It's the water girl. When i lived in Germany my hair fell out so much and it was so stiff und fuzzy. My skin was irritated and it was itchy. I even changed my hair care products but nothing helped. In Germany the water is very harsh and has a lot of calc. But when i moved to Asia my hair was reborn. I did not even change the products that i used to use but my hair stopped falling out and it was so soft and shiny, silky. I was shocked. So maybe thats why Asians have thicker, longer and healthier hair i thought to myself. Just saying that water makes a very big difference.

You have such a good routine worked out already. It took me so many years to learn all the stuff that you do now. I'm curly and I use silicones and heat sometimes. Being flexible and trying new products and techniques is very helpful. Always learning.
A good tip is to use a no poo mask or conditioner to break down the oil after a treatment... I used to use so much shampoo to try to get the oil out of my hair that the treatment wouldn't even make a difference because the shampoo would strip out the hair. Then I discovered that the ingredients in masks/conditioner are so much more suitable to dissolve the oil and make it so much easier to wash off. You can apply a generous layer of mask/conditioner to your hair before washing it and leave it for 15-20 minutes, and then use shampoo and etc. Or you can actually do a co wash before the shampoo. It helps so much! Love your videos ❤️
i would recommend deep conditioning first and then conditioning so the feel conditioner gets absorbed into hair that has no product on it that might prevent it from penetrating, and then the regular conditioner can seal in the protein/oils/ whatever ingredients or benefits your deep conditioner has.
I use hair masks bef I wash my hair and only wash the roots....and it has changed my hair game 100%....I as well as every1 else have tried so many products with barely any results🙄....the Briogeo don't despair repair is the biggest disappointment EVER...too expensive too😒
You're just so beautiful Isabella 😭❤ I keep rewatching your vids idk what it is but they just help me unwind and I enjoy every single minute of them. Please keep entertaining us, we love you girl.
I have hair very similar to yours, but I don't have the time to do all the haircare so usually I just tie it into a bun after I've washed it and for the next two days my hair looks good.
Natural products isn't always better. I've recently started to incorporate silicones and quats in my haircare routine again. I don't want silicones in my shampoo tho. But in the conditioner and leave in conditioner it's fine.
When doing oil treatmens, wash off the oil with a emolient conditioner and then use shampoo on your scalp :) You can even leave the conditioner for 15 min and then wash your hair normally!
I can relate to your hair struggles 100% (I even have the same "golden blond" color). A while back ago it was so bad, that I even got emotional and cried, because NOTHING WORKED!! (and still doesn't by the way..) I used to color and style my hair and I thought that was the reason behind the frizz, then completely stoped everything that could do harm and grew out all natural hair (took good care of course) and turned out that they are just frizzy. They are not damaged, just difficult. Very, very difficult... I really like TIGI Bed Head rehab for hair (red one) shampoo & conditioner, if you are open to try even more hair products, then I recomend it ;)
The leaving hair soaking before conditioner is the most valuable lesson I learned from you (not from the cg even to i knew that before) my hair will always thank you
I just used silicone conditioner for the first time in a while and it worked amazingly with my argan oil! I'm so happy usually my hair is shiny at the roots but the rest is dry and frizzy looking if I don't use a ton of gel after showering (I have sort of wavy hair). The silicone with argan oil kept my hair from being frizzy and made it shiny and flat instead!
My hair gets a lot of build up on it so I shampoo the ends often because I find my hair feels healthier after. I also recommend using the Garnier Fructose 1 minute hair mask (the papaya one) because it made my hair INCREDIBLY soft, and I have naturally dry hair.
I've watched most of your videos but I'm not sure if I recall if you had mentioned anything about birth control. I know you did get blood tests in a video (and honestly, standardized blood tests don't make any sense to me because "normal levels" aren't even normal for most people. My iron comes back normal, but taking 70 mg of iron has helped my lethargy). Point is that hormones specifically affect the hair more than we give it credit for, not even considering external methods.
I like that youve found a routine that works for you, im blessed with the curse of super thick (also quite greasy) hair and im currently on my own journey to waist length, and going an all natural route which ive never seriously considered before but it's finally time for ayurvedic hair care haha
Isabella, could you please make a video where you try the revlon one step hair dryer? I promise you IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE! It’s so much easier and it has even a better effect than a normal blowdryer
My hair texture is 2B I’m pretty sure so it’s similar but slightly wavier than yours, and I’ve also been avoiding heat because that’s what lead to me getting at least 6 inches cut off. One heartless style I like wearing to bed is a faux fishtail because it’s quick, and will keep my hair tamed with it slightly curled once I take out the ponytail. I’m happy to see that in your videos you show that certain hair methods can work differently for everyone.
