It’s not about turning off your intrusive thoughts, it’s about learning how to not attach emotions onto them and understanding that they are inevitable

True….😢but this concept still works though.. to observe the thought and figure out either it’s real or not, 99% the thought is of course fictitious and from our old belief system😊and also working with psychotherapist works a lot.

I started fasting and praying for deliverance from intrusive thoughts God delivered me from intrusive thoughts and is still doing so. Since I can't afford therapy as of now , I resort to fasting and prayer.I had never experienced such. I'm very mindful of what I watch and music I listen to. And what conversations I entertain. If you can afford, go to therapy if not, fast and pray , meditate. Avoid social media a little bit. Thank You.

It’s the rumination of regrets over past misdeeds and traumas etc….when you’re busy with tasks they are suppressed but still lurking- exercise and music together and separately are great therapies to alleviate these negative mind circuits. Journal your thoughts and read them after then reconcile the more persistent ones. Release the darkness and work on yourself one day at a time.

    • @nicolajames5037

What works for me is 1) identify that it is an intrusive thought 2) let it float away 3) go on with my day
If it happens again, don't feel bad about it. Just keep letting it pass and don't give it any fuel. If you find yourself ruminating, identify that you are ruminating and that you are not doing yourself any favors by ruminating.
You can overcome this! Remember that you are not your thoughts and that our brain says a lot of stupid things sometimes.

I found the best way to get rid of them is the Prayer of the Heart aka as the Jesus Prayer. The Orthodox saints used to say it up to 12,000 times a day. Personally 300 times in the morning and evening works for me and has significantly reduced the intensity and frequency of some horrible intrusive thoughts. The prayer is “Lord Jesus Christ, Have Mercy On Me.”
    Try it out.

The first thing I do is recognize I'm having unwanted intrusive thoughts. It gives me instant relief because I can relax knowing it isn't something I should engage with nor it's something I actualy believe. As those thoughts tend to appear when I'm stressed out, I try to find out what's actualy bothering me. I've realised intrusive thoughts, for me, are a type of scapism. My mind brings awful thoughts to cover something I don't want to face. Then, I see if I can face it at that moment. If it's too intense, I just recognize the trigger, comfort myself and state I'll deal with it when I calm down. Finding the root of the problem has helped me a lot and made me aware of my triggers so I can handle them to the best of my abilities.

In true sights are those that you pay attention to and react to emotionally. The more you do the more they come back. When it's not pleasant, it turns on your bodies. Theory response or the sympathetic nervous system flight or flight. As it adapts to this pattern it becomes an addicted pattern. This is where all trauma reactions turned into phobias and worse. A label called anxiety which is simply a word of this evil world.
Yes, I'm a professional and I had training way beyond graduate schools and exams. And licensure.
Those who give out information that just confuses things can make it far worse. Emergency rooms do not know either. What's going on and they give drugs and turn people loose prescriptions for xanax. And all host of different addictive drugs are not the answer. 🙄🤔🕊🙏❤️🙌✝️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

fun fact (and true fact): if you know how to meditate, you can meditate skydiving.
The point is, you don't need a quiet place if you know what you're doing.

While not everyone who has intrusive thoughts is significantly impacted by them, these thoughts can become distressing and disruptive for some.

Lmao let me go meditate and reflect on my intrusive thoughts to end it all in all in my life. I think too many psychologists think meditation is key.

Scrutinize your thoughts: Submit your thoughts, ideas, and feelings about life and God to scrutiny. If anything is out of line with what Paul taught, destroy it.
Ask the Holy Spirit to work: Expose yourself to the power of the Holy Spirit.
Follow the counsel of Solomon: Guard your heart, as everything you do comes from it.
Be transformed by the renewing of your mind: Romans 12:2 says, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind”.

This neither explains what are intrusive thoughts, nor does give any new solution to them other than what people are already doing naturally.

Intrusive thoughts bad... increasing background music while the crescendo prevents hearing the solution/tips is worse! Do better. Listen to what you've recorded.

Intrusive thoughts are something Natural, they are seen like a problem so they became It. There are some bias in these research topics

    • @universityofphoenix
      @universityofphoenix  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

We appreciate your thoughts, Gabriele. Intrusive thoughts are definitely natural, that's why so many Americans continue to experience this. We hope this can help those to cope!
