@marwaelharake7625 The one and ONLY Mouhammara, that all foodies would recognize the minute you say the name, is a Walnut dish .... No walnut in this video.. and the ready made bread/dough you are using is Indian Naan. I make manakeesh with all kinds of different toppings .... whatever I have on hand and if not making the dough from scratch I used Pita bread, the closest to Manakeesh. Thanks.
Thank you Souad and Marwa for your comments. @Souad, there are two types of Muhammara dishes in the Syrian cuisine. There is the one you are mentioning which is a dip or spread used especially with meat BBQ aka mashawi which I have made previously (link: th-cam.com/video/zH5I1lchDZA/w-d-xo.html) and there is these pies/fatayer/manakeesh version. I use Indian Naan because it is a very nice shortcut to dough. It will yield a very similar texture to Manakeesh in no time! I highly recommend that you try this recipe, it will turn around your mind about naan or flatbread being dough replacement to cut on time. And the Muhammara sauce used is out of this world. Please do not judge before trying. I would also highly recommend the Stonefire Minis Naan which you can find at Costco (if you were in States). Alef Sahten. And please keep me posted if you have any questions or on how you find it if you try it 😃
This is absolutely delicious !!
Sahtein😊 bon appetit 😃
Interesting ! That's neither Mouhammara and nor Manakeesh ! Whatever !
