Pipes vs cigars??

For me, having been a cigar smoker before being a pipe smoker, I’ve learned to appreciate the pipe as a daily ritual and meditative practice and smoking cigars only during social occasions. It also saved me a lot of money switching from cigars a lot of the time to pipes lol. Going from 5-8 cigars a week to a cigar every week or every other week has definitely been easier on the wallet.

Long time cigar smoker, since the boom in the mid 90’s and pipes for only about a year. Can’t remember where I saw the following analogy but I find it hits the nail on the head. To ME, smoking a cigar is like enjoying a whisky (bourbon, scotch, etc), pipe smoking is like enjoying wine.

I was initially a cigar smoker but after trying pipe smoking for the first time I became a pipe smoker and only smoke a cigar a few times a year. Cigars are more luxurious and pipes are more meditative

Absolutely, I smoke maybe one cigar a month but pipe daily, the ritual and routine of en pipe is meditativ to me

Cigars are by far my favorite. If time and money was no object and was forced to pick between cigars and pipes it would for sure be cigars however ive been a parallel cigar and pipe smoker for about 9 years now. I am an English/Balkan lover. Right now i am trying to make English my winter smoke and cigars my summer smoke.

It is tragic super low end cigar. Guantanamera right? But at the end isnt the point. You have right with all. Im smoking cigars - 3 per day, and now discovering new world of pipes and Im soo surprised how hard is learn smoke all types of pipe tobaccos, pipe types, humidity etc. b ut is super fascinating. Im in that.

Thank you for this video. Your raw honesty and observation is very much appreciated and hopefully understood. I loved the comment that you made about people not always being really connected to their pipe. That is a wonderful observation. One I've even wondered about myself sometimes. But, I do still try to enjoy smoking my pipe and hopefully it will "grow" on me more and more! Merry Christmas to you and your family and thank you, as always, for the videos.
