The JBL sound more refined the bass is cleaner and the treble sounds clear and with the lg it sounded muffled and I feel like if the speaker wasn’t as loud it would be muffled
I’m agree with the other poster...for this video the JBL clearly sounds better. The LG does in fact sound muddy, you can instantly hear the sound open up when the video switched to the JBL....every time, on every song
I don't know what you guys are hearing, the LG has a more of a flat EQ, the Mids and highs have better range and smoother blending and enhanced sound stage. JBL is really pushing the V shaped response, you hear bass, vocals and highs, but the way it's doing it compresses the rest of the frequency range. Both are great, but I would give LG the win based on it's crisp highs, flexible mids and it's larger soundstage.
@@DaneH64 You need new headphones. The LG in this comparison is actually clipping. There is noticeable distortion from it. I guess if you want a response with more output from 500K-4K then yeah, the LG is louder. Our hearing naturally rolls off on the high end and low end. "(Hence the "smile" or "V" shape so common on teh EQ's. So it's not really that you want a "flat" output curve because that would sound more like the LG here. You want to make sure the speakers are not coloring the sound with spikes and troughs in the 360x180* hemisphere spread of the speaker. (Yea right, any speaker has HUGE roll off on the sides.) The JBL has the correct sound, and it's bass performance is head...make that head and shoulders above the LG as the JBL consistently plays 20-30hz lower and cleaner.
@@jaycoviello9409 Compression? You can literally hear the audio separation from LG and it's vastly superior to JBLs. Partybox sounds like a typical bassy boombox (all JBL speakers do) while RK7 can even play acoustics and acapella beautifully.
Dr. Wiki LG rather has no speration since the bass is boosted more towards the upper bass region. Idk whether or not if you know the basics of harmonics but boosting 120-250 Hz can make the bass boomh which muddles rest of the track. While if a speaker is tuned with more deep bass like let's say 45 Hz like the JBL its not gonna affect the vocals or instruments. Rather add clarity to the sound since deep bass can only reproduce the accurate acoustic reasonance.
From hearing the two speakers, the LG is significantly louder, but it sounds flooded with the highs 14khz and up, it kind of sounds like a boombox where the highs are pretty high, the party box 100 is softer, not as loud but the sound is more balanced in my opinion, a more fair battle would be the partybox 300 against the LG. | I'm trying to give my honest opinion and not trying to be byast.

Na perfectly balanced is an overstatement. I have also the 100 and its clearly more for people who like bass (like on a party haha). On higher volume you can also hear a distortion. More balanced are my sennheiser headphones jet also not perfectly balanced but with a cleary flatter sound profile.
@@cbkae8119 you're right it's a bad comparison. But my main point stands. there are way more balanced speakers out there. Don't get me wrong, I love the pb100 and it is perfectly fine for what it is.
It's funny, because I have 2 PB100s and I know how they sound. While I was listening to the comparison I thought that the PB100 sounds like a balanced kitchen radio compared to the loud shoebox LG. It felt like the PB100 has no guts, but that's just because I was listening more quietly. In reality the PB100 can rock quite a party in terms of loudness. It definitely isn't loud enough for a 100+ people wedding, but it's by far not gutless. The LG sounded like it only has upper boomy bass without much lower one. The mids were popping out, but probably as they are boosted like a hill with a gap to the bass and highs. The highs also sounded shouty. Probably for a party where the people don't care about sound quality, but want shouty and very loud speakers, the LG would be the better choice. For my type of parties where we like to be able to hear each other and enjoy more unobtrusive but still fully sounding music, the Partybox 100 is my choice.

@@Boomboomvroom Thanks a lot for answer about sound quality.
