Thank you for your Reaction. I always like to give kudos to the female backing singer at the end, who feels like her voice is giving a hug to her child. Great production on "Singer" series, with great musicians, backing singers, sympathetic lighting and sound engineers.

You are so informative and take notice of so much of the technical aspects of the performance many others miss.
I am always awed at how Hua Chenyu conveys emotion and tells stories in his music.
I'd suggest Seven personalities, as others have, but also "here we are" "Madhouse" "Airplane mode" Live concert 2021 or "Back White Artist" Live concert 2021 Each of these are very different (last 2 songs from his most recent album) and show different aspects of his performance.

Many suggest 7 personalities from the New Year's Eve gala but I would suggest its first performance in Mars Concert 2019 because it is with LIVE BAND. This video is available from Hua Chenyu English Subs under 2019 Mars Concert.

Very interesting and great analysis of his performance. So glad you detailed the techniques Hua uses. He really likes to use his vocals to transmit the moods of the songs. He does use a lot of techniques that sometimes get overlooked as he makes it look so easy. This is why I really respect him as a singer, let alone his performance and composing styles. I really like his last two new songs he made, but I really don't like to suggest new ones as he gets better and better and would rather see reactors see the progression of this great artist. I think maybe someone gave a list of all his performances on Singer 2018. If nothings else, go to Hua Chenyu English Sub which will list all his performances on all the shows. You can't go wrong with any one you choose.

Hua Chenyu è tra i miei artisti preferiti (amo in particolare i suoi primi tre album), tra i primi che mi hanno portato ad interessarmi e appassionarmi alla musica pop/rock asiatica. Voce ammaliante, allo stesso tempo dolce e potente, con la quale può spaziare tra diversi generi musicali; cantante, musicista e compositore poliedrico e talentuoso, dalla grande presenza scenica e teatrale e dalla personalità unica. Tra le tante splendide canzoni, sempre intense ed emozionanti, ti consiglio “Seven Personalities”, “Equal to Heaven”, “Dad I’m Home” e anche la disturbante e sperimentale “Cancer”. Spero continuerai a reagire ad altre sue interpretazioni e ad approfondire il discorso sulla musica asiatica.

Some other Singer 2018 performers worth checking out : 1. Filipina singer KZ Tandingan, who's unique cover of Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" won Episode 5. 2. Tengri's performance of "Heaven". He has unusual dynamic control, and there are a couple of shots of Hua Chenyu's amazed face in the backstage shots. The song starts out with some Mongolian throat and polyphonic overtone singing. If you Google the song under the name "Tengger", there is a version with Eng. subs there. 3. Another Singer 2018 performance, where you see both Tengri and Hua Chenyu watching backstage, is Dimash's guest performance of Lionel Richie's "Hello". After meeting Dimash on that occasion, Tengri later got together with him and performed the song "Swan Goose".

If you're interested in the original of the song you may search for 西樓 孩子 here on youtube, but it sounds quite differently. Please react to more songs from Hua Chenyu, he's really versatile, however, he doesn't just show off his vocal techniques, but uses them always to convey better the meaning behind the song. You may check some of his original compositions, like Seven Personalities - another very interesting song from vocal techniques perspective, and my favourite one :)

could you react to Hua ( world's saddest song ) "Dad I am home" it was originally a rap song by Jay Chou , but he convert it
I feel he is very focused on technique and quality, extremely deliberate in his choices of tone and timbre, but makes it effortlessly, all the while bringing expression to his face and body to deliver these performances. He is a top class performer as you have seen. No one gives me goosebumps like he does!! I, too, would suggest 7 personalities next, Mars 2019. Saw it in person, and it was like an out of body experience for me!!
I remember thinking that this song was really about the younger generation (or child) seeking independence (tying their shoes, and struggling to be free), and their parents being left behind (the withering leaves on the branches), but maybe also the child returning at the end of the parent's lives - but every translation I see is slightly different.

Lei è la più straordinaria, folle, versatile, genuina e sorprendente cantante per me apparsa in the Singer. Lei arrangia, stravolge e, con la sua energia esalta il pubblico in performance indimenticabili. È filippina tanto per cambiare, minuscola bellissima e umile ,eclettica creatura! Obbligatorio guardare prima la sua cover di Rolling in the deep, talmente stravolta da aprire la bocca,poi Say something dove mostra un' altra sua caratteristica, una sensibilità commovente, intera e perfetta. I should also mention, he often connects his different works through themes and melody...this one corresponds to his second single from his debut album (Quasimodo's Gift) release "Ashes from Fireworks" which is a GORGEOUS song. The composer of Ashes happens to be the arranger of this cover song, he works with HCY on these themes at his direction. It's one of the most endearing things about HCY to me, is the connected themes between his songs and how they relate to his life experience.

Hola Jack , Huahua canta en chino y eventualmente en ingles ,te saludo desde Argentina Buenos Aires 🇦🇷 Huahua es un Artista completo como pocos de inmensa sensibilidad y te cuento que para aprender Chino tenemos que colocar la lengua incluso cerrar casi los dientes para pronunciar palabras ,tambien las acentuaciones son dificiles son 4 ,es bastante dificil pero no imposible aprender Chino , idioma bellicimo como casi todos los que existen . Es mi umilde comentario para tí. 😘💋
