Dunno 'bout the rest o' yas but I'd wager that the time has come, after 21-23 years since the last big Capcom vs SNK installment. Of course, we could also be heading towards a brand new SNK led, 'SVC 2:_____' (I'm just not sure what to title the sequel to, 'SVC: Chaos'.) Given today's tech, these could potentially be epic collaborations for fighting games. DLC fighters couldn't be added unless their impending storyline could be adequately edited in to the lengthy story, thus enticing replays of the 'single player' campaign. I'd be down for either after 2 decades of patience
Half of me was expecting that it would just look the same as KOF15. But it looks like there is a graphical improvement and that SNK is making an effort to keep up with modern graphical standards. Impressive for a company that used to be considered behind with the times for KOF13 and 14 as well as on the brink of financial ruin.

Fatal Fury is what Street Fighter should have become, the creator of SF is the same who created Fatal Fury. Back in the 90's, the direct competitor for Street Fighter was Fatal Fury, a 2D fighting game based on 1 vs 1, but while SF had a a scheme of 6 buttons, FF had a simplyfied scheme of 4 buttons, but just with 3 attacks, but was a pretty much more technic game with many options to attack, defend and ground based combos, I'm pretty exhited because because even if there are a lot of fighting games now, SF and FF would be the closest one in terms of gameplay, but FF characters and lore is pretty much deeper.
I've been playing SF since SF1 in the arcades, early 1990s. I remember playing FF1 in the arcades early 1990s. It was never as good as SF. Similarly, DeadorAlive is never as good as Tekken or Virtua Fighter.

The FGC has been getting SPOILED these last few years. SF6 and MK1 last year, Tekken 8 this year and now Garou next year. Plus continued updates, rollback and/or DLC for GGS, KOFXV, SamSho, JBA All Star Battle R, Fighterz and KI. This really does feel like we're witnessing a 3rd Renaissance period
At least Nintendo Switch owners got Mortal Kombat 1, right? There's also the Capcom Fighting Collection which has more fighting games than the previous Digital Eclipse compilations.
I'm an old school FF fan from the Neo-Geo days. But, I've never been a massive fan of the Mark of the Wolves designs/characters. Hopefully, we'll see some more old school FF characters/designs in here and characters from some other SNK games like Street Smart, Burning Fight, etc. Also, I wish the look was more realistic than hyper-flashy anime style. But, that's just me. It's great to see FF back after too long.
