I think a sonic heroes remake is a great I hope they cut out the vine portion but instead of swinging on vines portion of the ailgator case gameplay team sonic and team dark can use a jet-ski on the water instead team sonic and team dark can keep the ailgators in the water to make sonic heroes more challenging 😀

I want a bonus boss fight against Neo Metal Sonic. It's really disappointing that in Sonic Heroes, we didn't get a boss fight with him. As soon as he shows up in the Last Story, he immediately transforms into his dragon form, and we fight that instead. There should have been a boss with Neo Metal Sonic before he transformed. So I'd want a Sonic Heroes remake to either integrate that boss into the Last story, or make it a bonus boss fight you unlock and play.
Yeah a good place to put it would be at the end of super hard mode to make it worth getting those A-ranks again (not that I wouldn't otherwise as I even did it on the PC version)

Heroes still somewhat holds up, but being able to see perfect chaos the way he was meant to look, like in generations, as open your heart plays would give me immense chills. If you're gonna have a trilogy, Shuffle is a more deserving game since it was released in between both games (and canonically it takes place between them too). Then again, perhaps this is more fitting for a Dreamcast Trilogy instead... 🤷

I have some ideas for what I'd like to see: Better controls (obviously). The original was super slippery as the Speed characters, and Power would slide around whenever they punched. More variety in level design. The levels were basically the same between the four teams, with the main difference being level length - Team Rose was a good length, with Team Sonic getting into the "okay-ish" zone, and Team Dark being tediously long. Enemy variety. I don't want to be stuck just fighting Egg Pawn variations. Boss variety. You basically fight the same 3 bosses four times each, and two of them are just variations on the Egg Hawk. Also, completely remove Endurance bosses (or at the very least only have one), those are never good. Improvement to the Team Chaotix missions. I don't know _how_ to fix them, I just want them to be less tedious. Better writing/translation. The writing in the original is cheesy, which is okay, but it's way _too_ cheesy sometimes (no more "because we're Sonic Heroes!"). Also, some of the writing is just weird and unnatural, but unfortunately some of the parts that are bad are key parts of the plot, and changing them would require rewriting the events of the story, which is something I doubt Sega would do. In that vein, Rouge to actually open up to Shadow and tell him about his past. This would also lead the way to a Shadow the Hedgehog remaster/remake that is better in every way, especially in the writing - no ambiguity angst about Shadow's past, save for a little bit coming from Black Doom and the Android question, no half-assed morality system, better gameplay, and generally better presentation. At this point it wouldn't really be a Shadow remake anymore, but whatever, it's for the best. Let the rest of Team Sonic turn Super. It would just make sense, as well as make the final boss more threatening, since it would require _three simultaneous super characters_ to take it out. Better voice acting. I do not want to hear the Heroes version of Tails ever again. Better-animated cutscenes/pre-rendered cinematics. The originals have a lot of heart, but they also just _suck._
I could see a work around for a "Free-play mode" where you could choose your own team. They could create possible team blasts with all combinations of all the characters, or they could disable it and give a reason why, "The team created haven't go much synergy so a team blast cannot be performed".
This is the main and only sonic game I would love to see get remastered, considering it never got any hd releases on the last gen consoles, and I think that it will be worth it more than any of the others.
An option to customize teams (similar to the custom team from Sonic World) with different lines that occur depending on the three characters you choose for your team and the ability to use any character available in the game without class limitations (in simple terms, a team could have 3 speed characters, 3 fly characters, 3 power characters, 2 speed 1 fly, 2 fly 1 speed, ect) would be cool additions to Sonic Heroes but the only logical addition i could see actually making it into a remake would be the customizable team (just restricted to having 1 speed, 1 fly and 1 power)
One thing that was a big pain in Sonic Heroes was the Team Rose rocket accel attempt, Amy’s hammer attack stops the team on the dime which made it difficult for time trials with this team, Egg Emperor especially is an example of this, you need real luck with your button presses for the accel for Amy to be pushed forward by Cream and Big. If a player is super lucky, Amy will get a unusual wind circle of speed which is a bit faster than one push per team member. Also the Chaotix team for rocket accel as well, sometimes when trying it, Charmy and Vector stick completely together with Espio which shooting ninja stars instead of rocketing forward, PS2 version was this one’s weakness.
Now that you mention it, this could be a really good idea tbh. They could fix all the physics and momentum issues and maybe change things up with the levels.
If there were an HD remake of Sonic Heroes for the Nintendo Switch, you can bet I'd be quoting Philip J. Fry. That, along with the two Adventure games, was part of my childhood.
Even as a kid who played Heroes religiously, I always wondered why Team Sonic couldn't interact with the Chaotix, or why Team Rose fighting Shadow and crew just wasn't an option. Also, having sunset and night time variants in multiplayer only felt like such a tease. They probably couldn't make a Chao garden because they sacrificed the data to make 9 million save files.
The best part of the whole game is that if you're on speed ability characters, You can jump between the walls. if you're on power ability, you can make awesome attack patterns. if you're on Fly Ability, you can really tackle the enemies with thunder shoot in even bigger patterns. It's like Sonic Heroes really has a lot of combinations to follow with what character you use throughout the levels so what was heard at 11:37 actually feels like you could make combinations out of any customized team's powers.
It kinda depends on how they go about the remake. If they go the Crash and Spyro route where they're pretty much one to one exactly the same just with graphical improvements and some tweaks here and there or the Resident Evil route where they are different games just with the same story and characters and stuff. I'd like to see a blend of both. Mainly the Crash Bandicoot route but rework some Cutscenes as well as other elements such as battles. I think that they could rework the level design. Keep the teams and the story layout but the design of the levels is different for each team. Also either change the Eggman fights so they are different or have damage from the robots. The character battles can just have camera angles showing the other team on another building or something. The main thing I would recommend for it is change the control scheme. Have the character swap as the left and right triggers, freeing triangle and circle for other moves.
