  • How to change rear brake caliper on VW GOLF 5 (1K1) 1.6 Hatchback 10.2003-02.2009 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]
    Brake caliper on AUDI A3 Hatchback (8P) (05.2003 - 08.2012) / SEAT Altea (5P, 5P1) (03.2004 - 2012) / SEAT Leon II Hatchback (1P, 1P1) (05.2005 - 12.2012) / SKODA Octavia II Hatchback (1Z3) (02.2004 - 06.2013) / VW Jetta Mk5 (1K2, 1KM) (08.2005 - 10.2010) cars should be replaced, as a rule, according to one and the same procedure.
    However, there can be slight differences due to specific features of the vehicle design.

    Thank you for this really comprehensive video, but please display the captions for longer - it took twice as long to watch the video because I had to repeatedly rewind. Superb picture quality, though. Apart from the caption issue, a brilliant tutorial

    I just had new rear discs, pads and callipers fitted to my 2006 Golf Mk 5. The brake pedal's now very spongy, you have to pump it, the garage say all the air was bled out of the system and it should bed in. After 100 miles it's still spongy, The pedal gets harder after several pumps, is this usual?!!

    I need to remove the caliper housing itself, in order to replace the rotor. There's a star bit I need in order to do this, but I don't know what size the star bit is. 🤷‍♂

      Yes.
      You may only need to do the corner you replace but it’s a good time to do the system.
