Hi David What a beautiful piece of wood it has lots of character and the grain is lovely the colours are nice and the markings are awesome. The live edge bowl is magnificent you have done a marvellous job. I love your videos you always surprise with what you turn you are an fantastic masterwoodturner. Thank you for a great video can't wait to see what you do next. Amanda xx
Beautiful work David 👏! I really like a natural edge bowl. I think some times people try to get their bowls to perfect and they really don't need to. Take care and GOD BLESS 🙏!
You make it look so easy, but I doubt I'd have the strength to keep such steady hand when turning a huge bowl like that - beautiful fluid shape and flowing curves. Another amazing work of art! 🤩👍💪👀🥇
Was it an optical illusion or did the wood expand like clay? I was mesmerized by it whatever happened. This craft is so impressive to have the hands and mind to create these beautiful works of art where nature meets machinery and creativity.
Beautiful bowl! I like the feet's on it! 😁 It's awesome how the wood decides what the shape is going to be and you just go with the flow. Let it speak for itself!
Great test for the lathe. It looked solid as a rock and I can imaging that was quite out of balance. 😊. Yew is beautiful, loving the natural edge and the foot 🔥🔥🔥👍
Nice job. One woodturner question : where did you get the piece of equipment that fits your chuck on the tailstock? I turn on a oneway 1640 and usually use a Oneway liver center. Thank you in advance.
Thank you for watching 😀

That was a nice looking chunk of wood! It's beautiful now!
Oh wow that's beautiful, David!
Love it from the bottom...the way you did the base, combined with the rings of the tree, make it look like a topographic map!
Excellent and lovely dish, you enhanced the wood beautifully.
Great photography 👌
Thanks for sharing.

Very nicely done piece, the legs make it happen! Cheers from MT USA.
What a lovely bowl. Most people, including myself, would have not gone to the trouble of making the feet. Good job 🌞
WOW, nice
This is so beautiful. Love the little lighter wood trim on some of it. The wood itself is fantastic. Thanks for sharing David!

Lovely bowl. Would be great for my knitting yarn.
David, you made a beautiful yew bowl... and then put feet on it. IMO, bowls don't need feet, ankles, toes or elbows. Just saying.

Beautiful work David. What is that large Caride Gouge you are using? It appeared you were using it like a Negative Rake Scraper. Just curious.
Thank you, checl out simon Hope woodturning scrapers
Good job as usual :) What is the big round negative scraper than you use to smooth the inside ?
Thank you :) Check out Simon Hope negative rake scrapers
Great job. The Bowl is wonderful, but i do not like the feet. Just my personal taste.
Fair enough! Thanks for watching!

Do YEW wear a respirator?
Thank yew for the concern but yes of course. A very good one too so I should be still around for a while :)
it's half a bowl
I should call bowless
Isn't this wood lethally poison?
Yes if you were to eat a handful of yew leaves. But even when turning good respirator and air circulation is vital
