Really awesome you're getting your own avatar that we can fly with!!! There seems to be so few female flight simmers it's easy for any one of us to feel like we're the only one. I'm so happy to have discovered your channel and that there are other girl simmers out there. You do such an amazing job introducing new addons and representing us. ❤
The more alaska bush strips I get in the sim is a win for me I mainly do Alaska Bush flying. Almost all of my freeware and payware airports are for Alaska
I love the Monster NX Cub. I learned a lot about it watching videos from a factory rep who told the buyer to get into a downwind, cut the power and when it touches down, SMASH the brakes and it works! Thanks a bunch for sharing! ✌
This developer is really super, but Alaska is really big and terrain texture quality in such remote area remain poor. MSFS don't give its best in rural area unfortunatly.
This developer js the only one able to reproduct bushstrips " almost like in reality". Beatiful. Hope he will do other airstrips like this one. A must have.
Thanks for taking the time to fly out that way and try out the scenery, Rachael! The butterflies are all found around the flowers more near the Northern end of the airstrip. The Bears all roam around and one will cross the runway along it's path. The best chance to see it is when you first spawn in as it crosses the runway shortly after that. The scenery coverage area also goes on just past the lake immediately to the North. There are a couple dozen cabins throughout the coverage area and a handful around the lake have some extra detail as well!
Now that I've had my coffee and daily dose of AvAngel I can concentrate on the rest of the day!😁👍🏽 Sidenote: Did anyone else experience a noticable drop in framerate around 7 and a half min. into the video? Don't know if it was my Pewter, or TH-cam output, or what? Anyone know if this will be compatable with ORBX Alaska mesh?
Try flying the OV10 from 53u to 8u2 remembering that the prevailing wind is somewhere from the west,oh yes, there are mountains in the way.I've done it kinda hairy but doable...........................................................
"Waiting for the snow to come." Well, too late. In Fairbanks, we've had snow on the ground for nearly two weeks. Not much, and it's been a mess. Usually, the first snow melts, and the second or third kinda stick around as the temps decline (white ground=more reflected heat). This year is weird. It just stayed warm and mushy for a while (doesn't help when officious beaurocrats insist, "well, salt works in Anchorage!" I digress. The scenery in the "Mat-Su" area should at least look like fall, not summer, as it does in your video. Low tonight in Fairbanks was something like -13c, and by Monday, highs will be about -3c. It was also pretty windy, with gusting winds to 40 kph. This comment got way to long. Sorry. Anyway, at least north of the Alaska Range (not the "Denali" range) its been winter for a while... Mild, but still winter. Sorry, I don't want to come across as nit-picky or spiteful. I like your content. You're honest, I think, and insightful. Thank you for continuing to provide well thought out and useful content!
Thanks for the video and for highlighting these great bush strips. And it's fantastic that your avatar is going to be added - I'll definitely be doing some flying with you!
Dear Rachel, Thanks for making this video. Because of you I tried out the freeware airstrips they offer in Alaska. I really like the locations, they are really gorgeous. But performance wise it is poorly optimized imo. My cpu temps rose over 75 degrees centigrade pushing 80. After deleting the packages, the temps went back to normal. I am curious to know about your experiences regarding ESD products. Cheers Mark

I couldn't agree more with this comment. AvAngel was a breath of fresh air when I found her channel. We need loads more women in flight simming!
Definitely not as many of us.
Absolutely pumped that the Monster Cub, Grravel and Carbon are coming to Xbox!

AvAngel is going to be my copilot. I mean what could go wrong? 🤣🤣🤣
Many things
Keep up the good work, Rachel! Looking forward to flying "with" you when your avatar comes out! Looking forward to Chelatna Lake to be available.
Thank you for mentioning Xbox for us Xbox users ❤

Love the sim of my airport/airstrip Fort Crosby 8AK5. The detail and accuracy is impressive! If your ever in Alaska and want to fly in please do.
Can't wait to have you as pilot/co-pilot - someone else can experience my 'perfectly professional?' landings other than Doggo and Captain Kitty ;)

Like before I see... only a few content creators get this treatment ;) Love from Portugal, cheers!
Cool thank you for this informative video. You got yourself a new subscriber.

The video did mess up around that time - not just you.
It is fully compatible with ORBX's Alaska Mesh! :)
@@Rotornut44 Thanks!
I’m glad you get an avitar, can’t wait to see you!