I have been wearing my hair in it's natural waves for about 2 months. I also was my hair every 3/4 days. I also oil my hair before washing! You have what I call wavy hair mine is wavy/ curly and its mostly 2 c with about of others thrown in. I enjoy your videos.
Hahaha I hope actually Mr. Kiu (a.k.a. Lee Sung-Kyu) from the Korea (who also the founder for his hair care product ANAZE) will open up another series about commenting other people's hair videos as well! He looks like really nice and soft with sweetest heart guy
I was gonna comment this on your hair story video but I figured you probably wouldn't see it since it's not that recent... did you ever consider that your hairs frizzyness may be down to porosity? Hair with higher porosity means that the cuticles are more open which makes it really easy for them to absorb hydration... but means that hydration leaves your hair really quickly too. On the other hand low porosity makes the cuticles lie flat so it's hard for hydration to penetrate buuuut once it does its locked in. Depending on your routine it can be hard to figure your porosity out but there are diy tests you can do to check.
I had really bad hair last year so I applied coconut oil for every day for one month and did inversation method and my hair is so soft , silky ,shiney hair and long
Hey , i used to struggle a lot with my loose to normal curly hair , i had similar struggles, my hair has gotten rlly good now , what i did was get regular hair cuts , deep condition once week , added protein cuz my previous products did not have any , and now i style with a leave in , styling cream, , mousse or gel ( i like a stronger hold cuz i live in a humid area) and seal the cuticle when its dry with a serum , disclaimer my hair is rlly thick and dry so need a lot of products and if a styling cream is very hydrating i’ll skip the leave in
I really hope you have time to read this but please try the revlon blowdrying brush with the olapex n.6 cream on the mid lengths and ends! it works miracles on my frizzy Hagrid looking hair! Hope this helps 😊
we have pretty similar hair and i’ve been binging your videos and it’s so interesting! you put so much effort and it’s sad to hear all the hateful comments telling you to just let your hair be. hair is part of a lot of peoples identity and for some people, if you ignore it, it’s fine but for some it turns into a complete mess. let her do whatever she wants with her hair
if you want advice I'd look into how to properly dry and take care of your hair AFTER showering. I've noticed some bad habits you do that damage your hair. for example when you shampoo, only apply it to your sculp and massage it not the ends of your hair.
I don't use conditioner anymore...I use hair mask for 30 min before washing (try Hydration Elation it is the best nourishing mask ever) wash my hair with Aveenoo shampoo because it is ph regulated and also contains oats milk nu sulphates and I only use after wash the L'Oréal Lamellar water....and my hair looks so much better....the added silicone at the rinsing process means it's protected after wards....and I tried some leave in sprays but I pers didn't find any that don't weigh down the hair....what I do recommend is the Hydration elation mask and aveeno shampoos ...these are sulphates free and very gentle too...all the 3 products mentioned can be found in Boots actually
I succeeded in air drying my hair by braiding it when it's wet. What I do is drying my roots and bangs with the less hot air possible, then I braid just the length and when it is nearly totally dry I let it down and that's it... once entirely dry my hair isn't frizzy
There's a permanent dye called Elumen (they also make a clear gloss which doesn't add colour) which is acidic and doesn't damage the hair, it repairs it and eliminates frizz. Maybe it's something you could try out?
Yayy🌺😋my hair is similar to yours and got really dry and frizzy the last weeks but I have to say I didn't really do any haircare the last weeks.. So it's no surprise.. And it's nice to watch this now And thank your for just starting the video instantly with the informations!!
I too struggle with frizz ( tropical environment, bleached blonde) three things have stopped the frizz - keratin treatment twice a year, really cutting down on the bleach and going to softer darker baby lights and It’s A 10. That stuff is witchcraft. I keep waiting for the downside and my hair to fall out but so far no problems and it keeps my hair soft straight and clean. I don’t even have to wash as often. Mucho recommend.
If you ever want to use heat (including using a hairdryer) you should use a heat protector on your hair. It helps hold your hairstyle even if you just blow-dry it.
