- The Capital One Savor One credit card is one of the best no annual cards on the market. It is easily a top tier credit card with a nice sign up bonus and many perks and benefits. The SavorOne can be paired perfectly with a Venture card, like the Venture X, to convert rewards to Capital One miles which can be transferred out to travel partners. No matter how you use this card, it is fantastic for cash back and travel.

Very well explained! Thank you
You’re welcome! I’m happy to provide this kind of information
Great breakdown of the card! Love how you made it clear in the beginning which SavorOne is the better option of the 3. Thanks!
Sometimes the Capital One cards can be confusing because they all look the same haha. This SavorOne is definitely the best one to get!
Just got my Savor One in the mail. My 3rd Capital one card in under a year. Started with the Quicksilver One, then got the Venture One, now this. I do not have excellent credit according to that definition you read either. It was barely fair when i got the quicksilver.
Thanks for the informative videos helping me understand my benefits better.
That's sweet you got the Savor One and good to hear that you now have 3 Capital One cards! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos and I appreciate your support!
Man, I've been watching your delivery videos for a while now and I had no idea you had a channel like this. Lol Just subscribed!
I'm really into maximizing cash back in every category possible so I'm looking into this card to max out my entertainment category without paying an annual fee. Closing in on $100,000 of combined credit limits for my cards as well. Lol
So glad you found me over here! That's awesome about the cash back strategy and the $100k of credit limit is nice as long as it's used responsibly
@@JacobsPointsAndProfit never hold a penny of a balance on any of it. Lol it's definitely more than I need but hey if they want to give it to me then fine. My utilization is less than 5%.
Love this card. I applied back in September with a starting limited of 7,000. I just received my CL increase to 10,000 about 2 weeks ago.
That’s a nice credit limit. I like this card a lot
Given my excessive theme park budget and affinity for metal cards, I'm on Team Savor. Great video.
Thank you! 4% on dining, entertainment, and streaming is pretty nice especially if you're using this card for all your Disney trips
What an amazing card for no annual fee!
It's a pretty nice one that we'll always keep open!
I have this and the Gold as well as the VX, if the Gold card gets "refreshed" and the credits suck I'll cancel that and rock this again. Amazing card for no AF.
Yes, many people like to compare Savor One to the AMEX Gold card. I am very happy with my Savor One opposed to a $250 Gold card, but of course would be willing to get the Gold because of the sign up bonus. I'll be awaiting any changes from American Express on the Gold card whether that happens this year or in the future.
I’m assuming gold card will get the same treatment as the delta cards and get a resy credit. Since the nearest resy restaurant is 104 miles from my house it’s definitely a cancel for me.
So I’ll likely pick up the savor1 at that point.
@@ranktank45 I've used Resy exactly one time when I had to book a reservation for a place in DC with a friend. 100% a cancel if they add a resy credit and you can't break even without it.
Why would you carry both the Gold and the Savor? I’m about to cancel my Gold for the Savor
I got the Gold for the SUB, about to get the Savor One so I can use the Uber credit on the Gold and leverage the 10% with the Savor one and then I’ll cancel the Gold and use the Savor One.
I already has 3 capital one cards when I applied for the savor, and I got approved for 10k. The 2 card rule hasn’t been an issue so far for me.
That's really good to know. Are any of the other 3 cards business cards?
@@JacobsPointsAndProfit no they are not been a member capital one member since 2019 they approved me for my first credit card, I have a platinum my first card 3,000, quicksilver 2200, and bass pro for 500. Not to mention I also have Amazon Prime card, Apple Card, 1 discover, 2 city cards as well when I applied for the savor one last week lol. I want to apply for the venture X soon so I can run that duo.
How do we get approved for higher credit card limits
this is my first credit card and i realized i didnt know which one i applied too, most likely i think its the good credit one but got 1k out of it. still stoked about it!
I think this is a fantastic one to have as your first card!
This is awesome info! I use my Amex Gold for everything, but abroad some places don't take Amex. I really get angry at making purchases with my no-annual-fee Citi Double Cash or Chase Freedom and getting hit with a 3% foreign fee. Thanks to your video, now I feel more confident about getting the SavorOne, not to mention that the info about the conversion of cash back to miles which is extraordinary. I'll get the Savor first for my travels abroad, and then after a year or so, get the VentureOne Rewards (no annual fee) to start converting the cumulative cash back from SavorOne. Thanks!
That 3% foreign fee hurts and I always want to avoid that. The SavorOne is a really nice pickup for cash back or for travel rewards!
I had the platinum card, They upgraded Me to this card. 😀😀
Nice! How are you liking it so far?
Just got approved today. I was actually offered this card multiple times. And being pre-approved is not a guarantee I actually got denied the first one. I applied today once again and got approved for $500!. I am happy for it as I wanna have this card for a long time and am already happy to have it despite having a low limit.
I got the downgraded version of it. There's no welcome bonus nor Uber one 1 year benefits that I have on the card that I was pre-approved and applied as I currently don't have job and I'm 20 yo. I currently have all capital one cards. Platinum/quicksilver/walmart and lastly this savorone. All of them are $0 annual fee which helps a lot. And hoping to age them all good and just go on from there. 😊
That awesome about the approval! It's great to start off with $0 annual fee cards when you're young and let them age over time. The Savor One is definitely a good card to have and I'm happy I have it in my wallet
Is this metal card ? Or only v1 and vx are metal cards ? Good details in this video!