Sonic Heroes is my first and favorite sonic game still to this day. I never beat the game as a kid and I had gave the game away to my friend. I promised myself that once I get the game again that I wouldn’t only beat it but I would 100% it. Which I in like October of 2020
Here's an idea to expand your first point: every team has their OWN different set levels they go through every time, and every team's levels are completely different from the next team's. Makes sense they'd all take different paths after all considering where they start off individually. The only levels they'd share are the ones prior to the team battles, and even then the level designs are slightly altered, with different paths appearing depending on the team. This is how Team Chaotix gets ahead of Team Dark before their team fight happens for example, Team Dark took a different path that happened to be a little longer. It would severely cut down on the repetitiveness and give an incentive to actually play all the stories.
Remake of Sonic Heroes would be relatively easy to make because HD assets for most stages already exist. Only Rail Canyon, Frog Forest and Hang Castle would need to use all new assets. The rest could be used from All Stars Racing series.
I want a port of Sonic and The Black Knight on switch though. I really really really love Sonic and the Black Knight. It’s so underrated and it deserves more love.
Shortening the teams would really suck. I think having entirely new levels for each team would be significantly better. Have Sonics team go through the classic stages and have the other teams go through their own unique stages except on occasion where teams have to fight each other in a certain stage. When that occurs, keep the stage theme but change the layout of the stage in order to add variety. This concept was party implemented in the original when team darks stages would greatly differ from that of team rose.
I admit, one thing I've ALWAYS wanted was to play as characters alone, for all flying characters are locked out of a few extra moves when stacked up for one and... just moving about like that is awkward as awkward can be! so... having a solo character mode, where the stages alters to take full use of their skills alone... would honestly be perfect there for an addition! for... wanna play as Big alone? well... now ya can, and each stage would be tailored to take advantage of every skill he has to use for example! that's... what I'd want added in, if possible.
1)Nah man, custom teams, like Sonic+Shadow+Big or Omega+Charmie+Amy or Solo or Duo would be amazing. Also level changes its path by the team you play. And we also need random day/night themes for levels and of course - MORE LEVELS. 2)Simply make teams start at different levels or start of the levels. Also Amy's story can be a prologue(looking for Froggy for Big and then loosing Chocola in process to reclaim afterwards), Sonic's main one(beat all the bad guys), Shadow's - after Sonic's but step by step after him(IVE LOST MY IDENTITY and also epic battle with Sonic for lulz), and Chaotix - an epilogue (after all the commotion Eggman hires these asshole to clear the mess and also save him from Metal going ape shit after Eggman's defeat) 3)YASS More levels and a bonus 3-rd act for each Stage since its anniversary 4)Movements needs some polish for sure, but not even think about Super Speed tracks because its for BONUS MODES YYYYEEEEAH Make Fly Charachters move separately from the team, combos for them jumping on enemies and such Power Charachters - DMC or WereSonic style combo meter plus destructible environments! Nerf the damage from speed charachters and make them rely on their PERKS Yes, perks and level grinding for each charachter - now thats the stuff 5)COOP MODE FOR DUO TEAMS or Speed Attack for Different Teams or DEATHMATCH FOR 2-8 TEAMS 6)Actually we need Crush40 to be back and remix all of the old tracks 7)SUPER charachters - could be secret unlockable BUT also with grinding for balancing them out 8)RETURN ANIMALS FROM BEATEN ROBOTS 9)RELEASE THE GAME PC EXCLUSIVE ON STEAM! If it was done right, I’d say yes, it does deserve a remake. But it will have to be looked over to make sure that most bugs (The ones that cause a lot of trouble) have been removed (Minus a couple of Easter eggs and secrets). It’s always a good idea to make sure that everything works and if something’s out of place, they should fix it, unless it doesn’t affect the game itself.
Honestly I do not mind the slippery controls with speed characters. However there should be control options if you want the controls to be tight or not.
There is no way in heck a Heroes remake would occur before a Sonic Adventure remake. However, knowing Sega, they will never fix the repetition problem that plagues Sonic Heroes and make any exclusive levels for the four teams. Not to mention Team Dark will still have an issue with shield spam, levels would either become way too short or remain too long, the story would still be minimal until the final story, the way of accessing special stages would remain tedious as either, and bad moments like that argument Rouge has with Team Chaotix or Amy trying to marry Sonic would still happen (even as someone who ships Amy and Sonic together in the Boom and Segaverse games continuity; especially with a few hints provided by Black Knight and Unleashed, she is still way too young to marry).
Stop wanting them to cut content, keep all the levels for all the teams so that the games longer than that of Sonic Forces. Heroes levels are so good that every playtrhough is different. Besides you don't have to play each specific level one after the other, once you've played seaside hill with Team Sonic you don't have to do it with Team Dark straight after.
Here's what I would like to see in a Sonic Heroes remake. 1. Give Tails and Knuckles their actual super forms than giving them some bubbles. 2. Make a Team Dark vs Team Rose and Team Sonic vs Team Chaotix bosses. 3. Maybe update the models to the current versions we have. 4. Have a back story on why Metal Sonic decided to try and takeover the world.
Trimming down the levels and giving the Speed formations less slipperiness would indeed be good. And bugfixes go without saying. No sequel, though. There'd have to be a good story reason for it, and the gameplay was already pushed decently enough in the original. Extra levels and teams are fine if they're strictly non-story, not only to keep them from defeating the purpose of trimming the story levels but also to keep the story levels in the original 7 themes x 2 Acts format since there's only supposed to be one theme per Chaos Emerald. Team ideas: Metal (Metal Sonic, Robo Sonic (S2 Mecha Sonic/Silver Sonic), (S(3)&K) Mecha Sonic) Eggman ( -Gemerl- Shadow Android, Eggman, Egg Robo) Tikal (Mighty, Ray, Tikal) Hooligan (Fang, Bean, Bark) Possibly unlocks after full A ranks with Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose and Team Chaotix respectively

