The GameCube area was simply the best! :)
I think from an objective point of view (if there is something like that for these games) BfBB is better than The Movie, but for The Movie nostalgia is bigger because it was my first SpongeBob Game :)

A game that wasn’t mentioned that I think deserves one is Spongebob Employee of the Month, it’s a computer game and a point and click adventure and definitely worth a playthrough, especially if you haven’t played a point and click adventure in a really long time

Greatest artist who ever lived both the music and graphics are better than movies tho. Maybe you mean the style of graphics which is okay, but I would still say creature has better graphics and is better overall
Yeah I do think Creature of The Krusty Krab is a little better than the movie game, I just have more fun playing it and it is not as difficult. and you can tell it was inspired by Heavy Iron's games and it was made with love, care, and time. It also has the best music out of any Spongebob game I have ever played, Well almost out of every game that I have played.

Spongebob Games are my childhood! And I agree with #1
Here's my list:
5 - Creature from the Krusty Krab: I like the story, the different art styles and it has my favorite soundtrack of all the SpongeBob games, but the gameplay is way too easy and simplistic and you can't even skip half the cutscenes. I honestly want a remake of this more than BFBB because I feel there's potential for a great game buried under it's issues. Also the GameCube version is a joke.
4 - Lights, Camera, Pants: overall enjoyable game but it's way too short, the AI is either dumb as a wall or as smart as Hal 9000 with no inbetween, and it has enough loading screens to give Sonic 06 a run for it's money which breaks the flow of what is otherwise a fast-paced game even more than the cutscenes in Creature.
3 - Truth or Square: I love how it celebrates the legacy of SpongeBob and overall liked the gameplay and level design, but it's also too short (the fact that there were two more levels planned but left unfinished in the disc just makes it even worst) and the camera is one of the worst I have seen in any game let alone a platformer. I also want this game to get some sort of rerelease to fix it's issues and make it a truly great game.
2 - Battle for Bikini Bottom: there's nothing I can say that others haven't said.
1 - The Movie Game: I like the more combat focused gameplay, the music is my second favorite behind Creature, the level design even if more linear than BFBB fells more focused, never had a problem with the time and ring challenges (in fact I won most of then first try even as a 4 year old) and the upgrade system gives a more strategic feeling to how you play it as it changes how you deal with certain enemies. Even if BFBB is objectively better I still like The Movie Game more due to my preference to more combat-heavy games.

The atmosphere for that game was very dream like and it genuinely felt like you were in a weird dream. That's at least one good thing I can say about it.

How could anyone like the movie game more? Putting sliding into there own levels and taking out the tounge refernce was stupid the patty wagon levels were not fun at all and the other levels are always bombarding you to get those stupid goofy goober tokens and you never know when its going to happen.... And the spongeball and floating block challenges backgrounds just made me wish i was playing spongebobs dream from battle for bikini bottom

Revenge of the Flying Dutchman was one of the first games I ever played. Never did finish it, but for a 4 year old playing it I got quite far into it. I did however finish Battle for Bikini Bottom on Xbox when I was like 5, maybe 6? Such good memories.

I grew up with Creature From the Krusty Krab on the GameCube, and it seems incredibly underrated.
Trust me, SuperSponge on the original PlayStation is way more underrated, and, apart from Legend of the Lost Spatula (that one SpongeBob GBC game), SuperSponge was the first game that SpongeBob himself owned.
I do hope that the actual voice for mr krabs is in the re hydrated edition!

Revenge of the Flying Dutchman was never good, it had a fatal problem in the PS2 version and it led Big sky Interactive (developer of the game) to shut down. that fatal problem of the game was when you enter an area in Bikini Bottom, it causes the game game and even lose your save data.
Spongebob BFBB is definitely the best. I remember getting it back in 2003 during my elementary school days when it was a new release. I didn't expect much either at the time, but it was actually very entertaining when I started playing it. The storyline, fluent controls, exploration abilities, TV show references, and the graphics at the time as well all caught my immediate attention. Sometimes I wish I could go back to that time and relive playing the game for the first time again.

