I just paused the video to tell you that I think I speak for everyone here that we are all having a blast watching you with this video 😂
True dat!
Absolutely, it the naivete ' that he brings, youthful exuberance, an open mind with old soul. Makes for the BEST REACTIONS!❤🎉
Agree!
Only George Thorogood could make a song about being unemployed, homeless, and drunk seem super cool!!
And make a living at it!!
🤣
Except for the man who wrote it! The late great John Lee Hooker!
This was actually a mashup of two songs: One Bourbon, One Scotch and One Beer and Rent Free Blues
@@donpietruk1517 Once again, bu John Lee Hooker
AND funny too lol
You’ll also love his song, “I Drink Alone.” He’s got many other great hits, too, like “Who Do You Love?”, “Get a Haircut,” “You Talk Too Much,” “Gear Jammer,” and many more. They’re all worth checking out.
I Drink Alone is a neglected masterpiece.
I watched him say in an interview when asked which of his songs were his favorite, that he didn't really didn't like any of his songs, he just writes them for the fans. He appeared to be completely serious. Made no sense, lol.
Another vote here for You Talk Too Much! 🤣🤣🤣
Those are excellent pics. Gear Jammer my fav.❤😂
Any and all of these songs! Love George, I think he’s underrated as a blues guitarist.
I was on a hike yesterday and came upon three young men/teenagers. They had music playing, and it was George Thorogood. The kids are alright. ❤
The kids are truly alright! ❤ We got some incredible kids out there.
@@morgansmmoaddiction6185 agree, 💯
Awesome!!
Yes they are!
Thanks from this old fart.I have been blessed by his guitar in the 70's? I can't remember.
Please give a listen to the George Thorogood song "I Drink Alone"
George is one of the greatest blues guitar players in his style...no guitar pick come on man he has the perfect rhythm and story telling with probably experiences alot of men have gone through..great job reacting man..always glad to see younger people react to what I grew up listening to..great job brother
I saw George Thorogood and the destroyers in concert. I couldn't hear for three weeks.
Love some good George Thorogood
George Thorogood is an incredible guitar player and has a lot of great bluesy-rock bangers. 'Who Do You Love' and 'Move It On Over' are a couple my other favs. He is definitely to be checked out live if he comes to your town. It a rocking good time.
This is actually two songs by John Lee Hooker that George put together as one song. The House Rent Blues/One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer.
Thank you Mr. Shon. For always making me smile. EPIC REACTION. lololol right along with you. CLASSIC 😊😅😂
George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers
Their original full band name ❣️
Because they used to play league baseball against locals when they came to town!
One of the best entertainers. They carried him off of stage playing after 4 hours.
I'm not sure I've seen you enjoy another song quite this much. Always a pleasure stopping by, Shon.
George is an original. The Bad Boy of the Blues.
Lived in Palo Alto Ca. in the early '70s & saw him in a club the Keystone. On tues. nights they had popular but relatively unknown bands from around the country for a buck cover & $2.00 pitchers of beer. Saw Living Color once. Went to see some band called The Deleware Destroyers. Never heard of them & have never forgotten! His last encore (out of 3) was this song. Swear it lasted1/2 hr. They came back about 6 mo. Later playing under playing as just George Thorogood!
One of the best concerts I ever saw. ENERGY.
saw him in 91 and he came out with the openening song and told everybody this is the best show you've ever see. I thought wow that's pretty bold.he blew the roof off the place one of the best shows ever!
The song “ You talk to Much” is so much fun
Watching you having fun with this song was worth the price of admission 😄
I love it. The first reaction I’ve seen where it’s seen for the funny things. I love this channel
as already stated below. george's "I drink alone" is a must listen.
You'd love John Lee Hooker's original. George Thoroughgood learned a lot from him and from Bo Diddley. You'd love both of them too. --I saw this man here open for the Rolling Stones in 1982, the Tattoo You tour, in New Orleans. I about got squished by the crowd, we were sliding 20 feet one way then back again without moving our feet as the floor was covered with beer and other fluids. Fantastic time.
Saw George Throrogood and the Delaware Destroyers at Starlight Theater in Kansas City in 1984 or 85 with Johnny Winter. Great show. Great performer and amazing musicians all. Good times! Check out "Bad to the Bone", "I Drink Alone", and "Who Do You Love"
Lonesome George is a guitar GOD😊
When you repeated "she was lovey-dovey " i had smiled ear to ear!!
