Willington, you need to turn ON the EQ. The little slider icon at the top of the app needs to be slid to the right. That's why you didn't notice any difference when adjusting the EQ. You were moving the bands around, but you had the EQ set to off. The EQ does not active by simple selecting the tab marked EQ, you need to press the little red slier button at the top of the app and then you will hear the change.
That bass though I'm listening to this through my jbl flip 4

I've owned a Soundboks 3 for about two years now. Very pleased with sound and bass. Quality and build are top notch. It's a tank. I sit on it around a campfire. Still performs superbly. It's loud and sounds very good 100 ft away. Only con is it's size and weight. About 40lbs. I love it though. Highly recommend. Trust me, buy it with 2 batteries, even though they they last forever.
Well youre probably used to mids instead of bass. This thing has flat drivers that play absolutely 0 deep bass, only screams 100 hz and above, weak overpriced product.. the partybox 310 and especially the 710 destroy this poop.

I agree that battery set up is not cool 😎 at all. Otherwise it’s a nice speaker but it is to expensive for my pockets 🤣.

@@alexdoukas Yes, the 310 has a better sound a harder bass and the limit of the sound is higher. Also i love on the 310 the disco lights because they are different to the 100. The stroboskop lights are much better too. I lover also that the party box 310 has rolls on it.

@@Julian-Willemsen How can it not have deep bass at all? I have had my SB for over a year and on normal indoor volume the bass can rattle things in my house. It goes down to 40 hz and the only speakers that I have heard having deeper bass are big subwoofers. And the SB 2 had deeper bass in the begining of the SB 3 but now with the app and bass+ option they have about the same bass.
I think it would sound a lot better with a tweeter
It does have a tweeter, but it looks a bit like a woofer because of the horn in the left of the speaker

Does the high end stay clean at max volume? I have a EV 12 inch sub. Would the bass be similar at max volume or does it just get loud and distorted?
I almost chose to get this but ended up getting a diamondboxx L3. I hope to see a comparison of both but so far there's only one review of the L3 until today.

Indoor mode is good at Max volume, the bass is better then.
Almost the same money buys a pair of KEF LSX on sale. Quality or quantity? A personal choice.
Cant believe I am going to have to return my 2 soundboks gen 3 units. Truly staggered to discover there is no means of adjusting down a connected microphone to Ch1 or Ch2 when the main volume is set to 11. I have never in my life known of any speaker that did not allow you to control the volume of a mic!! .. considering the p[revious version of the app has a 0 to 100% volume slider, now replaced with an EQ that has zero effect on sound.

You don't have to have the battery in.

The 1000 destroys it in bass😅 and it's still cleaner overall but you have to plug it in
This is definitely one of, if not the loudest fully portable bluetooth speaker you can get. Personally, I have a jbl partybox 1000 and I am amazed with the amount of bass it can produce, how good it sounds and how loud it can get. I can feel the floor and the walls shaking from the bass and it gets as loud or maybe a tiny bit louder than the soundboks 3. Anyway, great review, keep up the good work! Greetings from Romania 🇷🇴

It's on the expensive side, I wish it was a little cheaper than it is too, it's hard to recommend it to people at that price point.

The soundboks 2 costs around 700 euro's (last time i checked) and it doesn't have these features but at the same time i could also buy a JBL speaker for much cheaper
@@DLXWillington can you do a volume test on a JBL speaker with "Low Frequency Mode" enabled because you never did that.
Maybe you're already aware of that mode but to enable it hold down the bluetooth button and the minus button for 10 seconds.
Then it's louder because the dsp is off
I am guessing "Indoor" is assuming you place it just right in a corner or something....

I'm a JBL dude for sure, but sometimes buying stuff online leaves me with mixed feelings. Can anyone tell me how JBL sells refurbished items, but they don't offer to fix your blown speakers or smart speakers that just go dumb? I have a JBL link 300 that just won't find any WiFi network or a Bluetooth signal and I have a JBL Link 500 with a blown woofer. How do I get them repaired? Two completely different issues... just wish JBL offered a solution. I mean where do their refurbished products come from? Warranty returns I guess...idk. Do you?

Try to look up the woofers online to see if you can find some replacement units my charge 4 battery died so I sent it back im just waiting for them to send me back my new one

Oof that's a Apple and oranges comparison devialet Phantom is tuned for classical listening while the Soundboks is ment for Party's its not the most high fidelity but very loud sound that's also clean

I have 9 jbls...two off them being the 310s..but if I really want loud meaning really loud, I get my sack truck out put a rcf 715a mk4 on it with a 15 inch alto sub woofer and either my 300 watt battery or I’m really going for it I put my Honda eu2200i on the hand truck and wheel that around ..blows away most speakers on the road.
Well the thing is that the partyboxes actually have deep rattling bass that is great for cars, and this crapbox 3 wouldnt even shake a single window.. it has only mids with 0 deep bass
