i can´t believe its been 3 years since this was announced, it was the beginning of a great dream. Back in that days i would never imagine how great the adventure will be. My friends and I pass hunger, sickness, sun burns, and all for getting all pokemon, even some of my friends aren´t whit us anymore. but i wil continue this journey for them.
The app works, but it's kinda boring. Was expecting something like "Geocache", but it's basically like "Where's Waldo". Also, you don't need to be there in real life, at a specific position. Just open Google maps in your phone and start looking for them. Though the application thingy might be fake. But who knows.
I realize this is just an epic aprils fools prank, but was this actually a thing on google maps for a day? There could potentially be a "geocaching" app to do this with that used the streets from maps and maybe Street View. Just wondering if this was actually a thing on maps o.o
cappew22 Yes, Pokémon would randomly appear on your app / computer. It was no sophisticated gameplay, you just clicked the Pokémon and it was added to your 'Pokédex'. Go to 2:00 of this video, that is what it actually looked like. The Pokémon locations were not unique to your system; I remember telling my friends what interesting Pokémon I found in a certain street of my hometown, and they could go there and find the same one.

No, actually. It is real. Not the way it's shown in the video but the game is on google maps. Search the world for 150 pokemon, I've got 26 currently. Dunno what happens if you get them all, probably nothing. That's probably the joke.
VaneFox once you pass a certain number of unique captures, it shows the next evolution of Pikachu. Aren't you curious what it shows when you get 150? I got all of them. Hehe.