Squarepantis was so shit it sucked! However I agree with everything else, Employee of the Month is underrated, I think it was the first Spongebob game I ever played! But BFBB was the first ever console game in general I ever played, so I have a lot of nostalgia for EoTM & BFBB. :)

To everybody mentioning the "bug" that was in ROTFD, BigSky couldn't do anything about it. It was a hardware issue involving the engine they used and what PS2 the game was being played on. According to the Game's source code, it seemed that they used an old engine from 2000 by Kalisto USA that involved Python scripts. This explains why the PS2 version has 2 Loading screens, because the PS2 had to use some sort of conversion tactic on the disc to make sure the engine could run everytime a loading zone occured.
I have a feeling it's an issue involving the disc readers on some models, since I have the PS2 version and it almost never crashes. If, at all.

The spongebob movie game will always be my favorite because it has so many good memories from my childhood. Whether that be from playing it with my favorite cousin or staying up late trying to finish the game. And my second favorite is Battle for Bikini Bottom because my girlfriend and I bought it at an old game store and we have so many good memories playing it and finding glitches and cheats it’s just great.

The gameplay of battle for bikini bottom borrows mainly from the 2001 game by naughty dog, Jak and Daxter:the precursor legacy. Both games are collectathons the attacks are extremely similar as well as the pause menu which is almost the exact same.

I only played 6 Spongebob Games. I really want to play mostly Truth or Square, Creature from the Krusty Krab and Lights, Camera, Pants! which might be the next Spongebob game I might get. It is about $18 on Xbox 360 anyways. So, Instead of a Top 5, here are my top 6, I guess.

6. Not really. Until I get another Spongebob Game I hate, then I'll make a Worst Spongebob Game List. The last 2 boss battles were really bad. I enjoyed the rest up to there.
5. I know it's OP to have Gizmos, like Ratchet and Clank, but the difficulty is pretty intense, unless you have Spongebob or Squidward.
4. The First Spongebob Game made it be one of my favorite ones of all time. Though it's pretty hard to get the Golden Spatulas 100%. I really wanted all of them too. Oh well.
3. On PS2, a Load Glitch Occurs some/most of the time. Honestly, I got a Loading Soft lock and Freeze. Other than that, I'm fine. I even did a Speedrun on it, No joke. I love the Open World and the Lip Syncing is decent but the music needs more work. 7-8 Track is not gonna cut it.
2. I think you knew this was coming. The Music is great, Lip Syncing just Fantastic, even the costumes are awesome. Gameplay is just, Outstanding.
1. The Gameplay, Music and Lip Syncing is just the same thing I said to The Spongebob Movie Game, but better. My favorite Music tracks in that game have got to be Jellyfish Fields, Downtown Bikini Bottom, Bikini Bottom/Sand Mountain, Kelp Cave, The Mermalair, Kelp Forest, Flying Dutchman's Graveyard, and the Sliding music.
What if they added a versus mode, were you basically either play as a robot, or play as a main character. And since this a remake of the game, there would be certain levels were the versus mode is available. For example, there is a game called left for dead, and this would work almost exactly identical. You play as a zombie or surviver. And to be clear, surviver and zombie are picked randomly by the game. So anyway as a zombie, u have to make sure the survivers don't make it to the end of the level, and for the surviver, it's the same but u have to make it to the end of the level. So if u and ur team of robots can successfully stop the main character from reaching the end of the level. Then ur team wins. U get the point.

I preferred the movie game for its harder difficulty, but BfBB is really close in quality.
An honorable mention to this list is Nicktoons Unite. It’s technically a crossover with SpongeBob and other Nickelodeon characters but it’s a very interesting game that derserves more discussion.

Numerous reasons:
-Graphics are ugly
-Gameplay plays exactly like Plankton's Robotic Revenge even as going so far as having the same PRR enemies.
-Enemies design and enemies themselves are lazy.
-No original soundtracks
-Combat is boring
-Atrocious camera.

i love those 3d games that have bad graphics but are still really fun and are one of the best for example gtavc/gtasa/gtaIII or super mario 64 even the first game on the list truth or square