Omg I use Elvive Dream Lengths! I have the shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, 8 second wonder water, no cut cream, frizz serum, and heat protectant (I also have the oil from their Extraordinary Oil line). When you were using the leave in, I said to my husband “omg I can smell her hair through the screen!” Because I literally just showered lol
@@Diana-nz5fw I’ve said this on another video but I’ll repeat it. My hair hates “natural” shampoos. I tried them for months and nothing helped. It tangles, it gets frizzy, it lacks shine. My hair loves silicones (and sulfates, in order to remove the silicones). It lays straight, it’s shiny, it’s soft, and I don’t have to heat style it. So yes, I do love them.
My daughter & I have super similar hair texture to yours naturally, I bleach my roots once or twice a year. My daughter is 4. I don't want this to be some generic comment but I wanted to tell you what works for us, our hair is wavy so it's a mix of both straight & curly, we don't have thick hair, it's fine and it can be alot of fine hair and look full at times lol. We use fenugreek seed leave in that I make for us, it really helps with the texture & frizz, it's cheap & natural, easy to make, I use this 2-3x a week. I make a leave in conditioner using our regular conditioner mixed with water in spray bottle for other days, spray hair with it in the morning before leaving and scrunch a little. I do blow dry my bangs if I cannot get them right. Oh uhm I use serums on our hair that have really helped they are Fantasia IC hair polisher mist & daily hair treatment this really helps with frizz and softness. I wash once a week, I trained my hair to go that long after washing & conditioning well I put both Fantasia products on and this is crazy but I found this loreal heat protective primer, I put this just on the ends and it really helps with overall feel & look, I don't use heat after the primer, I'm not sure why it helps the ends of my hair.. Honestly girl our hair is EXACTLY like yours. I hope these could help you too. I've been on a hair journey since 2012 😅❤❤
If you don't have time to style after washing your hair, you should try learning to do Dutch braids. They look impressive with minimal effort, won't stress your hair and keep it in place without having to think about it 👀
You seem like you've finally accepted your hair and don't feel the need to make it look like models hair anymore. You seem content and I'm happy for you, your hair is really beautiful and definitely better than was before, you did your best and it paid, great job sweetie 💜
She will honestly never have her dream hair. I finally settled with one routine after trying only two and it has worked. Sure I spend $26 on shampoo and $26 on conditioner but that’s what works for me. I don’t have a billion products lol. It depends on her natural hair type and what her hair has liked in the past.
U know, i was just like u with hair. Always wanted to have long healthy thick hair, did everything u are doing now, then one day i realized i never wanted long hair, my wish was just to feel beautiful even if i have no hair, coz at the and of the day, YOU ARE NOT YOUR HAIR! So in my head i knew what i have to do, i shaved my head. Last year for the first time, and this year for the second time. Now im finnaly ready to leave my hair grow, because i know i would love myself even if i dont have any hair. I loved it buzzed. You become a different person when u shave your head. I really hope that someday u realize that this prodocuts are not really needed for your hair to be beautiful. Just leave it as it is and stop overthinking about it. Xx
Also if you like to make your own masks, and are looking for moisture, honey is a humectant so add that to the oil you prefer and the honey will give it a little ‘umph’! “Honey has both emollient and humectant properties, making it a great hair moisturizer. Emollients smooth the hair follicles, adding shine to dull hair. Humectants bond with water molecules, adding moisture to dry strands. By moisturizing and locking in shine, honey can help restore the natural luster of your hair.”
What works for you works for you. That’s all that matters. Personally, I’m a pretty low maintenance gal (im just lazy tbh) and the only products I maybe sometimes use once in a blue moon are silicone and yada yada free hairsprays and mouse for when I curl or straighten my hair. I have naturally thick curly hair so I regularly get it cut and thinned out and after every wash I just do a blow out and keep like that for a good 3-6 days :)
ill let you know one thing, i come from finland where the air is extremely dry. my hair never had frizzyness issues and it would never tangle either. I moved to the UK and my hair completely changed, it gets tangly all the time, even within a few hours and frizzy. I think its the combination of water change and the atmosphere, since the air is much more humid. It's just a thought, i know you wouldn't change countries, but your hair could have completely different story in another atmosphere, lke i did. xD
Have you tried olive oil and egg mask? Just mix them up and apply to hair and let it sit till hard and than wash, biola very soft and no artificial ingredients :) i like your channel very much u go girl!
