You guys can absolutely place these veins where ever your heart desires. Just don't do anything weird, like trying to paint your eyeball or something. That is highly not recommended.
For those of you asking about the colors mixing in the palette: When you wet the palette again with AL-KA-HOL, you are able to wipe them off again ^.^ Just spray the colors instead of flooding them, and they'll wipe clean. Same with the cover of the palette itself. When any of it gets messy looking, a little spray of alcohol will clean them right up.
Just an additional quick update for you guys while my video loads. I have been sick since August 3rd now, and am STILL SICK! I am a lot better than I was, but I have seriously never had something hold me down so much. Even when I try to ignore it and feel better, its like "NOPE, GO TO SLEEP OR IM STABBING YOU IN THE BRAIN VIA MIGRAINE." It is NOT Diabetes related, I just caught a bad bug somewhere. I apologize in advance if my voice is a little off in my new tutorial. I am hoping after one round of antibiotics, I will start feeling myself again soon.
One more announcement, I WILL BE AT THE NYX FACE AWARDS IN LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA ON AUGUST 22ND! Please be sure to follow me on other social media to stay updated for my meet up location, and time. I am trying to have an additional meet up outside of the FACE awards if possible, but I am not sure at the moment. Of course, no matter what, if you run into me, be sure to say hi!
I'm starting to get into make up and I'm getting the mehron special effects kit for my birthday so thank you for inspiring me to do awesome make up!!! Xxx
I'm watching this before I go to bed so I have a feeling my dreams are gonna have to do with something about veins now. No regrets on that, maybe it'll sink into my memory >:D
Question! Can you use normal brushes or do you have to use disposable brushes. I have always had to buy dollar store brushes because I was scared it would ruin my good brushes.
Ugh ! This gave me a costume idea, seriously your remarkable at your talent you inspire me so much, it's so crazy that your self taught lex. I love you !
So excited for Halloween tutorials! My bday is in October and so is my youngest son's, and literally almost everyone else...my brother, sister, step dad, grandma, my bf, his brother, his dad :) lol. So Halloween and everything creepy has always been my favorite. This was awesome. There were times where I really couldn't tell if it was actually your vein or not. Like the one you wiped off when you started with the purple. It was really interesting to watch!
I was looking at using these palettes for Halloween and I am so glad you made this because I did not know how to use them! I can't wait for your Halloween tutorials in September. You ma'am freaking rock!!
Wow ! You are seriously talented ! I'm only just getting into body painting and you have actually helped me so must because of the tutorials you do ! I only just learned how to do the joker and because I watched the joker tutorial you did so many times , I have nearly perfected it ! So thank you so much for being so talented and inspiring ! ❤️
The Chicago accent when you say "alcohol" is awesome. I teach accents at my theater, and Chicago is a tough one (I'm from Boston, which is an impossible accent to teach, so I'm not making fun).
Hey Lex! Another amazing video, as usual! Have you ever considered trying out for the SyFy channel's show Face Off??? I think you would be PERFECT for that show and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if you won! You need to be in the movies, baby!!!! Much love!!!
I am sooooooo excited for when Halloween comes!! It's my favorite holiday :DD I'm so intrigued to see the makeup ideas you have for Halloween :D I hope they're gorey and gnarly!!!
This might sound a little random, but, do you have any book recommendations regarding things like bodypainting/facepainting? I would like to start using other resources (other than youtube/internet) to learn/revise 'makeup'... I wouldn't know where to begin though haha :)
I was wondering which of these palette I should buy first (Since they're expensive, I can't afford all of them!) but I think I'll get the Necromania one! Amazing video thanks for sharing your knowledge with us :)
Understandable. Personally, I like necro the best, but that is also because I use these to make dead things and veins. If you are looking more towards injury, like bruising, you will be better off with the FX palette.
Hey Lex, Awesome video! One of the sets I've been working on the actress needs veins like this (A little darker though)! I'll have to look into the makeup you used!! I've always wanted one of those palettes! :D Well, I hope you feel better!!! I'm so sorry you've been so sick
I have a couple questions for you, Lex. Your nails. Are those your actual nails or did you get them done...you know...professionaly? The palletes. Where could I get them?
This is soooooooo cool!!! I'm gonna try to do this one day. And can u please do a tutorial on jigsaw from the movie saw. But a girl version? I wanted to be that for Halloween.
Woah that looks so amazing! every time i try something like this i make the veins way to think and it looks very bad but this will absolutely help me thank you very much :) What colors out of this palette would you recommend for more warm/green appearing veins?
What colors do you recommend for black people? can you do a tutorial on a black person cause its so hard trynna find good tuturials for dark skin :( please and thank you
Are you self taught? because you are sooo amazing in all the tutorials I've watched and idk I feel like you maybe have gone to some kind of makeup school or something. Amazing video as always!(:
I am self taught :) Thank you! After practicing for so long, you just start to learn things, and see things differently. This palette took me a while to get the hang of, because it can be a little tricky to work with.
im pretty determined to cosplay as pyramid head this halloween,, but i dont want to leave my arms blank. what would you suggest for me to do? i was thinking some scars but im not too sure how to do some big body scarring. i've been watching you for a LONG time and you're such an inspiration to me :) love ya!
This tutorial is exactly what i needed for a cosplay .i'm gonna be doing Jean Grey(x-men) in her Phoenix form(the movie version ) and i really needed to know how to create creepy veins all over my body. The thing is that in my country you can't find pallets like this to buy. Is there a wesite where we can buy them from?

Would you recommend this for use on the face, or is the alcohol too strong for the skin on your face?
You can definitely use it on your face. Just be careful around your eyes.

I absolutely love the red veins because they are so realistic. But if you were to do this on your neck would you make the veins thicker?
Awesome video man
You say alcohol funny though, never heard it pronounced like that.
Still, it's awesome it's activated that way
Hey Lex, Awesome video! One of the sets I've been working on the actress needs veins like this (A little darker though)! I'll have to look into the makeup you used!! I've always wanted one of those palettes! :D Well, I hope you feel better!!! I'm so sorry you've been so sick

So awesome Lex(: Never a disappointment
This Is awesome! I was wondering, is there any other type of media/paints I could use to recreate this if I don't have these paints??
I would use black to make the veins for Halloween, to go for the disease from Sleepy Hollow.
im pretty determined to cosplay as pyramid head this halloween,, but i dont want to leave my arms blank. what would you suggest for me to do? i was thinking some scars but im not too sure how to do some big body scarring. i've been watching you for a LONG time and you're such an inspiration to me :) love ya!

Lex, there is a body painting competition called Pain Wars on GSN. I think you would qualify. :D
More haloween tutorials, please :D
This tutorial is exactly what i needed for a cosplay .i'm gonna be doing Jean Grey(x-men) in her Phoenix form(the movie version ) and i really needed to know how to create creepy veins all over my body.