I'm not sure about which Capital One cards are metal, but I know the Venture X is and the $95 annual fee Savor card might be. The Savor One is 100% plastic, but it still looks and feels pretty good
Why do people care about the material
for pre-approval process...do you need to unfreeze your credit agencies? And then do they do one hard pull or hard pull on all 3?
You probably want to unfreeze for the pre-approval but it’s a soft pull, so I’m not sure if you need to. For the application they hard pull all 3, but on my most recent Capital One application I froze Experian and I was approved instantly
Great card, video and information Jacob! 🫵
Thanks Cesar! The Savor One is pretty great
The terms and conditions says that Walmart and target purchases are not counted as grocery, which is ridiculous!
Sadly, you'll see the same thing across other card issuers like Chase for example. I buy many of my groceries from Walmart so it's sad that this is the case
I have excellent credit (or so I thought) and keep only getting pre-approved for the good credit version 😩 I’m assuming I have to wait until a couple of hard inquiries fall off my report (1 in the last year, 4 in the last 2)
That's so weird. Maybe the hard inquiries are part of it but 1 in last 12 months and 4 in the last 24 months isn't very much. I'd say keep trying every now and then to see if anything changes. Sometimes Capital One doesn't like people with excellent credit for some reason
@@JacobsPointsAndProfit I’ve heard that as well! They’re so predatory lol I’ll hopefully have a good update in a few months when I revisit 🤞🏼
I’m debating on getting the Citi premier (Strata now) and the custom cash, but perhaps getting the Savor One might be the better way to go to pair up with my Venture X? Thoughts? Still worth getting if you have the AMEX Gold?
I think the Savor One pairs perfectly with the Venture X. I love having both cards. $0 annual fee cards always make sense to get as long as you’re ok using up a Chase 5/24 slot and this card could eventually take the place of the AMEX Gold if you no longer want to pay the annual fee. The Citi Premier and Custom Cash are solid too but again 5/24 is something to think about if you care about it
@@JacobsPointsAndProfit Thanks for your feedback. Technically the Savor One could replace the AMEX gold, but it's hard to give up AMEX transfer partners. Would having the AMEX gold and Savor One at the same time not be a good idea?
@@Ryan-iq2zd You could definitely have both! They have similar earnings is dining and grocery, but the Savor One also has plenty of categories that isn't covered by the AMEX Gold. If you already love the AMEX Gold and don't want to get rid of it, that's totally fine because adding the Savor One will enhance whatever your current strategy is for a $0 annual fee
@@JacobsPointsAndProfit Thank you bro'! I appreciate you...
That rule you mentioned about approving cards when you have gotten more than one card within 6 months wasn’t true for me. I stayed in good standing with my quicksilver card and spent 2-3 times my limit(payed it off multiple times a month) and applied for a credit increase after 3 months they tripled my limit(from 1k to 3k) and then I applied for the savor one and was approved for 5k limit immediately!
That’s awesome the 6 month rule didn’t apply for your situation. I think the 6 month rule is one of those things people say is the truth even if it was only true in some cases
I closed Capital One credit card yesterday. Don't like customer service.Disputed my charge and charged me back again. Even Walmart credit me back to Capital one.And somehow lost. frustrated with customer call center India accent.Never again with Capital One Walmart credit card. 😮😢 Bye Felicia. 😅
That sounds like a rough experience. I’ve heard rumors about Capital One not having a great relationship with Walmart for their credit card. I’m not sure who’s to blame but it sounds like it’s affecting people
Just fyi, the SavorOne for good credit that he showed in the beginning is Exactly the same as the normal SavorOne card except it has no signup bonus.
That's good to note! It can a good idea to use their pre-approval tool to see which card Capital One will allow you to have before you apply
It shouldn't matter but good versions of CapOne cards usually have a set 29.99% apr instead of a Prime or LIBOR based variable rate
Can’t do three hard pulls with the credit bureaus.
The hard pulls to all three credit bureaus is rough, but in my Venture X application video, I was able to freeze my Experian credit report. Capital One pulled from the other two bureaus and I was approved
@@JacobsPointsAndProfitwow that’s amazing ; thanks for the data point
@@JacobsPointsAndProfitliked & subscribed. Awesome content!!
@@callmeNeno Thanks so much! I appreciate it
Same.
*Unbiased* but has a referral link in description 😂😂
Everyone can make their own decision on if they want the card, but if this video helps people apply for a great card then I'll take the referral
I just recently got the SavorOne Rewards Card but I only got $50 after spending $200. How come this is the case?
That's interesting. It's possible the card you got is one of the other SavorOne cards or Capital One offered you a different welcome offer than the public offer. I would always recommend double checking the welcome offer before submitting the application to make sure you get the bonus you want
@@JacobsPointsAndProfit Thanks for the reply! I will do that.
Is this card a visa or mastercard?
It's a Mastercard!
Thanks! Was trying to figure it out and you were the only one that answered ! Appreciate it
i have 6 capital one cards
That’s a lot of cards! Which ones do you have?
I wish 3% gas was included!
3% gas would make this card even better!
@@JacobsPointsAndProfitThen it would be a competitor to the Citi Strata Premier with respect to earnings. SavorOne would just be missing travel categories. Of course, Strata Premier offers a larger bonus, so that card would be highly valuable at least in the first year.
Go to the cafe plz lol
Haha I guess I have to make it happen at some point
@@JacobsPointsAndProfit that would be awesome fr
I’m trying to decide if this card would be worth it since I go to Amusement Parks often. Do you know if purchasing online tickets through Universal Studios are coded as entertainment? Or as merchandise?
It’s tough to be 100% sure but amusement parks should count as entertainment for the SavorOne card