Hi Isabella, hair stylist here (I feel cringe saying that ew) - Kera-tas? The way you pronounced this made me giggle, it's actually said like "kera-stoss" haha. I would highly recommend the Kerastase Resistance or Genesis lines for your hair, their color line (the one you have) isn't the best (as far as color shampoo/conditioners go). If you wanna splurge on a really good hair mask, definitely also check out the Kerastase Nutritive conditioning mask for when your hair's feeling especially dry. I also would highly recommend R+Co's new luxury line called "Bleu" to you!! It smells amazing and I LOVE using it on clients. But definitely give Kerastase another try, it's up there with the best of the best!! Also, just to add - I don't believe there's any truth to what you said about leaving your hair dripping wet when you apply your conditioner. All you're really doing is diluting the conditioner, therefor wasting product. I think maybe where you get this from is for when you're applying curly hair products AFTER your hair wash - that you do want your hair to still be dripping for. But for your conditioner, I don't think leaving your hair soaking is doing anything beneficial!
Yes! I've actually heard from my stylist that it's better to squeeze some water out of your hair before applying the conditioner so you don't waste product, whenever I bother to do that my hair feels more moisturized
And recently I saw ANAZE brand by the Korean hairstylist, Lee Sung-Kyu, who is more be known as Mr. Kiu on TH-cam. Enjoy his failed hair to rescue series. I used to watch your channel all the time YEARS ago! I was trying to find your channel again for some time and finally found you again! ❤️
You're just so beautiful Isabella 😭❤ I keep rewatching your vids idk what it is but they just help me unwind and I enjoy every single minute of them. Please keep entertaining us, we love you girl.
A thank you what a lovely comment x I’m so glad you enjoy the videos xx
Your hair looks so healthy 😩
th-cam.com/video/4UlFLgG-O2A/w-d-xo.html
Could you do a whole wash cycle routine and film it? So day 1, day 2, day 3 etc? And maybe for each way you style it!??
I've watched most of your videos but I'm not sure if I recall if you had mentioned anything about birth control. I know you did get blood tests in a video (and honestly, standardized blood tests don't make any sense to me because "normal levels" aren't even normal for most people. My iron comes back normal, but taking 70 mg of iron has helped my lethargy). Point is that hormones specifically affect the hair more than we give it credit for, not even considering external methods.
This is literally my favorite video Isabella has ever made
I like that youve found a routine that works for you, im blessed with the curse of super thick (also quite greasy) hair and im currently on my own journey to waist length, and going an all natural route which ive never seriously considered before but it's finally time for ayurvedic hair care haha
Coconut oil can dry out certain hair types, it's not a universal oil that everyone can use to moisturize hair, it's definitely not highly recommend.
Where did you hear that?
Research?
Have also read that. Coconut and olive oil make my hair feel and look like crap. I use avocado oil and love it
Dampen hair first and then apply. Works much better.
Yes I already made a video explaining this, but I still use it occasionally as a treatment.
YESSS no one EVER talks about "fun times" and hair
Isabella, could you please make a video where you try the revlon one step hair dryer? I promise you IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE! It’s so much easier and it has even a better effect than a normal blowdryer
I think my babyliss big hair wand is basically the same thing
VIdeo idea : hair fall count when brushing or washing your hair.
Can we get Brad Mondo to react to this and rate your routines ✨✨
Haha oh my god can you imagine !
ugh no
Ugh no Brad Mondo doesn't even know that much about other hair types and their needs, routines. We don't need him here😩
Hahaha
I hope actually Mr.
I had really bad hair last year so I applied coconut oil for every day for one month and did inversation method and my hair is so soft , silky ,shiney hair and long
Your hair looks amazing ! Glad you are finally finding a good routine for your hair type
Your hair is looking so beautiful and thick!! And you seem so happy and confident with all your hair knowledge. Loveee your videos girl x
your hair looks so good queen
AGHHHW I LOVE YOUR HAIR VIDEOS SO MUCH.
THANK YOU FOR WATCHING THEM !
