Insanely high effort. Makes me want devs to add a passenger car that streamlines some of the interface to drive the train, maybe maintains the fps view
One little detail I see was missed: on a railroad, the catenary wire isn't in a straight line; it moves side to side a bit, in slight diagonals. This is done to reduce wear and tear on the pantograph's electrical pickup. Because if the same spot on the pantograph was always in contact with the wire, it'd wear out much more quickly. Moving the power line connectors back and forth by 1 notch in either direction I think could emulate this very well. But I'm seriously impressed by this network. Makes me want to build my own like this!
I am an IRL rail engineer, and im impressed by this, a signal every two stanchions is a *quite* over the top considering that the train is easily over 3 stanchions long meaning that the train would occupy at least 2 block sections at the same time. Also the double x-overs are quite unnecessary, while it did let you go past the stopped train between 1:53 and 2:11, crossovers between the up and down lines are only ever done when there is a need to turn out over the other side of the lines.
In addition, automated trains in Satisfactory won't use them (from what I know about Satisfactory trains from reading the wiki, haven't got them in-game yet but am excited to) since they will just take the shortest valid path. They do not route around any obstructions.
often in games with signalling systems, people go overkill because they kept running into issues they thought they had to solve with more signals. signal engineering can be difficult, it requires some knowledge or intuition of graph theory, simple rules often run into complex errors
additionally, there are two wires, one above the other. the reason for this is that the top wire holds up the bottom wire (there are little pieces of wire connecting the two) so the bottom wire remains straight (the top wire will sag). Although it isn't really possible to have the top wire hold up the bottom wire in Satisfactory, you could consider putting a top wire in to improve the realism somewhat.
Wow you should really consider hosting the file to let people explore this or alternatively the blueprint files. Amazing world, would love to see how you designed the Stations and turn peices.
Two questions. 1) How you keep the camera from bugging out when you pass the beam? 2) How you make the train so fast? You did not go down hill, and I know just adding two engines don't make it faster.
Great video! I was especially impressed by this very realistic and beautiful curving track I’m very interested in the "how to" on how to lay this track🙂
beautiful train line!! I'm surprised that you didn't have it branch off more. Love those blueprints. Must be a lot easier to build on the edge of the map like that.
it would be an aesthetic choice. same reason there are pillars going from the rail foundations to the ground. The game doesnt need them but it looks nice.
Question, when the train goes from the right lane to left lane. and then another train comes in on the right. is that done with path signals? or did you just do it like that?
I like your track support design; but you don't need to string up power cables. The track itself provides power. Though I guess it'd be necessary if you don't have train stations at certain places, and there is none near by.

Love the use of conveyer belts as escalators! I’ll have to use that in my builds

I would LOVE a first person train driving

@@4rzw Its my job?
@@CauseOfBSODif the shortest path has a danger signal though, it won't be valid, so it will route around obstructions that cause the signal to trip.

I like the Zugunfälle Counter an der Seite da
small tipp: the catenaries on trains go zigzag to reduce the wear of a single spot of the pantograph

Pantograph? What pantograph?

the crash hit me like a sudden scream in an ASMR video
3:38 lol all was going so smoothly up until here lol
And very quickly went off the rails 😂
Putting the power lines above the train track gets that realistic vibe, perfection.
Amazing train network! It's inspirational! 🙌
I love the escalator!
I knew it was gonna be special when i saw the escalator up
Love it… you did a great job 🫶
Hope next time you could elaborate a little, and tell us about the work, struggle or even tips ❤️
Fantastic work mate 🥰
i did not expect that crash lmao
What mod is used for the speed?
I'm dreaming of an optimisation update so we can run the game with those setting whiteout any lags
Amazing traintracks. Can you make tutorial how to build track curves so smooth?
A happy Accident. Well made.
Are these made using blueprints? If so have you uploaded them somewhere so we can use them too? Looks really clean!
The insane number of hours this build must have taken.
Great video!

Smooth, gorgeous & impressive!
Truly wonderful!
THE ELEVATOR THOUGH?!?!
@3:32 nice crash ^^ always looks so nice when they crash
So why do people follow trains with power lines? Am I missing something or doesn't the track carry power still?
it would be an aesthetic choice. same reason there are pillars going from the rail foundations to the ground. The game doesnt need them but it looks nice.
Maybe it's a good idea - to add temperature data of CPU & GPU to stats ? )

How did you get your train to go so fast?
Faster trains mod
i like scene 3:11 . next train near :D living factory
Beautiful !
Boom! Train collision!!!
Belts as escalators... holy crap.
I like trains, love the track!
HOW WAS THE TRAIN SO FAST????
That;s what I was thinking! Went up to like 300! On a flat! Just kept getting faster! -sincerely Uel
@@samuellees3534 I would guess that its a mod most common Ig
@@samuellees3534 I think it is a mod because it has a 180km/h speedlimit I think when going down
Bro, how did that train make it to nearly 400kph, I thought the default was around 180k
120 km/h is the default
Must be hundreds of hours work.
How is your train moving at 350km/h??
good question
@@linse6388 I installed a mod
@@Amethyst_js what mod
wasn't expecting that!
Someone is a Gomez Addams train wreck fan! lol
Why does everyone make horizontal roads? The game allows you to build higher, avoiding intersections.
Aesthetics
It's great I'm amazed
Die ToDo liste ist geil
hey, how did you "make it rain" ?
Why power lines along tracks? Train tracks already carry power.
I'm guessing because it emulates real life trains.
What are the graphics settings? Why is there such a glow from the train 0:07
Well, the signal _was_ red.
its looks very nice
This but with steam engines for when we unlock coal
nice
not enough off ramps. cant really call it a network if it just goes around the map
Thanks for the video Amethyst ...got awkward pretty quick with the crash, but cool circuit
Bro built Trans-Siberian Railway
how you getting that much speed??
He uses like 5 trains
How is your train so fast?
thanks to several trains?
He is using mods
@@3ray_music could you tell the title?
@@Nobody-ju6pt i have no idea but its probably called something like "More Trains" or "faster trains"
@@3ray_music hmm, ok)
anyway, thanks
What mods did you use?

which mods u using any or none
How did u get the speed that high ? Is it a mod ?
Escalator ? insta like xD
wow you've put lots of effort in this
HOW IS IT THAT FAST
I wonder whether the crash was intentional haha
Love the attention to detail! Maybe a tutorial would be nice.
О це так заморочився 👍
No clipping??? How??? Amazing!!!
Your zigzag is waaay off.
But nice setup 👍
why did it crach
I like your track support design; but you don't need to string up power cables. The track itself provides power. Though I guess it'd be necessary if you don't have train stations at certain places, and there is none near by.
Im aware of that fact; however I find that it looks better with overhead power
Imo blocks are too short
Sehr geil, ich plane auch Züge mehr zu nutzen, aber selbst auf einer einzelnen Strecke crashen sie regelmäßig aus teils unerfindlichen Gründen