Ahhh yeeees, 'Bbbbaaaaddd' George.
Phenomenal artist.
Man of the people and soooo good.
A wonderful live performer.
Thanks for your great reaction and for sharing.
If you like George's guitar licks, you gotta check out Bo Diddley. Best licks ever.
Awesome Medley of 2 John Lee Hooker songs, “House Rent Boogie”, which Lonesome George uses as a backstory for “One Bourbon One Scotch & One Beer”.
Ohhhhh! Please do this again but with the live concert with Alvin Bishop!! You just have to lol..💞✌️
Classic blues sound!!!!! George put out absolute bangers!!!!!!
I went to see ZZ-Top awhile back, George opened for them. WOW one of the best concerts ever.
Great video Shon. I think you would like Head East man. Try "Never been any Reason". Thanks
John Lee Hooker - without him, no George.
FACTS
I love this song live. The energy in the crowd is fantastic. I love the version that Elvin Bishop accompanies him in. Welcome is a fun guitar player too.
I was fortunate enough to catch George, and of course, his band, The (Delaware) Destroyers, back in the day(I'm 63).
In a theatre setting, all plush seats, intimate atmosphere, and plenty of liquor.
It was one of the most fun evenings I ever had. That's all I have to say.👍🏼✌🏼🇨🇦
You're the best, Shon! Thanks for bringing a smile to my face today 💜
Good job, brother, you can’t go wrong with George
I love it when the old singers would tell a story with a song, such as Alice's Resteraunt... check that out if you want a story song.
Ay brotha... I see your subs on the rise.. goodtimes
For about a decade after this song came out every dive bar played it at least once a night! lol
I saw him in 89 at Bumpershoot in Seattle, Curtis Salgado opened. One damn good show.
"...I know, now you're funny, too." My fav0orite line!
Same here dude!
Bring your buddies on the channel to get their reaction to this....
I saw George Thorogood over 40 years ago, North Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺, I stood about 2 metres from him the stage was about half a metre high was an awesome night. Great times. I also new the guys who wrote his hit Get a haircut and get a real job. They played in a band around a place North Brisbane called Redcliffe. They were playing up North Queensland, George's manager heard the song bought the rights off them.
Lonesome George just turned 74 on Feb 24th this live off of Thorogood is fire you want to see him play live with a ton of guests there is a concert on YT from the Capital Theater recorded in 1984 what show seen him in 1985
Great reaction,Shon...loved it! You are fun to watch! My favorite part of this song is when he goes to his friends house, and the friend says 'she's kinda funny'. Lonesome George says 'I know. Everybody funny...now you funny too.' I'll say that to the kids at work complaining that one of the 'team members' isn't acting 'corporate' enough. They have no idea what I'm saying. I don't care.
You would have loved the 70-80s, it was in so many ways, to 👀, feel and think. romance to War and everything in between! Blessings😊
Great reaction Shon ❤
Wish you had did the live version ft. Elvin Bishop
I believe this is actually two unfinished songs put together. They fit beautifully too.
They were both full songs as each of them has been recorded separately. He just mashed them together here.
I seen him in concert a few years ago at Riverside Casino in Riverside Iowa, we were about 10 aisles from the stage, fantastic concert and a small venue
I have seen this song done live a couple of times at George's concerts. He puts on such a great show. I like this song and Bad To The Bone best live. The audience usually sings along. There is a live performance of this song with George and Elvin Bishop that you should listen to when you have a few spare minutes to chill, it is my favorite
Dang Shon, where have you been? You would've fit in perfectly at the outdoor concerts us old grandma's and grandpa's went to 😅😅😅 Keep rocking it! ❤
When this came out my friends and I went to the bars and ordered this for a long time and always sang it, Look Man, I want one bourbon, one scotch, and one beer. Gets you really hammered quick.
Excellent reaction! You gotta keep going with Thorogood, lots of great songs.
Great reaction! It was a lot of fun to watch! :) *cheers_from_germany
Have you ever reacted to "Rory Gallagher" - I got introduced to him, because of his "Bullfrog Blues" < if you don't know it, check out a live (!) version, if you want to.
Rory is known for his virtuosic-style of guitar playing and is often referred to as "the greatest guitarist you've never heard of!"
