    I know you have done many chipping videos over years, but this is the best by a street! Been utilising this technique for a while after watching the Padraig Harrington chipping vlog! Contact is effortless, so glad you are promoting this style! Great vlog

    This man right here was sent by God to save all my fellow golfers wanting to improve their game no matter the handicap. I see so many people pick golf up, buy nice clubs etc, get on the golf cloud 9, and then hit the range. They start hitting great get on the course and fall apart after the first couple holes and get frustrated & burn themselves out. It breaks my heart. My dad turned to me today and said i think im going to give up golf. So im desperately trying to learn how to teach someone to improve. Nobody explains + shows you how to do this except this man right here. Take it from me the stuff he is showing you would cost pretty decent money from a instructor. Plus hes taking the time out of his day to do this. Big respects to all my fellow golfers out there! Only one way yo get better practice, learn, then practice some more.

      Another fantastic video from Danny. Chipping cost's me 5-10 shots easily. I will now take this information and use it fri on the course. I have a handicap of 26 and i really want to break 100. It would mean so much. I do beat myself up if i make a bad shot, i am my worst enemy

    This flat out works, been using it for last year on course, way more confident now! No need to look at another chipping video ever! Hands down you best tip ever Danny and that's up against some stiff competition! Also, my son who is a beginner has been shanking chips and pitches recently, shattered his confidence. He has been using this over the past 2 weeks, touch wood, chipping onto green from 10-30 yards and gaining his love of game back

    Hi Danny, seven month ago, I watched your lesson with Peter Cowen, headed to the chipping green and started practising. It gave me so much confidence around the green. Thank you so much for the great video today ! Rhythm is it !

      Hi Eva, I was also thinking back to the session with Pete Cowen. This session with Danny and Pete and also the material I found directly with Pete changed the quality of my short game very much.
      In todays lesson, Danny, I see a different concept in taking the right foot back where a couple of months ago then it was taking the left foot back and to have much more open stance.
      Could you tell us something about this? This would be very interesting. Thanks, William

What I'm hoping you can help identify from this video and other previous chipping videos is when you should focus on the shaft being more vertical and when it should be a little more horizontal. Is it the closeness to the hole that determines the shaft position or the type of shot you are trying to create?

      Danny went out today tried your method, still couldn’t chip, until a friend told me I was (like many others) lifting my head just before hitting the ball and to concentrate on

    • @mick19421
      @mick19421 ปีที่แล้ว

      Looking at ball, saying to yourself keep head still before making chip, seems to have solved it. Might be a good addition to you method. Seemed to make shot much crisper and certainly help considerably.

    Super. I do exactly, always, this pose on the course. Friends laugh at me saying you look like a heron. But it works absolutely well. Since I raised the heel of my right foot, the chip has become my best golf shot. But, we must also insist on the fact of finishing the slow movement oriented towards the chosen target. At first, I measured my distance on four positions (heel, knees, hip, shoulder) to know my lengths, with irons 60 °, 56 °, P, 9. Idem for the bunkers but only with 60 ° and several openings of the club. Great advice. Thank you. Sorry for my English, I am French-speaking.

    Brilliant video again, ive learnt so much from all of them. A big issue im facing especially around the greens is the 50 - 60m pitch type shots. I keep getting a tonne of height but alot of videos i watch talk about keeping it low which gives a nice spin. Do u have any tips on that? Also i play on a links course and often find the ball below my feet and facing downhill. Do u have any tips on hitting from these types of ball lies - often i end up almost shanking it

      @DanielMaude  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Play the shot lower. The first thing you want to be able to do is is reduce the dynamic loss through the impact area. You can do this by moving the ball slightly further back in your stance. The key however is to make sure that you don’t just come down steeply on the ball. You still want a nice shower angle of attack but just imagine keep in the loft down through the impact area

    Many thanks Danny for your videos. The one thing that’s changed my game is handle location through the ball and it’s all down to your demonstration of how a golf club swings I call it tick toke. It works for me Hcp was 15 now down to 10 and looking forward t a good summer.

    Danny! That was a great demonstration on how important "rhythm" is in shot making! I can tell instantly when I get out of rhythm and the results are not good! All the "caveats" you were discussing can and will happen without this type of rhythm method! Good job Danny! Keep up the good work!!

    I was taught by a pro to open my stance by about 30 degrees in the bunkers and open the sand wedge club face too. What you are advising goes mostly against that, but it's innovative... and I'll try it. I'm worried a bit about too much weight on the leading leg with your suggestion. Hitting one or two inches behind the ball in the sand is ok, obviously depending on the firmness or softness of the sand. I agree on one point though... good, quality chipping could save almost a shot per hole.

    • @DanielMaude
      @DanielMaude  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I was taught to play bunkers with an open stance too. It works. It’s just a lot less effective than the square stance

    Hi Danny, thanks for the video. I'm trying to marry it up to other chipping videos of yours that i've watched, specifically the one showing 3 chip shots that can be used around the green. In that video, your ball placement moved from back in your stance (for the upright, pendulum chip) to forward in your stance for the chips requiring more loft. In this video, it seems the ball position is forward for all of the different shots you execute, even the last shot which is a chip and run. Can you help me understand the difference in ball position across these two videos?

    • @DanielMaude
      @DanielMaude  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can move the ball position around quite a bit to flight the ball slightly higher or lower