Me and you have the same hair problems and honestly your page has helped so much !!!
we have pretty similar hair and i’ve been binging your videos and it’s so interesting! you put so much effort and it’s sad to hear all the hateful comments telling you to just let your hair be. hair is part of a lot of peoples identity and for some people, if you ignore it, it’s fine but for some it turns into a complete mess. let her do whatever she wants with her hair
if you want advice I'd look into how to properly dry and take care of your hair AFTER showering. I've noticed some bad habits you do that damage your hair. for example when you shampoo, only apply it to your sculp and massage it not the ends of your hair.
All I see is your beauty.
Girl, you are one of a kind .
Too beautiful in my eye💗💗
My air dried hair looks EXACTLY like yours! I also do find that whenever I blowdry my hair straight, it stays like that until the next wash😄
I succeeded in air drying my hair by braiding it when it's wet. What I do is drying my roots and bangs with the less hot air possible, then I braid just the length and when it is nearly totally dry I let it down and that's it... once entirely dry my hair isn't frizzy
Mix olive oil 3/4 and castor oil 1/4 it thickens hair and is very good for dry hair trust me
I always geht so excited when i See that you Posted a Video! love them xx
You’re awesome x
There's a permanent dye called Elumen (they also make a clear gloss which doesn't add colour) which is acidic and doesn't damage the hair, it repairs it and eliminates frizz. Maybe it's something you could try out?
Yayy🌺😋my hair is similar to yours and got really dry and frizzy the last weeks but I have to say I didn't really do any haircare the last weeks.. So it's no surprise.. And it's nice to watch this now
And thank your for just starting the video instantly with the informations!!
You’re most welcome x
Do you enjoy using it? All the bad ingredients scare me 😂
@@Diana-nz5fw I’ve said this on another video but I’ll repeat it.
Xx
i curl my hair with socks and i really love it!!the curls are bouncy and can sometimes stay even more than a day
Appreciate the easy a reference with the second shampoo lol
Also if you like to make your own masks, and are looking for moisture, honey is a humectant so add that to the oil you prefer and the honey will give it a little ‘umph’! “Honey has both emollient and humectant properties, making it a great hair moisturizer. Emollients smooth the hair follicles, adding shine to dull hair. Humectants bond with water molecules, adding moisture to dry strands. By moisturizing and locking in shine, honey can help restore the natural luster of your hair.”
Isabella is probably the only person on earth that can pull off braces so gracefully
I’ve lost a lot of hair recently and your videos are great inspo! Could you do a science of hair supplements if you haven’t already?
What works for you works for you. That’s all that matters. Personally, I’m a pretty low maintenance gal (im just lazy tbh) and the only products I maybe sometimes use once in a blue moon are silicone and yada yada free hairsprays and mouse for when I curl or straighten my hair. I have naturally thick curly hair so I regularly get it cut and thinned out and after every wash I just do a blow out and keep like that for a good 3-6 days :)
Can’t be the only one who likes her poofy hair at 10:33 , that’s my texture too if I air dry without styling! Lol and I love it but I love big hair
Just in the moment, when I struggle with my hair again, I find your video!
ill let you know one thing, i come from finland where the air is extremely dry. my hair never had frizzyness issues and it would never tangle either. I moved to the UK and my hair completely changed, it gets tangly all the time, even within a few hours and frizzy. I think its the combination of water change and the atmosphere, since the air is much more humid. It's just a thought, i know you wouldn't change countries, but your hair could have completely different story in another atmosphere, lke i did. xD
Try flaxseed gel as conditioner on your hair... That will fix your hair... Try some natural things & be constant girl
Have you tried olive oil and egg mask? Just mix them up and apply to hair and let it sit till hard and than wash, biola very soft and no artificial ingredients :) i like your channel very much u go girl!
Your hair did a complete 360. Wow!
Your hair are very beautiful! 😍😍😍 You're gorgeous and you've got very beautiful eyes!
Hi Isabella, hair stylist here (I feel cringe saying that ew) -
Kera-tas?
Thank for saying that about the conditioner! I was confused about her saying that and not giving a reason.
Yes! I've actually heard from my stylist that it's better to squeeze some water out of your hair before applying the conditioner so you don't waste product, whenever I bother to do that my hair feels more moisturized
I ADORE the loreal rice water line you showed!! It's literally all i use
And recently I saw ANAZE brand by the Korean hairstylist, Lee Sung-Kyu, who is more be known as Mr. Kiu on TH-cam.
Enjoy his failed hair to rescue series.
Thank God he has English subtitles to all his failed hair rescuing series so that I could enjoy watching how to treat our hair in the 'right' way!