In sonic adventure 2, all characters have skins for the 2nd player, which only have different animations and voices, but no stat changes. and ... if we did the same with this game? My ideas are: Sonic - metal sonic: metal sonic instead of walking, hovers tails - tails doll: stay the same knuckles - metal knuckles: metal knuckles attacks with the omega power type attacks. Shadow - jet: jet aura is green Rouge - wave: stays the same Omega - storm: storm uses the knuckles power type attacks Amy - tikal: the Propeller Hammer is replaced with tikal sprit form Cream - honey: honey Instead of attacking with cheese, she'll kick like rouge Big - Heavy & bomb: stays almost the same, but can attack with bomb Espio - fang: the ninja star is replaced by a gun Charmy - bean: instead of attacking with the stinger, I attacked with the beak vector - bark: bubble gum balls, musical notes and fire are replaced with, wind, snowflakes, blocks of ice
@@Nuevaolafan Heh. I deliberately stuck with characters that clearly existed around Heroes's time, weren't West-specific and had something resembling memorability and personality. And also weren't species changes. And wouldn't it make more sense to have Bean attack with his bombs if you're already changing some attacks? And now I'm thinking that Shadow Android would make more sense as Team Eggman's speed character as he's clearly actually IN Heroes and is obviously tied to the plot unlike Gemerl who is more after the fact. I actually have a way to tie Gemerl to Heroes, but it would involve him debuting in an alternate sequel, so to have him be in Heroes would technically be a spoiler.
If they do a remake of Sonic Heroes, maybe they can follow it up with a sequel. Also, I think the Sonic Heroes remake should have updated graphics and have the issues people had with the game ironed out.
If Heroes got a remake, what I'd like is for all the teams to get their own unique levels. Not for teams to be removed, or for levels to be removed. I'd just like more levels, and for them not to be reused.
I dunno, I prefer a one-to-one remake myself (with tweaking to issues such as slippery controls). I like Heroes as it is and even though alot of these additions don't sound bad, they still made me wince for some reason... sometimes things are just fine as they are and need no extra fluff/complexity 🤷 Now what would be REALLY cool is if there were two different versions of Heroes; one version was a one-to-one remake and the other version is what you're describing. If I could switch between them as I feel like it, that would be cool!

