Just found out about FPV drones last night - watching a video of Mr. Steele flying around and through an abandoned warehouse. I thought drones where all "smart," and could fly themselves. ie: BORING. These FPV drones don't look boring. I want one. It's great that there are decent sims to train my thumbs on. Liked and Subscribed.
I'm not exactly sure what you mean with "you can't change the physics in Liftoff". The simulator has a completely integrated Flight Controller system inspired by Betaflight. Check the "Edit Flight Controller Settings" option at the 3:32 mark of the video. :)
We were referring to the physics of the game itself, as opposed to the flight controller settings. Some simulators we've tried have options to adjust real-world physics settings (gravity, for example). Liftoff does give the option to edit the flight controller settings as you mentioned, which allows pilots to fine-tune the feel they are going for. Such a beautiful sim too!
Oh I see what you mean, thanks for clarifying :) Gravity is a constant and if you change the one certain assumption to be made about reality, every single system in the simulation would/could break. With Liftoff we are aiming for realism and as a result we want our physics to be exactly as real life. If a sim feels good because you changed gravity to an unrealistic value, there's something fundamentally wrong with the simulation as the gravity value is the one aspect you should rely on as being correct.
Looks like I’m going be be picking up a simulator now. That and a good controller. Then..... I’ll be looking for a racing quad to play with. Yes, I’m prepared to crash and repair.

Hey, you forgot about gta 5 with script hook v and quadcopter mod. It has betaglight rates and gta 5 graphics, you can even install redux with it

Good luck fly the Sim a lot. They are a pain in the ass to work on. So small after a 1/2 he. Working on them you can't see straight.
