It is one thing to appreciate Hua Hua for his amazing voice and the incredible control he has over it but this show really gives you a glimpse into his genius. All of that in 24 hours. He disagrees that he is a musical genius but I must disagree with him on that point. He may be a modest genius but a genius no doubt.
There is no denying that Hua Hua's talents in composition and rearrangement are unbelievable. Coupled with his incredible singing skills and outstanding stage performance are absolutely unparalleled. Thanks for reacting to this wonderful TV show especially Hua Hua's part.
How were you not dying of laughter from that lost keys song, dfhdjal;fgfhdjsal;AFJHJK it was ridiculous in the funniest way possible, I was cackling so hard throughout the whole song. Great Sage equal to Heaven is in my top 5 favourite Huahua performances! It's so good. I find it impossible not to sing along.
It was funny for sure but he did so well to make a normal sounding song out of it. And YES Hua never fails to please me and my ears, I loved everything about it!

I overslept, but the monkey is the Monkey KIng. That's what Journey to the West is about. It's a huge legend in China that you should definitely read up on. Karen Mok, I don't believe you've heard her sing yet (super singer) played Bai JingJing in one of the many Monkey King films. More about Karen and HuaHua at a later date. Both Aska Yang and Xiao Qiao knocked their songs out of the park. I wouldn't have wanted to pick between them. Part of what made this show so much fun is the fact that all of the other singers got so involved in every performance and really wanted the amateurs to do well. What HuaHua created out of nothing in 24 hours was simply mind-boggling. Within the constraints of what was already written musically he made a song that had layers and was interesting. His opponent was funny: Even my Mom fell for you. Sadly his performance was somewhat lacking until the end. Excellent episode. Truth is they all are. I'm so sorry this show went off the air. First time watching it with a companion, and it was tremendous fun. Thanks

I missed your live reaction. 😥. Didn’t somehow catch when you were going to do this. But still enjoyed every bit of the vid. You catch on quick to the scenarios and plots. Yes it is nice of you to continue to see the competitors as there are some great ones. I really like Hua’s rap a lot better because it’s got rhythm, melody, and emotions. Tbh it was all a bit up in the air as it only just managed to go ahead. You should have had 15 hours notice but it literally happened 45mins after when I had originally planned. Was a long slog getting it uploaded to even be able to notify everyone

I’d set an alarm to do that again with other videos/livestreams. Before I go into info, trivia, and links, I’d just like to make it very clear that I, for one, am dead grateful for the efforts you put into your videos. TH-cam doesn’t make it easy for reactors, and on top of that, lots of reactors don’t know the best ways to make the viewing experience good for their audience. Your technical ability…the masks you make showing us as much as possible, the care you take in making sure we can see subtitles, the other alchemy you perform to avoid blocking, etc is so far above and beyond other channels. Then what you bring personally to your videos…your opinions, your emotions and willingness to show vulnerability, your humor, the way you respond and bond with the people following you, etc. makes your channel even more outstanding. So thank you kindly 😁💗 So this performance was incredible and Hua Hua being a judge/mentor on The Next really brought the show, which was already an awesome idea, up to another level. The other judges were all very good, but no one else took the risks he did, made the wildly creative leaps he did, and certainly no one one else wrote entire songs in the 24-hour period like he did here (and several other times during this series.) It was because of him creating “Great Sage Equal to Heaven” on The Next that he got contacted by the people making the 2017 Wu Kong movie asking him to compose and sing the theme song. ( there have been several Wu Kong movies) “Qi Tian” ie: “Equal to Heaven” is the song he wrote for that. So same story, but two entirely different songs. After watching rough cut footage from the film, Hua Hua felt that in the movie, Sun Wu Kong was portrayed as a much more tragic character than in the 1990s tv show “The Journey to the West.”. That is why “Qi Tian” has the sad, lonely sounding verses of him in exile, and the ferocious rapping that shows his rage when he attacks and lays waste to Heaven. “Great Sage…” tells the same story, but has a very different feel to it since he built it from the theme music of the ‘90s show. In the second season of The Next, in one ep during the part where contestants choose who to challenge, he sings “Qi Tian” which is really cool. 😁 Season 1 he does the challenge song, gets the movie theme job because of it, then returns to The Next in season 2 and sings the song he created for the job he got because of the S1 challenge song😁🤘Awesome.💗 Fun fact: In Season 4, ep 2 of Ace vs Ace, which was only the second ep of Ace Hua Hua had done, he performs a “Qi Tian/ Great Sage”mash up. When the music for “Great Sage Equal to Heaven” starts up, the actor who had played Wu Kong, the monkey king, in “The Journey to the West” comes out with martial arts-type dancers and does the rest of the song with HH. Hua Hua is chuffed to be on stage with him, and after the song ends, is shy but very happy.
