No, I do not walk around with "injuries" on myself ever, other than Halloween when people might be expecting it. While I am a joker, and a scarer, I never like to trick people into thinking I am actually hurt. 1. Its not nice to make someone genuinely frightened or concerned and 2. Remember the "boy who cried wolf" story if any of you (hopefully not) ever truly do get injured :)
You guys can find this palette online ^.^ Of course, you guys can always put the name of it into Google, and it will pull up stores in your area, or if you have to buy it online/if its only online. Google is the best way to find where you guys can buy products, because I don't know where all cosmetics can be found and shipped around the world, or even in different states in the US.
Genius idea of taking small chunks out of the bottom of the sponge! I'll defiantly use that idea for halloween! Also I love how you had different stages of bruises!
OMG!!! lex you have seriously inspired me! I have wanted to be a special fx makeup artists for 2 years now! you have definitely impacted me! I seriously love you!!! you are PHENOMINAL!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!
This is sooo amazing omg ♡ I used to be obsessed with making fake bruises when I was younger, lmao, so this brings up the weird side of me Cx You're one of the most down-to-earth TH-camrs and you definitely deserve all of the attention, views, and love you're receiving! ♡ xxx Good Luck!!
I love making bruises. It is my favorite thing in special effects makeup. When I was first learning I would practice on my best friend and she would go home with them. Got more than one call from her parents about it haha. I always used cream makeup but after seeing this palette I may expand. Lovely video as always Lex. :)
Hey Lex, awesome tutorial! I was wondering if there were any "cheaper" versions of these types of palettes? I want to begin getting into fx makeup but I don't want to blow $70+ on just one palette. Do you have any to recommend? Thanks! (:
Amazing job as always lex. Will definitely be using this tutorial on my friends for Halloween this year! Keep up the great work and I'm looking forward to your next tutorial!
This video is really cool and the bruises look so realistic, I actually showed one of them to my mom (it was the second one) and she thought it was a real bruise but I told her it was just makeup.
I do full contact sword fighting. That first bruise is pretty tame compared to some of the ones I take home. This is a really cool tutorial, bruises are fun to look at.
every year i am something lame and I have been subscribed to you for a long time and thing you are great. You make me want to be something kick ass for halloween but I have no idea what.
Sorry if this is completely out of the blue, but the way you say the word "doorknob" is just hilarious. (Maybe its just me? But IM not sure i was laughing really hard for some reason) Also, great video, I can't wait for Halloween to use some of these techniques :))
Lex! I would love a zombie tutorial! My husband, two daughter's (6 & 2) are planning to be a zombie family this year for Halloween. We love all your videos!
Had a shelf fall on my leg at work, the bruise was massive and went through all of these colourful stages :P also had that weird hole thing you were talking about
Hi Lex! First of all, I love all your videos and you are so talented. I've seen a lot of photos on pinterest of skeletons with the paint down past the collar bone or full body. I know you have lots of stuff you have planned and are super busy so I would get it if you couldn't get to it. Or could you could just make the scariest makeup/ halloween costume idea you could think of! Thanks so much!
This video just tipped off my excitement for Halloween/Fall! I usually wait until after my birthday in September to get into the spirit but I think I'm gonna start early this year ;)
But yeah, ignoring my story- I love this, especially that you showed us how to achieve different looks during different periods of healing. I need to get some face paint!
I love your vids!!! The best time of the year I like watching you is during Halloween. But that doesn't mean I don't watch your vids other than Halloween. I watch you, "ALL THE TIME". You're amazing and very blessed with such a great talent! Keep up the good work and best fortune to you! God bless!
Wow! Amazing!!! Thanks for this. I'll definitely be using this technique! Taking those chunks out of the sponge really made a huge difference. I'll be purchasing that pallet for Halloween 😊 seems like a must have item for really realistic stuff

These are okay to use on your face, just be careful around your eyes.
