One of the most effective ways to improve your health is to simply eliminate things. It’s not even necessarily about DOING things anymore it’s just eliminating since we’ve developed such bad habits. Like eliminating sugar, eliminating cigarettes, drugs, refined wheat, seed oils, alcohol. So many people consume it and way too much of it and aren’t aware of how damaging it actually is.
I didn’t drink in 2023, I still do not enjoy drinking or the effects of alcohol but it seemed like women I dated with saw me not drinking as a red flag. I still try never do “drink dates” because I’m not looking for hookups. But when I’d say “yeah I’m not drinking”, I’d get unmatched so damn often. I’ve started drinking again this year but I feel like it will be the downfall of me but it makes everyone else less awkward and annoying than when I have to explain why I’m not drinking
Don’t start drinking to appease everyone. You will find the right one who appreciates the fact that you are strong enough to go against the grain! It’s not worth it. The longer you stick with it too the more people will actually feel confident that you are serious about it and that there’s less of a chance for you to relapse. Plus if women prioritize alcohol like that then you def don’t want them in your life anyway!!! Coming from someone whose bf has had drinking probs on and off. I speak from experience 😊

I did my partying when younger but soon realized alcohol is NOT my friend. Just too damn powerful and totally makes you stupid w/o the usual second thoughts. And DO feel poisoned after the first 5 minutes THEN pay for it a couple days. Weed is absolutely the best (at least for me and adults). Impossible to O.D. or go too far except for a nap. Believe me, I've TRIED to "smoke too much" and it's impossible. You either end up doing a jigsaw puzzle or forget. Instead of driving into a pole, I clean the house. Write books. Paint. Get deep into projects or normal work. Could use 2 weeks straight then run out. Oh, rats. Oh, well. Next time. No DTs. No physical addictions. Godsend. DISCLAIMERS: If I could wander off from school for an Oz tour through the local woods from low-power 1970s homegrown, it should be ONLY for adults, esp the super potent strains of today. Plus the concentrates, dabs, infused rolls, etc. It damn well inspires, energizes, gets people off their rumps (depending on strain) and unlocks tons of creative potential BUT probably more will daze (or doze) off or become the caricature "pot heads". Same with alcohol, coffee or just about anything, eh? I'm also pushing 65 (unsure how THAT happened), worked mostly as an EMT, etc. in acute care settings like Trauma Centers/ERs as well as in-house med and psych units. In 30 years I saw not ONE person negatively affected by weed (barring stories of people freaking out from getting dosed w/o their knowledge like a brownie). YES, I believe people have died such as losing control while trying to load a bowl or something but that's distraction that could be from anything. It is still ... distracting to point you LIKELY will go off on some unrelated tangent of the task at hand so yeah, NOT for anyone needing to be alert 100% like driving, flying, etc. People are different. Some can't handle it or don't like the effects ... it is 100% true that it makes you more aware of yourself/actions and you realize a lot of the dumb things you do or other truths you can't avoid because the lying to yourself is also impossible. Lots of people can't handle that. But overall, all good. We're just people. There will always be SOMETHING out there people want so they can chill, etc. Best to pick the thing that doesn't transform you into a monster.
Having wine with a meal and whisky with friends will always be timeless. However, abusing any substance, especially alcohol, inevitably leads to negative consequences.
It seems like everyone who is against alcohol has a personal experience with severe alcoholism. Whether it’s raised by alcoholic parents or they became an alcoholic themselves. Yes, alcohol can be bad but most people don’t experience severe alcoholism and most things in moderation are not super harmful. Just because I see obese people doesn’t mean fast food doesn’t have a place in society. If you choose to drink, great more power to you; but if you choose not to drink, also great more power to you. I see in this productivity culture that everything we do has to be good for us in some way. I think that is a terrible way to live.
Most people don't look at the alternative to alcohol, Prohibition And even to this day, the crimes committed, including the income tax, have inflicted untold suffering to total strangers under that moral grandstanding.
This may have been true in the past, but not anymore. People are waking up to the fact that alcohol is a carcinogenic poison, and they don’t want it in their bodies. Almost every beer manufacturer now has a non-alcoholic option because people are truly waking up to the damage that alcohol has done to our society.
I turned it WAY down about six months ago and about a month ago shut it off completely. I've lost weight and I feel a lot better, physically and emotionally. I don't just feel good, but I feel good about myself. And it's great that I'm not spending my money on it. I used to feel like I needed it after a hard day, or to celebrate victories but now that I'm not drinking I realize that I don't and I'm better off without. I recommend quitting drinking to anyone. Alcohol is processed just like sugar
11 months alcohol free. No more one glass of wine a day for me. I lost 7 lbs as a result of being a teetotaler!
I will NEVER stop listening to TRUE Heavy Metal
Congrats Vinny and Adam on your time sober. I have a few vices that I desperately want to stop. It’s extremely difficult but I’ll keep praying and moving forward.
It's the federal government who chose to legalize alcohol. They knew how dangerous and addictive it was. It's a form of control.
Somebody doesn't know history....
Research the 18th amendment and what a colossal failure prohibition was. If you don’t like alcohol then don’t drink!
yep
One of the most effective ways to improve your health is to simply eliminate things. It’s not even necessarily about DOING things anymore it’s just eliminating since we’ve developed such bad habits. Like eliminating sugar, eliminating cigarettes, drugs, refined wheat, seed oils, alcohol. So many people consume it and way too much of it and aren’t aware of how damaging it actually is.
I drank for 45 years never had a problem.
Nice 👌
That's the problem the first step of addiction is denial! 😢
Fifty years of alcohol. I will go months without a drink but absolutely love Guinness. Trouble is beer gives a man a beer belly.

