites with 0 experience), should I try the Soul one or any other recommendations? Look forward to your other instructional videos :-)

Thank you :-) I would highly recommend the Soul then. For a training kite, you can use the Peak 4 and still be able to use it as you advance as well.

Hi Jason, I have been testing Sonic 3 13m in 12-15kt. Really enjoy kite but it was very scary experience on the way in and out of water. Kite was overflying on 12 and I had slug on lines. I have soul 10 and chrono v3 15 and I did not have that experience with them. Do you have some tips how to overcome that overflying problem? Thanks

Hey Dzibks, higher AR foil kites will have a problem sometimes of overflying. Other times though it’s just looks that way because it sits so high in the wind window, takes some time to get use to it lol. In gusty weather where overflying can develop, I usually always keep some tension on the bar. If the kite starts to surge back, I will sheet in to help keep the kite from shooting forward. Same thing when the kite looks like it’s overflying, sheeting in helps move the kite back to lower in the wind window.
This technique takes some practice to get it right but eventually you’ll be able to do this mostly by feel alone. In unstable conditions while I’m walking under the kite, I’ll be constantly sheeting in/out to keep the kite where I want it. Once one the water a lot of this tendency will go away but it can still happen and same technique applies. Hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for the video, I am just about to upgrade from my speed3, which I have had for years now, and am not sure - I am big into low wind - because it does not blow as much where I live, and I like to jump high so thats a plus for the sonic, but I also like to do some crazy stuff and would like my kite to live on as long as the speed3 has - and the soul looks much more in line with the speed3, and that's probably why its gonna be soul. It's a pity I have to choose, I'd like to have both :-)

Hi Jason, good one. Thanks for the review. I think you'll now need to get a demo VMG 2 and compare it to the Sonic 3? Do your magic! Regards.

Thank you for the feedback :-). I’d love to get my hands on a VMG to she how she rides. They don’t demo those out so much sadly.