While the finalized movie design isn't a train wreck compared to the scraped design, I would still prefer that design never shows up in the mainline games. Sonic still doesn't look right with detailed fur and his facial expression look off at times.
I think remakes based on games with a cartoony license tend to go more towards a faithful remake whereas the A Grade games out there tend to get the proper full on remake treatment

I liked Sonic Heroes. I don't like it as much as the adventure games but it was the runner up. I just don't like the movement and how small the characters are. Boss fights and team work was cool. No manual spin dash was the main downfall to me. Return of special stages was cool. The pvp mode was good too. I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel and not a remaster

One thing that was a big pain in Sonic Heroes was the Team Rose rocket accel attempt, Amy’s hammer attack stops the team on the dime which made it difficult for time trials with this team, Egg Emperor especially is an example of this, you need real luck with your button presses for the accel for Amy to be pushed forward by Cream and Big. If a player is super lucky, Amy will get a unusual wind circle of speed which is a bit faster than one push per team member.
Also the Chaotix team for rocket accel as well, sometimes when trying it, Charmy and Vector stick completely together with Espio which shooting ninja stars instead of rocketing forward, PS2 version was this one’s weakness.
Now that you mention it, this could be a really good idea tbh. They could fix all the physics and momentum issues and maybe change things up with the levels.

Honestly, I just want SEGA to release a modern game bundle for current and last gen consoles.
If there were an HD remake of Sonic Heroes for the Nintendo Switch, you can bet I'd be quoting Philip J. Fry. That, along with the two Adventure games, was part of my childhood.

Even as a kid who played Heroes religiously, I always wondered why Team Sonic couldn't interact with the Chaotix, or why Team Rose fighting Shadow and crew just wasn't an option. Also, having sunset and night time variants in multiplayer only felt like such a tease. They probably couldn't make a Chao garden because they sacrificed the data to make 9 million save files.
The best part of the whole game is that if you're on speed ability characters, You can jump between the walls. if you're on power ability, you can make awesome attack patterns. if you're on Fly Ability, you can really tackle the enemies with thunder shoot in even bigger patterns. It's like Sonic Heroes really has a lot of combinations to follow with what character you use throughout the levels so what was heard at 11:37 actually feels like you could make combinations out of any customized team's powers.

