Bob Seger is a great rock singer, songwriter & musician known for his raspy powerful voice. He wrote & recorded songs that dealt with love, women & blue-collar themes. "Turn The Page" is my favorite song by him. But he has so many great songs especially in the 70's-80's such as "Mainstreet", "Still The Same", "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man", "Hollywood Nights", "Against The Wind", "You'll Accomp'ny Me", "Shame On The Moon", "Roll Me Away", "Like A Rock", "Shakedown", "We've Got Tonight", "Old Time Rock & Roll" etc.

This is a live version that is played instead of the studio version because of the strength of this live version. Seger said that in this version he had never heard the Silver Bullet Band sound better and his voice was on key. It was recorded during a long tour and the band was a tight as they have ever been. He has said that he does not think he'll be able to record another live album because of the crowds involvement in every song, it would almost be impossible to filler out 20,000 fans singing along. Which is exactly what you get at a Bob Seger concert. RIP Alto Reed the sax player

Love your enthusiasm. Real good reactions for Bob Seger. He was a real road warrior in late sixties till mid 70's. Huge locally in Midwest, huge in Michigan. His live album "Live Bullet"
in '75 got a lot of FM airplay, particularly Turn the Page. The next year he released "Night Moves" and he had a tremendous 15 yr run of hits + classic albums. Two of my faves are

Bob Seger took years to break through but when he finally did, he produced hit after hit, and all those years of battling meant that by the time he made it, he had a fantastic live sound. "Fire Lake", "Like a Rock" and "Manhattan" are favs of mine. Also, Metallica does a brilliant cover of this song, and the music video that accompanies it is a different take on the lyrics but it is fire. I finally subscribed too...thanks for the reactions mate.

Bob Seger was my first concert when I was just 15 years old in 1978. Spent the whole $11 for a ticket and what a show it was amazing talent

I love shame on the moon it wasn’t one of his most popular songs but that’s probably why I like it it’s so different

Listen to Jackson Browne's "The Load Out/Stay" and this song back to back and you really get a feeling for what road trips are like . . . and why musicians do it. It is a grind but the music and entertaining the fans, as well as the energy the fans give back, makes it worth it.
