You're not wrong, they want you to go to the store in hopes you'll buy something. ...but that's not the sole reason. All of these mobile game companies collect metadata on users and sell it to/share it with other corpos. All of them. Its another avenue for revenue.

Everything in the Daily Events tab is something that I basically ignore. With the exception of the faction rep events. I don't even know what the other alleged events are/were.
New ship needing armada loot to upgrade is a pain, armada tokens once a week and armada events 3 days after ship release. Initial feel of this arc is much worse than last month 😥
You really should have collected the info on the unrealistic scaling of The March of Progress event milestones before speaking to it. As it stands it should be labeled a 'Heroic' event. At ops56 the top milestone is 1.3bil or 86mil in power.

This may help the issue that you don’t upgrade stuff until events even if it takes months of waiting