It kinda depends on how they go about the remake. If they go the Crash and Spyro route where they're pretty much one to one exactly the same just with graphical improvements and some tweaks here and there or the Resident Evil route where they are different games just with the same story and characters and stuff.
I'd like to see a blend of both. Mainly the Crash Bandicoot route but rework some Cutscenes as well as other elements such as battles.
I think that they could rework the level design. Keep the teams and the story layout but the design of the levels is different for each team. Also either change the Eggman fights so they are different or have damage from the robots. The character battles can just have camera angles showing the other team on another building or something.
The main thing I would recommend for it is change the control scheme. Have the character swap as the left and right triggers, freeing triangle and circle for other moves.
Sonic Heroes is my first and favorite sonic game still to this day. I never beat the game as a kid and I had gave the game away to my friend. I promised myself that once I get the game again that I wouldn’t only beat it but I would 100% it. Which I in like October of 2020
Here's an idea to expand your first point: every team has their OWN different set levels they go through every time, and every team's levels are completely different from the next team's. Makes sense they'd all take different paths after all considering where they start off individually. The only levels they'd share are the ones prior to the team battles, and even then the level designs are slightly altered, with different paths appearing depending on the team. This is how Team Chaotix gets ahead of Team Dark before their team fight happens for example, Team Dark took a different path that happened to be a little longer. It would severely cut down on the repetitiveness and give an incentive to actually play all the stories.

Remake of Sonic Heroes would be relatively easy to make because HD assets for most stages already exist. Only Rail Canyon, Frog Forest and Hang Castle would need to use all new assets. The rest could be used from All Stars Racing series.

I want a port of Sonic and The Black Knight on switch though. I really really really love Sonic and the Black Knight. It’s so underrated and it deserves more love.
Shortening the teams would really suck. I think having entirely new levels for each team would be significantly better. Have Sonics team go through the classic stages and have the other teams go through their own unique stages except on occasion where teams have to fight each other in a certain stage. When that occurs, keep the stage theme but change the layout of the stage in order to add variety. This concept was party implemented in the original when team darks stages would greatly differ from that of team rose.
I admit, one thing I've ALWAYS wanted was to play as characters alone, for all flying characters are locked out of a few extra moves when stacked up for one and... just moving about like that is awkward as awkward can be! so... having a solo character mode, where the stages alters to take full use of their skills alone... would honestly be perfect there for an addition! for... wanna play as Big alone? well... now ya can, and each stage would be tailored to take advantage of every skill he has to use for example! that's... what I'd want added in, if possible.

1)Nah man, custom teams, like Sonic+Shadow+Big or Omega+Charmie+Amy or Solo or Duo would be amazing. Also level changes its path by the team you play. And we also need random day/night themes for levels and of course - MORE LEVELS.
2)Simply make teams start at different levels or start of the levels. Also Amy's story can be a prologue(looking for Froggy for Big and then loosing Chocola in process to reclaim afterwards), Sonic's main one(beat all the bad guys), Shadow's - after Sonic's but step by step after him(IVE LOST MY IDENTITY and also epic battle with Sonic for lulz), and Chaotix - an epilogue (after all the commotion Eggman hires these asshole to clear the mess and also save him from Metal going ape shit after Eggman's defeat)
3)YASS
More levels and a bonus 3-rd act for each Stage since its anniversary
4)Movements needs some polish for sure, but not even think about Super Speed tracks because its for BONUS MODES YYYYEEEEAH
Make Fly Charachters move separately from the team, combos for them jumping on enemies and such
Power Charachters - DMC or WereSonic style combo meter plus destructible environments!
Nerf the damage from speed charachters and make them rely on their PERKS
Yes, perks and level grinding for each charachter - now thats the stuff

If it was done right, I’d say yes, it does deserve a remake.
But it will have to be looked over to make sure that most bugs (The ones that cause a lot of trouble) have been removed (Minus a couple of Easter eggs and secrets).
It’s always a good idea to make sure that everything works and if something’s out of place, they should fix it, unless it doesn’t affect the game itself.

Honestly I do not mind the slippery controls with speed characters. However there should be control options if you want the controls to be tight or not.
This game was ahead of its time 😌. When I was younger it was harder to get the emeralds in the special stages. Now when I do it it’s so easy😂
There is no way in heck a Heroes remake would occur before a Sonic Adventure remake.
However, knowing Sega, they will never fix the repetition problem that plagues Sonic Heroes and make any exclusive levels for the four teams. Not to mention Team Dark will still have an issue with shield spam, levels would either become way too short or remain too long, the story would still be minimal until the final story, the way of accessing special stages would remain tedious as either, and bad moments like that argument Rouge has with Team Chaotix or Amy trying to marry Sonic would still happen (even as someone who ships Amy and Sonic together in the Boom and Segaverse games continuity; especially with a few hints provided by Black Knight and Unleashed, she is still way too young to marry).
Stop wanting them to cut content, keep all the levels for all the teams so that the games longer than that of Sonic Forces. Heroes levels are so good that every playtrhough is different. Besides you don't have to play each specific level one after the other, once you've played seaside hill with Team Sonic you don't have to do it with Team Dark straight after.

