  • Neon signs were first seen in Paris, France when the chemist Georges Claude perfected a way to control the illumination of electrified neon gas in a tube. Charles Osgood looks back at how neon lights have evolved since their original appearance on December 11, 1910.

    I wish signage still looked like this. So much character. Today's signs are completely devoid of it

    also here in Avenida Rizal Manila Philippines in 70s it is popular until its decline in mid-80s.
