    It feels good to have a privilege to watch your video as a member❤️. As a Bangkok girl I have visited all the temples, more often at the Grand Palace and Wat Pho (almost 10 times) because of my foreign friends 😂 and my personal favour for Wat Pho. And yes, my most favourite one is also Wat Pho as I feel very calm there. Wat Arun is also amazing especially when you get a view from the river, it was even more beautiful before they changed the colour. The view from the top of the Golden mountain was incredible, you are right, it’s very difficult to get this bird eye views of the old city. Thanks for showing them to the world, I enjoyed this video.

      10 times at the Grand Palace!! I don't think that I could survive that haha. Wat Pho is indeed very beautiful, especially when you go early and it is quiet. In fact, I enjoyed all of the actual temples. I just feel, compared to other temples in Thailand, that these feel more like attractions than places of peace and tranquillity. But that is me just comparing, they are beautiful attractions.

      @@hungrytoexplore Had to do it for my friends so 10 times it is. 😂 But are right, these temples are more like tourist attractions. However Wat Pho is still a place I like to go in the evening and sit in silence as it's still peaceful.

    The reason why some buildings in the Grand Palace are closed because it is a place for performing important royal ceremonies for the King But it will be open to visit inside on important days, such as Chakri Day to commemorate the coronation of King Rama I. was the first monarch of the Chakri dynasty including establishing Bangkok as the capital of Thailand
    Every temple you visit is a first-class royal monastery, meaning a monastery where the King queen King Yuparat personally built or restored. with a large building to honor His Majesty which has a different identity Pretty much every temple and it's in the old town. Traveling is convenient, not far from each other. Most of the mural paintings depict the Ramayana story. or the history of the Buddha

    It's weird from seeing you on the bike riding around to many magnificent places in North and South of Thailand, and now seeing you wandering in the big chaotic city Bangkok. I am with you, Grand Palace or temples isn't really my thing either. Don't apologise for your honest opinion. I am more into nature, cave, beach and hiking but still love the VDOs and the effort you put in. Keep up the good work Joe.

    • @hungrytoexplore
      @hungrytoexplore  ปีที่แล้ว

      haha I take a break from riding sometimes. I really do love Bangkok actually, but like you, I would rather be away from the big city

  • @สุทธิศักดิ์มธุรพงศากุล

    The Golden mountain pagoda When it was first built, it was made to resemble a chedi like Wat Arun. but will be much larger
    It appears that due to its heavy weight, the base supports that weight. Soil subsidence and near the canal therefore collapsed in the middle of the chedi Therefore, it was abandoned for many years until it was built as a pagoda in its present form instead.

    The golden mountain had been upgrade so many time in the past 30 years, I went there almost once a year because my parent had a house there(not anymore but they still went to the temple every year). I remember that the 1st time I went there, only the top is golden and the walk way had so many path yet very steep, so it's really dangerous back then and had many bat caves. Then they close off all bat cave and remodel the walk way looking like present one then some years later they color the whole mountain and pathway. Then come the trees, more and more tree as time pass and the waterfall come. And that the present you see

    • @hungrytoexplore
      @hungrytoexplore  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      oh that is interesting. Is it better now than it was then? Or was it more beautiful in its more raw state?

    • @forgame
      @forgame ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hungrytoexplore I like the old one more because you can slide down some stair(that why it dangerous but pretty fun) and it look like it had old holy feeling in it.
      But the new one is a lot more beautiful and safer for tourist, so the renovate is worth it because a lot more tourist come here, I just like the old one more

  • @สุทธิศักดิ์มธุรพงศากุล

    I recommend you to visit the Wang Na National Museum. which you almost have to walk all day because there are so many antiques And there is a money tree, a golden tree that is a tribute to the Chiang Mai Kingdom sent via Bangkok.

    I wondered why no so many people in every temples you visited?
    Normal ice cream at the shop of the golden mountain is so good that can refresh you up before going to the top level.
    And I recommend you to visit
    - Wat Ratchabophit
    - Wat Ratchpradit
    - Wat Suthat
    - Wat Benchamabophit
    Each has very unique + beautiful temple hall, less tourists and 0 fee (maybe).

    500 Baht is too much expensive. Why didn't you separate things, take them inside and reassemble them later?