1. Give Tails and Knuckles their actual super forms than giving them some bubbles.
2. Make a Team Dark vs Team Rose and Team Sonic vs Team Chaotix bosses.
3. Maybe update the models to the current versions we have.
4. Have a back story on why Metal Sonic decided to try and takeover the world.

Trimming down the levels and giving the Speed formations less slipperiness would indeed be good. And bugfixes go without saying.
No sequel, though. There'd have to be a good story reason for it, and the gameplay was already pushed decently enough in the original.
Extra levels and teams are fine if they're strictly non-story, not only to keep them from defeating the purpose of trimming the story levels but also to keep the story levels in the original 7 themes x 2 Acts format since there's only supposed to be one theme per Chaos Emerald.

Metal (Metal Sonic, Robo Sonic (S2 Mecha Sonic/Silver Sonic), (S(3)&K) Mecha Sonic)
Eggman ( -Gemerl- Shadow Android, Eggman, Egg Robo)

I came up with an idea similar to yours.
In sonic adventure 2, all characters have skins for the 2nd player, which only have different animations and voices, but no stat changes.

My ideas are:
Sonic - metal sonic: metal sonic instead of walking, hovers
tails - tails doll: stay the same
knuckles - metal knuckles: metal knuckles attacks with the omega power type attacks.
Shadow - jet: jet aura is green
Rouge - wave: stays the same
Omega - storm: storm uses the knuckles power type attacks
Amy - tikal: the Propeller Hammer is replaced with tikal sprit form
Cream - honey: honey Instead of attacking with cheese, she'll kick like rouge
Big - Heavy & bomb: stays almost the same, but can attack with bomb
Espio - fang: the ninja star is replaced by a gun
Charmy - bean: instead of attacking with the stinger, I attacked with the beak
vector - bark: bubble gum balls, musical notes and fire are replaced with, wind, snowflakes, blocks of ice
@@Nuevaolafan Heh. I deliberately stuck with characters that clearly existed around Heroes's time, weren't West-specific and had something resembling memorability and personality. And also weren't species changes.
And wouldn't it make more sense to have Bean attack with his bombs if you're already changing some attacks?
And now I'm thinking that Shadow Android would make more sense as Team Eggman's speed character as he's clearly actually IN Heroes and is obviously tied to the plot unlike Gemerl who is more after the fact. I actually have a way to tie Gemerl to Heroes, but it would involve him debuting in an alternate sequel, so to have him be in Heroes would technically be a spoiler.

If Heroes got a remake, what I'd like is for all the teams to get their own unique levels. Not for teams to be removed, or for levels to be removed. I'd just like more levels, and for them not to be reused.

I dunno, I prefer a one-to-one remake myself (with tweaking to issues such as slippery controls). I like Heroes as it is and even though alot of these additions don't sound bad, they still made me wince for some reason... sometimes things are just fine as they are and need no extra fluff/complexity 🤷 Now what would be REALLY cool is if there were two different versions of Heroes; one version was a one-to-one remake and the other version is what you're describing. If I could switch between them as I feel like it, that would be cool!
An option to play the game as intended would be smart!

Shadow the hedgehog is the best old 3d sonic game. It doesn't deserve a remake but I would love to see another choose your own adventure game that takes place in the sonic universe.

Heros is very messy but I do love it in the sonic franchise. In the sonic series it is tied for my third favorite entry in the series.

While the finalized movie design isn't a train wreck compared to the scraped design, I would still prefer that design never shows up in the mainline games. Sonic still doesn't look right with detailed fur and his facial expression look off at times.

I liked Sonic Heroes. I don't like it as much as the adventure games but it was the runner up. I just don't like the movement and how small the characters are. Boss fights and team work was cool. No manual spin dash was the main downfall to me. Return of special stages was cool. The pvp mode was good too. I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel and not a remaster
