I hope that you have better luck with cigars than I have in the past. Tunneling, canoeing, and wrapper unraveling has been a common problems that I have had in the past. I quit smoking them 20 years or more ago. Picked up pipes shortly after.
I would like to see you try some snuff and hear your thoughts on it as a smokeless alternative to pipe and cigar smoking when you fancy something different. I smoke a pipe ordinarily. Enjoy the occasional cigar but also enjoy snuff, fruity, flowery and mentholated. Love you videos brother. Pipers seem to think deeply. Part of the practice of contemplative peace and relaxation.
Many years ago I had a small humidor with about 15 to 20 cigars. Granted I didn't really know much about it, but one day the lot of them were infested with cigar/tobacco mite. All were destroyed. That's another advantage of pipe tobacco!
@Smartiebob317 Not sure. But because pipe tobacco is somewhat processed it prob kills the eggs and mites. Cigar mites infested my cigars and was very noticeable.

You can buy a boveda humidor bag that you use to keep cigars fresh or use plastic container that has a good air seal and put a boveda pack in to have make sure the humidity is ok.

I been smoking pipes since the 1960’s. Only been enjoying cigars for a year or so and on a limited basis. I am a cheapskate so most of mine are in the $5 to $10 range. Although pipe tobacco & cigars are different I find you can find both will deliver almost the same nicotine and pleasure. The pipe takes a little more attention while smoking but both are great. I could go on & on but comments should not be a book. Looking 👀 forward to your next video. 💨💨
A cigar tip from a cigar smoker who just recently got into pipe smoking: H.upmann Regalias. An affordable cuban which is better than many much more expensive cigars. Now I’ll pack my pipe with S.G. FVF.
I quickly learned that Cuban cigars were a nightmare. The amount of smuggled boxes that I escorted across the border, I would still be in jail. Back in the very early nineties.
@@rootbeerfan6 Here in Europe they were always available, but since a large part of habanos was bought by some chinese company the price hike was ridiculous in the last year. Even though cubans are the ones I like most, it’s not worth the money. Which is why I got into pipe smoking, and I don’t regret it.

I’m a complete newbie re cigars. I’m having one of the guys introduce me to them this Spring.

Is it possible that pipe tobacco has some of those tobacco mites but are not as noticeable as they are in a cigar? 🤔

Great suggestion. A Tupperware container with a boveda pack is a great way to keep one’s cigars at a proper humidity. 👍🏻
