Glad you uploaded despite having unenjoyable games. Good to know it’s not just us normal players that face steamrolls.
It’s definitely a problem in the game, where you face 5-15 minutes of playing, knowing the whole time, that no matter what impact you bring it’s already over; win or lose. At best it’s boring, at the worst it saps away any desire to play.
If Hindenburg had a radar it would be the most OP cruiser in the game !!!! Hindenburg is hands down one of the best cruisers in this game. Great content as always PQ !! Keep up the good work !!! Please make a video regarding British DD "Daring" next
Oh. That's a perfect idea for a ship that Wargaming could sell... says someone from their Marketing and Sales team. lol
Better ships have radar. Case in point, Petropavlovsk. High caliber guns with very high pen and improved pen angles, 12 km Russian radar, better armour scheme than some battleships. The only things Hindy has that Petro doesn't are 6 km torps and higher HE pen. IMO even if you gave Hindy a 10 km radar as an alternative to a spotter plane, she would still be reasonably balanced in the current meta by virtue of CVs and the fact there are so many 430-457mm gun battleships in the game now that completely ignore your attempts to angle.
Imagine how useful a Hydro would have been in those games?

I just got Hiddenburg unlocked like 2 days ago. my first tier 10 in the game. i really really enjoy playing that ship, if it had a smoke and/or radar it would be my only ship played

Hindi is my favorite cruiser, I do run the range mod and legendary upgrade to have better rudder shift, concealment sucks at 14km but I start shooting at 24km so basically will be spotted the entire time anyway. Really love the ship. Nice video, love to watch your stuff and listen to your tactics, keep it up!
that splash dmg destroyed your torp tubes didnt think it could do that in the water
that was an eye-opener for me. I didnt realize the hinden AP is that good. Like ofcause i used AP on broadsides, especially cruisers. But probably 90% of the time i shoot HE and try to farm ppl down. I´ll need to try to make more use of that AP.

One of the most beginner friendly cruiser. Even though the HE alpha is lacking, but the pen and good balistic arc is very forgiving

AP and HE damage have the same healing potential. It’s only fires and citadels that are different. HE and AP pens can both be healed for 50%, so if you’re not getting citadels AP and HE damage is exactly the same
But a lot of damage from he is fires

I am more used to watching vids of stellar, amazing games and then logging in to end up with matches you just had. Thank you for presenting these matches and allowing me to keep my expectations low ... where they belong.

I am currently grinding to Des Moines but Hindy is the next one on my list. Looks like a ton of fun
Hindy was my first T10. I love the power of the AP guns on it. Probably taught me to be far too aggressive because I love the big numbers. As far as lopsided battles...the past few days I've been dying for a win. I'm frequently #1 or #2 on the losing side, but it's been total steamrolls.
I can respect that enemy range mod + spotter + AP Wooster.
Hindys should be auto started on the weak "kiting" flank. Theyre so good at angling away and spamming HE. Its much better than those ships who either charge in and die or just not go to their flank, both resulting in easy flanks for the enemy.
Actually, it looked like the Chappy must have been working over people pretty good to the end. I notice you are usually 1st in xp in most of these and you had a pretty good game.

At current meta, I tend to use range mod on my Des Mones, and I would on Worchester too.
I had like 125k avg dmg with 56% wr and i think I'm doing pretty good with her, play in both styles: the standard one and the anti-concealment, but the standard works best with me, sometimes still using anti-conceal build but feel like it's not effective as before bc of so many reason like new ships, meta changing,...
It's unfortunate that you didn't bring hydro. You would see Montana closing up or push down Druid.
On other nation's ship, it's some what reasonable to give up hydro for DFAA, but German one are just too good to give up.
Watching that ARP Yamato just sit there and eat torpedoes. . . I would have thought that all the derpazoids that bought their way into Tier X with that ship would have either figured out how to play the game or just given up. But no such luck.
What do you think of using some kind of iteration of lighthouse spec with it? Not like the 22km + detect like BFK goes on Henri, but trying to make it around the same range your mainbattery range is?
While im not Potato Quality, I do have the 17km lighthouse Lutjens on Hindy, its more risky to play due to shorter gun range and being less mobile than Henri, but its guns I find to be more rewarding and contributing to the team effort more.

