      Telling a serial winner to get better? It's time the players and other aspects of the club take a honest look at themselves. Not the manager always.
      For Mourinho and Conte to be pointing at the same point, then you've got to take a good look at it.
      I remember how Dele Ali was a big player at Spurs, Mourinho showed us a true colour of Ali, a number of fans disliked him for it. But see what has become of him outside Spurs.
      True is that except for Harry Kane and a few, many of those Spurs players will not survive in other top European teams.

      @@user.--. who hires the players? The culture within the club is created by those who run the club. I don't know how some spurs fans get convinced every season that something is gonna change. Us opposition fans and many realistic spurs fans see that the owners, levy, enic etc their aim is commercial revenue. They do not care about winning trophies. And that's because they know they can still make significant money from their glamorous new stadium and all the sponsors and deals with NFL and Beyonce etc. That attitude of 'oh it doesn't really matter if we fail to win trophies' has clearly passed on to the players. And you can't blame them for that. They're getting payed wages that a trophy winner will be payed but they're doing that without having to win trophies. It's a dream. Blaming the players is good but only if it means the players change for good(which is highly unlikely) or the players get sold and replaced adequately. And for latter to occur it comes down to those above the manager

    Fantastic manager. If you have not seen what he did at Juve in those three years you missed out on a masterclass in management. He reinvigorated the team mentally spiritually and physically and turned the entire team and club around and most importantly he got the fans back on board. When you buy into his philosophy you not only beat the team on the pitch you have already beaten the team mentally and when you both walk into the tunnel. He made tier 2 and tier 3 level players fearsome. Even when he was the caged lion in season two he transmitted fire and tenacity from the private boxes. He made all the players take responsibility for themselves and for the team and then they fought tooth and nail for each other, the team, and for the result. Players were giving everything, he would say that you leave everything on the pitch and you don't take one ounce of energy or stamina back home with you. You have to bleed for the team.
    To be quite honest when he was at Juve I watched all his interviews and quite literally I was fired up for my own life and I was more motivated than ever.
    If you let yourself receive the message from him. He reminds me of Ferguson, except that Ferguson was more wily and tactically gifted. Ferguson demanded the same things of his players that Conte does.
    What a manager. What a man!
    🏆🏆🏆

    • @LucaGRizzi
      @LucaGRizzi ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Agreed. He got the best out of mid-range players. When he was at Juve we saw players like Giovinco, Giaccherini, Padoin perform as if they were Ronaldinho, just to disappear as soon as he left. It's crazy that he didn't win anything with people like Kane and Son in the squad

    Last season Napoli were terrible even with all the talents finished 10th.. They had their manager changed 3 times in one season, all of their star players wanted an exit immediately, even their most faithful captain Di lorenzo desperately wanted to leave for their bitter rivals Juventus.
    And then came Conte, managed to convince Kvaradona, Lobotka, Di lorenzo and some of the other star players to stay. Everyone laughed at the thought of conte turning things around at Napoli. And now 10 games into the season, Napoli is serie a leaders with 8 wins and they are just getting even better with every game.
