Welcome to Bob Seger He’s a legit singer, song writer and musician A crazy amount of really good music “Like a Rock” “ Night Moves” “Come to Papa” “Old time Rock n Roll” “Her Strut” “Hollywood Nights” …..Ect. Ect . Ect. …….. so many
Bob Seger is a great rock singer, songwriter & musician known for his raspy powerful voice. He wrote & recorded songs that dealt with love, women & blue-collar themes. "Turn The Page" is my favorite song by him. But he has so many great songs especially in the 70's-80's such as "Mainstreet", "Still The Same", "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man", "Hollywood Nights", "Against The Wind", "You'll Accomp'ny Me", "Shame On The Moon", "Roll Me Away", "Like A Rock", "Shakedown", "We've Got Tonight", "Old Time Rock & Roll" etc.
Bob don't just have great songs. He made albums that you just push play because they are all bangers.Night Moves,Stranger in Town,Against the Wind, The Distance, Like a Rock... .Those are from his prime. There's so much more
This is a live version that is played instead of the studio version because of the strength of this live version. Seger said that in this version he had never heard the Silver Bullet Band sound better and his voice was on key. It was recorded during a long tour and the band was a tight as they have ever been. He has said that he does not think he'll be able to record another live album because of the crowds involvement in every song, it would almost be impossible to filler out 20,000 fans singing along. Which is exactly what you get at a Bob Seger concert. RIP Alto Reed the sax player
Hey bruh! I’m a trucker, 44 years in. Wouldn’t know any other way. I check your reactions most every night when I shut down for the night and really dig the way you break it down. You get it and always bring it. Thanks! 😎 This song resonates with me.
This was actually a "live" version Shon. That's hoe good Bob I'd, that you thought it was studio. He has decades of amazing songs. No matter what you pick, it will be a banger. 🤘😎
Retired truck driver here, and yes, you think a lot but never a boss overlooking you, screaming in your ear, and the best part is your office view changes every day!! This song, when it came on the radio it was always cranked right up! 🎉😊😎🇨🇦
I love Bob Seger!! This is one of my favorite songs as well as "Against the Wind", "Still the Same", "Fire Lake", "Shame on the Moon", "We've Got Tonight", and many more. Thanks for another great reaction Shon!
Bob has a seemingly endless catalog of songs and you would be hard pressed to find a bad song from him. ALSO...There is a Metallica version of this song. Pretty good too. ✌❤
This was recorded live in Detroit on his "Live Bullet" album. Required listening for all of us back then who are finding ourselves to be 60 years old now....... this makes me feel young again
Glad you picked this for your first Bob Seger song! The lyrics are great! Every Seger song is amazing. Try Night Moves, Like a Rock, Mainstreet, or We’ve Got Tonight next. All great!
Shon, This song comes across as IF Bob Seger was telling his fans that his fame is not as “glamorous” as his life seems to most people as they think it is.
One of the best albums ever is Silver bullet live! i was fortunate enough to see Bob Segar live 5 times from 1977 to 1985. One of the best shows when the entire crowd was singing along. I saw Segar in Atlanta GA in 1977 he closed the concert and this was the last song. Alto Reed, the sax player was on fire.. Please do some more Bob Segar songs
I saw him in 1978 and I was very close to the stage!! I was 18 at tat time and the concerts back then were everything to us in the 70’s. It cost $6.00 back then to get in to see all of the famous rockers. Awesome times and Bob Seger was AWESOME!!❤️
So grateful to have seen him on his farewell tour, easily makes my list of top 5 concerts this 67 year-old has ever seen (That's a lot of concerts brother!). BS has a plethera of hits inside of his 18 studio records with a total of 31 top 100 songs making the Hot 100. Must listens: The Fire Down Below, Her Strut, Sunspot Baby, Fire Lake, Night Moves, Old Time Rock-N-Roll, Mainstreet. The hole is deep, real deep! Fantastic reaction, TY.
Kid Rock WON the contest to induct Bob into the R & R Hall of Fame, that says it all. Bob is one of the best lyricist of all time and you understand why when you listen to his word magic. Try listening to him without the videos and you’ll take more in. The soundtrack of youth.
One of Detroit's finest! If there was ever a rock star with his two feet firmly planted on terra firma, it was Bob Segar. An iconic performer performing an iconic tune. Thank you for covering this one Shon!✌❤
Back in th3 80s my dad had his greatest hits on cassette and it was a road trip staple. I thought he was a brother till I was older. Soul havenest white brother ever.
My all time favorite artist! I asked for concert tickets starting at 12 y/o and saw him close to a hundred times. For a really cool change of pace, check out Get out of Denver, you just can't sit still for that one.

A wonderful artist, and a great reaction. I hope you do a bunch of other things by him. You will enjoy the range of songs, and you will enjoy the stories.
Lucky enough to see twice in the 70’s. Alto Reed the sax player was spotlighted up in the balcony at start I thought the applause would bring the roof down. Will always love this man and his band
I went to a bob concert in Chicago in the 70s and at the beginning the stage was dark and all of a sudden you heard the sax and a spot light hit the sax player about 30 ft. In the air and he was being let down on a rope or something. Crazy times.
Love your enthusiasm. Real good reactions for Bob Seger. He was a real road warrior in late sixties till mid 70's. Huge locally in Midwest, huge in Michigan. His live album "Live Bullet" in '75 got a lot of FM airplay, particularly Turn the Page. The next year he released "Night Moves" and he had a tremendous 15 yr run of hits + classic albums. Two of my faves are "Roll Me Away" + " Feel like a Number". Keep cooking up your special blend of responses.
Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band had just played a concert in Dubuque, Iowa. They were in the bus, driving the long stretch of Interstate 80, through Iowa. On the way to Omaha, where they were playing the next night. He wrote this on that ride.
I grew up in Michigan, so not only was listening to him mandatory... he was my first rock concert! Fantastic musician and storyteller, just check out anything from the recommendations below. If you like that killer sax from Alto Reed, then you might want to hit Mainstreet first.
This was my first concert in 1981 in Toronto. My Dad knew a scurity gaurd that worked the CNE grsndstands and he let us in for free and we had front row seats this concert rocked😂 I also saw him in 1982. You should react to the famous final scene live if you can find it. Or old time rock and roll its really fun❤
I have seen his 2 times in concert. Once many years ago. One later in life. He sounded the same. Moose Brown is his bass/ piano man. Great musician and song writer
So glad you found this one. I saw Bob Seger & SBB on this tour. They were opening for KISS. The show began with sax player Alto Reed high up on a platform with a spot light on him blowing the opening to Turn The Page. Loved your reacrion to it. Wish you could have been with us in 1974-75!
Man Bob, has a enormous catalog of song's they pretty much all sound great I would like to request a song by Bob Seger, called "SHAME ON THE MOON" a great song. Think you will enjoy it. I'll be listening for it. Thanks
Bob Seger took years to break through but when he finally did, he produced hit after hit, and all those years of battling meant that by the time he made it, he had a fantastic live sound. "Fire Lake", "Like a Rock" and "Manhattan" are favs of mine. Also, Metallica does a brilliant cover of this song, and the music video that accompanies it is a different take on the lyrics but it is fire. I finally subscribed too...thanks for the reactions mate.
I Truly love how you effortlessly pick up the meaning full stuff in the lyrics, Id Love to see what you think of TOOL's "RIGHT IN TWO"! Keep em coming:)
