I'm happy we get to learn about these concepts from a Ganon main, so it's automatically got more credibility. Thank you for the video, for the music, and your hard work!
I feel this advice, precisely due to its abstraction, could be applied to any aspect of one's life one seeks improvement in. Great articulation, Verb. Thank you for sharing your patterns and heuristics.
The biggest thing is that for me is like the creative process in the game and so many scenarios and infinte ways of playing out. I've been playing for four years. But at the same time its middle ground for me.
Just the video I needed right now, I'm stupidly bad at the game (which it is a shame , I bought my first Nintendo Console for it) and have "quit" so many times already and was ready to do so for the final time until I got recommended your videos, it really has helped me to stop hitting my head against the wall, figuratively and almost literally after every match, I'm still on floor level skill but a few times lately I felt I gained some insight about what mistakes I'm doing and while not correcting them at the very least I started to acknowledge them. I gotta rewatch all of your videos since I mostly binge watched them and because they are heavy on conceptual content I need to digest them better.
I love how informative you are in these videos it really helps that you explain things in great detail cuz otherwise I would have too many questions and the video would just leave me more confused. But anyway this is a amazing video and I'll try to keep these concepts in my head.
Thank you for making these videos. I've been hitting a wall for a few months and I can't explain how frustrating it is to try so hard and be unable to understand why you aren't advancing. I practice nearly every day in solo, analysis and against live opponents but, it always seems like there are too many things to try to pay attention to but, when I go auto pilot (because, thinking is making my actual moves sluggish) if the person is even a little better than me I'm getting washed. While you're video didn't give me an answer, it did give me a better idea as to where to look now I'm only looking through half a deck of cards. I'm going to reevaluate how I think in match and see if I can't read 1,2,3,4,5,6 as 12, 34, 56 and see if that kind of concept helps
Phenomenal video as always. I have to say, the music adds this swelling of emotion. It kinda adds this extra weight to the speech. Can't wait to hear more of your future compositions.
You should keep making videos like this and releasing more frequent content. You're verbose and have an insight to concepts and philosophical views that other content creators simply don't.
Seriously. The information in these videos is information I've been looking for the last 8 months. You can get good theory from discords or by digging through old smashforum threads from
The craziest thing to me is that you don't just bring about a new way to look at the game, you bring about a new idea of a way to form a thought on how to look at the game. You so frequently bring such a creative idea to the table, that when I am trying to implement those concepts, it honestly feels like I'm improving my gameplay. Truly a 'Give a man a fish < Teach a man to fish' scenario. No other youtuber does that for me. Thanks, Verm :)
Thanks for the content Verm, watching these videos always give me a new way of thinking and widely helps my thinking process when playing outside and inside of the game. Also another thing, I enjoy the music you make and use in your videos, they are incredibly calming and mesh well with your voice so one doesnt sound overwhelmingly loud compared to the other. Thanks for everything man and keep up the excellent work
I absolutely love your SmashConceptions series! It's always jampacked with such useful information. In my opinion, you're the best SmashTuber for learning the game. My improvement over the last few months have been fueled by the fundamental concepts you teach. Thank you Verm! See ya in like a year lmao
This video, while not a better quality than all the others, is better than most of the others bc it details how to get better by figuring out what is important and what's not and how far to take each part
I'm really happy you came back and your videos are really informative and inspirationals, but at the end of the day you do what you love (and work for it) to do. Good luck on your music career and thank you. And about this channel, we're gladly wait when you have the time and motivacion to do an essay, you're always welcome here. Greetings from spain!
Evening sir. Sorry for the late reply. I wouldn't mind that at all! I'd of course only ask that you credit me if you decide to use it. Here's a link to most of it: vermanubis.bandcamp.com/