He sold over 30 millions records worldwide, but sadly past away at the young age of 47 :-( ... *rip
This is such a great beer drinkin', pool shootin' song. Love his "Bad to the Bone". Love a storytellin', spoken word, and love his high-energy boogie-blues. Ky Bourbon is my go to, my buddy Jim, (Jim Beam) Devils cut😈😈 . Thanx so much for the memories, Peace
My favorite Thorogood song is "Ride on Josephine". The video has some awesome classic cars and it's a great story.
I saw him at Fremantle Jail in Western Australia a few years back, still got it in his 70s
George Thorogood & The Destroyers opened for the Rolling Stones in 1981, what a concert!
George began his career in Newark delaware down the road from me. this story is about the housing in Newark which is a college town where they would split the house renting to as many people has they could..there were two bars in town one called the stone Ballon and the older one called the deer park tavern..I always invision him drinking at the deer park. loved George growing up. he has some Hits. it wasn't me...Josephine ect.
You'd love seeing him in concert. I've seen him probably 10 times and he's always incredible. Love your reaction, great choice. Check out his I drink alone, and also get a haircut. The man is so good!
Love your review Shon. Enjoy the ride😅
Maaaan…I’ve been waiting for this one!
lol, in my family, in my friend group, we all say “that don’t befront me” all the time. It’s just a common part of our vocabulary. 😆 All thanks to this quirky dude right here. To say this song is iconic and a classic is an understatement. So glad to see you enjoy it like we do! ❤
I saw George last year ! Still a good time !

You need to see him live doing this or other songs, his expressions are amazing.
It was so much fun watching you have so much fun!
Seen him live in concert awesome show yay, he can sing and play that guitar yeah, good review 🎸🥁🎤🤘😎🤘
The soundtrack of my 20’s. I still listen to him. Baddest 3 piece band ever.
The song was originally performed by Blues Legend John Lee Hooker
I've seen him live 2 times he puts on one hell of a show.
I've seen George Thorogood multiple times in a small backyard type bar in West Texas and they are always the most fun shows to go to
Also. Please please please please please please please react to Grand Funk Railroad inside looking out live version
Everyday that passes is another day that you are cheated of one of the greatest live acts of all time!
TOMMY BOLIN "DREAMER". STEVE EARLE "THE UNREPENTANT". Both ROCK!!
He joined two John lee Hooker songs, "House Rent Blues" and "One Bourbon, one scotch, one beer"! Great job too
That guitar was talkin the BLUES!🎸💙😎
Brother, you always get an automatic like when I pull up your videos, i know I'm gonna enjoy it. Keep up the good work
GT's guitar, is as famous as he is.

(Catch the snake on the bottom of the lower bout of Fang in the photos of GT playing)
My Odin, approves
EPIC EPIC EPIC Track and react!!! Next you gotta do "I Drink Alone" perfect bookend to this track!
Sounded like a freight train barreling down the tracks!
Great reaction. Love seeing you enjoying it!
They are as good live as they are in the studio
PS- another good drinking song is Irish Pub Song by The Rumjacks 😊, since Saint Patrick's Day coming up....
I drink alone! 😂😂 I've sung this song more than a few times. 😂
I like you dude! You dare to put on great songs. Songs people need to hear!!
i can't help but laugh with you! i'm having as much fun as you are just from watching you.
you need to do a reaction to his song...i drink alone.
I have to agree with other commenters. George's song 'I drink alone' pairs his guitar with a sax.....nice work.
I've been described as "a walking George Thorogood song."
Check out " If ya don't start drinkin " and "Ya talk too much". Good storytelling and storyteller
Fun song I really like his voice thanks Shon
Teresa
I didn't spend much time in bars in my days of youth...but I would walk by and look in the window...thus song was played multiple times every night lol
Gotta do I Drink Alone next!
And if you want some real heavy blues , you should hear the original by John Lee Hooker !
and of course he does Bad to the Bone!!!!
This the talkin' blues
Haha you don't drink much respect from one who drinks too much, stay healthy! Best revenge
We drank to this song. Lines up the shots and every time he sang the words, we took the shots. Lead to a few very messy nights.
For the record, he states “one burbon, one scotch, one beer 10 times. That’s 30 shots. I don’t think any of us took the full 30 shots 🤣
Great song 😊
This is a great song ! 😂 Great artist
🇬🇧 This was a first for me, and I loved it. Have you tried his "Bad To The Bone" yet? (In your words) It's FIRE 🔥❤🎸🎙️✨
Lonesome George can play it raunchy!
Great reaction ty😊
Paradise by the dashboard lights
Love your reactions.