Moderation.. one red wine a day is used by the famous areas of people who live 3 digit ages
Started Dry Jan and enjoying the sober life!
If she thinks not drinking is a red flag, THAT is a red flag.
As a former heroin addict, alcohol is THE worst drug. Thats why its legal.
100%!!! Control the food, control the alcohol…. Control the people.
My father was an alcoholic, as is my cousin currently.
I’d rather be in a room with 100 stoners, than just one alcoholic. Straight facts.
Sugar is the worst drug.
They're ALL EVIL!! Sugar, alcohol, heroin, weed and Nicotine should be BANNED!! It doesn't matter which one is legal

FACT
Before they do anythin with alcohol they need to remove all the process chemicala out of foods.
No, they can start with alcohol. Pretty sure nobody has slept with someone they wish they hadn’t or gotten into a car accident because they had too many McDonald’s french fries.
@@nicolemillward287 uhmm no they tried the alcohol thing and it ended badly. Process foods is killing everyone inclusing babies. It is hurting more people that alcohol you just can't see it.
Alcohol ruined my marriage and left my three children with a father who was unable to connect or get out of his angry spot because he drank every single day. He was a mean drunk.
Sorry to hear that 😢
You mean your husband who chose to be an alcoholic ruined your marriage. I’m sure the alcohol did not say drink me every day. That’s like blaming a gun for killing someone. I am empathetic to what your family went through though. 🙏🏾
@@positivityleads2success Murder is not a good comparison. Alcoholism is an addiction and makes a person powerless, and yes, only they can say they are sick and tired of being sick and tired. Go visit an AA meeting and listen to the stories, generally people have to hit bottom before they reach their conclusion. Fear of total loss has to be stronger than the fear of not having that next drink. Some never get there, sadly. And I was lucky enough to hit that bottom.
And yet you chose to marry and have a kid 3 times with this guy…don’t blame the alchohol - you both made a choice. Accountability.
@@Crinkle.Stilt.Skin. you assumed too much. We had all three kids and an outstanding marriage for 15 years before he became an alcoholic. I would never be so stupid as to marry ry a drinker or a druggie.
They want EVERYTHING under their "guidelines" & control. "You'll own nothing and be happy." WEF Klauss Schwaub.
I wonder what it is about those who get hooked on it vs those who can just have a drink and turn it off. Never been a big deal for me thank god.
Good for you Vinny ❤

I’m 62 , at the gym at 3 am 7 days don’t get sick , don’t have sugar, ( beer I know ) I have everything in moderation 🤙🇦🇺
who got a booze ad before the video starts lol ? 😆
Congrats Vinny
I am an alcoholic. I know it is poison. I hate that it is normalized. All alcohol advertisement should be banned anywhere a child could possibly see it. At least the same way cigarette advertisement is banned in certain places.
totally agree, and for Fks sake stop writing it into every TV scene
After seeing a long list of people I highly respect who've stopped drinking, I stopped three months ago. I'm glad to see Vinnie is now added to that list. Adam, too.
im literally drinking a beer while watching this.
Holding a martini
I can't wait for my nightly whiskey and bong rip. Cheers friends
I'm drinking coconut water because I was getting charlie horses at work and even muscle spasms on my forearms. But at work I was thinking of Lager beers.
Is it the type of alcohol we drink? Is it bingeing? Are these statistics the same for the French or Italians who smoke cigs and enjoy wine with dinner?
Two drinks a day is crazy. You’re basically an alcoholic
The problem is most people can’t control themselves, they can’t have just one. I love a good Merlot or Cab at dinner or sitting on the patio in the evening. It’s about being happy and controlling yourself.
Props Vinnie! I just passed 16 months clean and sober. Man, ive been going through it this week or two. Pretty much holding on. Its tough mentally. But this shall pass. Im happy guys like Vinnie and Tucker etc are talking about this stuff
Im not a drinker but gov trying to be big brother and now big mother, isn't American period. The gov is no different than a foreign invader at this point.
Godsend. DISCLAIMERS:
If I could wander off from school for an Oz tour through the local woods from low-power 1970s homegrown, it should be ONLY for adults, esp the super potent strains of today.
No one cares about federal guidelines
Love hearing you talk about your sobriety journey Vinny, and I appreciate it. Keep it up man
I remember Barney and Fred smoking in cartoon chatting.
I remember that too. Fred & Barney smoked Winston cigarettes.
Having wine with a meal and whisky with friends will always be timeless. However, abusing any substance, especially alcohol, inevitably leads to negative consequences.
Nice comment!
Most people don't look at the alternative to alcohol, Prohibition
And even to this day, the crimes committed, including the income tax, have inflicted untold suffering to total strangers under that moral grandstanding.
Like don't wait until you're out of control, you don't need that crap.
Maybe make marijuana legal? It's a safer drug
Never met a sad stoner unless he was out of weed or munchies
I’m getting minnect to talk to Vinny. Think he’s the friend we all need.

I see I made the drunks mad 😂 oh well I go to a bar 3 times a week to play pool and haven’t drank since my 21st just cause it’s every where means nothing, the fact is it’s pointless and there’s much better ways to unwind that don’t poison you in the process 😂 but have at it, seems like daddy government has something to say about it again, bring back prohibition

Where's the government when it comes to poison vaccines during the pandemic?
I drink very, very little and have no problems with alcohol, but I don’t feel comfortable with the government sticking its nose in yet another area. I don’t smoke. One cup of coffee per day, two on the weekends. Congratulations to these two gentlemen who are doing better in life without alcohol! I love audio books and good music, too! We need to be careful what we feed our souls! God bless!