@@Strothy2 Desmo is a always island hugging one trick Pony which heavily struggles with targets at range. Hindi is good at all ranges.
@@DerultimateKeks nope, Hinden has better base range, 3 extra guns, a spotter plane , 1/4 HE pen compared to Des 1/6 HE pen, an extra heal that heals slightly more than Des, and faster less floaty shell archs means you can use Hinden much more effectively at longer ranges.
Mainz has a high dmg if played right but u make a mistake u pay for it
I really wish I grinded this line when I first played instead of the Zao. Time has been kind to this ship, but not so much for the former.

Gonna finish Petro grind soon, if I want kiting, long range farming should I grind Hindy or Conqueror?
Thanks for uploading this, Hindenburg was the ship I really wanted before I stopped playing. I only made it as far as Roon and the game was just no longer fun for me. Unfortunately the amount of time and money WG pressures players to invest just ruined it for me. I still love the ships for their own sake and I really want to enjoy the game but if WG isn't interested in improving the player experience I can't justify any time, much less money on the game. Anyway, great vid, thanx.
I have great 150+ high damage games in this ship but a horrid 24% win rate. Don't know what I'm doing wrong but she's so fun to play.
The biggest weakness of Hindenburg is the Venezia. 4 to 5 full SAP salvos and you are gone.
play a bit more passive probably you wanna live long enough to use all heals if possible
shoot DDs more instead of farming the BBs. Simple

Hey PQ, does this build and play style work on Hipper and Roon? Or is it only specifically for Hindy
This build will work on the hipper, but not the roon, Yorck ,Koeinsburgr Nurnsberg as they are kiting cruisers. Hindy, hipper, pronz eugen and mainz are ab xy cruisers. I have them all. Ymmv
Still my favourite ship in the game. The first of only two (the other being Yamato) i broke 300k with.
Its good or decent in almost every situation and a terrifying late game brawler. Im not forced to park behind an island or do other moves over and over again like with all the one trick ponys. Ill never forget when i just yolo charged into 4 island hugging USN ships and rekt them all.
The only things i dont like about her is that WG decided to make it another HE spammer in many situations instead of giving this lines AP improved angles and better pen. But yeah, that was reserved for the glorious soviet line...
Also the other being the exaggerated flood of >430mm BBs. And her concealment is too much, something like 11,5km would fit better.
I recommend going for reload mod and spotter aircraft build on her.
I really want eyes in the sky for BB.

Hindenburg suppose to be a ship to counter german BB and russian CA as it has 50mm pen in HE and that's enough

Its a mod that you have to download and install from a third party... do a search on "World of Warships mods" and you should find several options. There are many to choose from. He has a video somewhere where he talks about the mods and how to obtain them. Check out his TH-cam home page... maybe you can find the video there

Funny how your "frustrating" games look a lot like my "great" games! LOL
Well played matches but forgive me for being critical at one major point. When you closed with the Iowa and parked along the island just before killing it you really needed to keep those guns going. He should of been dead a half minute earlier. You had a nearly perfectly broadside Iowa and a perfect cheek shot at point blank. You commented you would of killed him if you had your front turret but beforehand you did have your guns... for 25 seconds... wasted looking around. Which would of been 3 salvos that pretty much would of guaranteed the Iowa would of died before crippling your health and turret baring RNG screwing you. Situational awareness is important but staying on target/task is to, especially at point blank when you had the upperhand heavily. That 25 seconds of looking all over and not bothering to keep shooting between looking is what doomed you quicker. If you had you may of then had the health to tank the Montana's salvo that killed you or better yet having that 25 seconds to maybe tuck back in or leap forward and launch torps for a fleshwound. But still pretty well played and good matches. We all mess up at times especially in the heat of the moment. I know I certainly have lol.

while you can farm damage, its not a very effective ship
