    This was relaxing to watch. For such a small channel, your editing is quite good as well.

      Thank you for the kind words! I try to give my videos the best quality I can deliver, but I still have a long road, lot of things to learn and improve! I'm glad you enjoyed it :D!

    If the heatsink is tough to pry of the die. Pro tip: use a hairdyer or heatgun and gently heat up the heatsink (without shroud/fans on), it should be easier to remove. Caution when using cotton buds/q-tips around the gpu die as there are usually very tiny resistors present and don't take much to rip off, even with a cotton bud. :)

      Thank you so much for the tips! I'll take that into consideration for future teardowns! Much appreciated :D

    I use the same thermalpaste and same gpu with oc bios, the gpu never exceed 70c no undervolting and my room temprature is about 29c

    Set a custom fan curve and undervolt your GPU, the temperature difference is crazy, I have a XFX RS 8GB RX 480 and it never goes higher than 70°C even in the most demanding games, and the cooling on this card is way worse than this Sapphire one

    • @ItsMeIvan-
      @ItsMeIvan-  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I did try undervolt and had a custom fan curve, I had 1265 MHz @1.0V and the temperatures rarely went above 70°C. Though for this video I tried to have it at stock since it's the worse case scenario for the temperatures.

      @@ItsMeIvan- , nice chip. My best 1,05v for same freq. But can do 1170mhz with 0,97v, 1340@1,1375

    Bro turn those fans up. There's nothing wrong with fan noise if A:you use headphones. B: you use higher volume on a speaker setup. C: you have tinnitus like me and the constant ringing drowns out the fans totally. xD

    • @ItsMeIvan-
      @ItsMeIvan-  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hahaha! D: just put your PC on another room lol. But seriously, once the fans starts spinning at around 50-60% it sounds like a plane taking Off! May it's a bit exaggerated, but you get the idea. :D

      @@ItsMeIvan-, I have same gpu, and I tuned fans curve to do their job in gpu loaded scenarios(right when high temperatures coming). ty for video, its still valuable to service gpu. at least to continue fans life

      @@ilhambatz348 thermal pad is not thermal paste bro. Alright so i did change my thermal paste with coolermaster master gel pro v2, temps are amazing 72 73c at max with custom fan curve. I reused thermal pads bcs quality ones are a little more expensive in my country. I always do suggest to change thermal pads with arctic silver ones.

      No, I did not since I didn't have Thermal pad replacement at the time. I just re-applied the Thermal Paste.

    I just repasted my rx480 gigabyte g1 gaming, but the temperatures went crazy. I already tried a custom fan curve and undervolting, unfortunetely, I haven't been able to lower the temp while running 3A games. Even when I play gta v at high-ultra settings I get 90 degrees celcius. Any ideas or solutions that may help me?
    In advance, thanks.
    Pd: I used artic mx4

    • @ItsMeIvan-

      That's weird. Is it worse than it was before? Make sure the heatsink is properly mounted, it could be that the the cooler isn't connecting properly with the GPU. Are you sure that the fans are spinning?

    • @JamieR
      @JamieR 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is smart to spread the paste and not use pea method. Due to the mounting pressure is not as strong as with CPUs. Causing the spread to not hit the entire GPU die which in turn means overheating.

      I haven't tried FH5 yet, but have you tried updating your GPU drivers? Make sure you download the "Stable recommended" version and the not the beta, it's the most reliable.
