This video was actually very helpful. I too often feel like recording some of the stuff I do on my trailblazer. It feels like there's not enough out there. Also you were straight to the point. Thanks.

When you started reading the number off the old seal I thought you were gonna sing "8675309" hahah

Sincere thanks big time for taking your time to make this video!

Thank you, there isn't any videos of this.

Very helpful having that part number. I went to 2 auto parts and nobody could find a cross reference for this seal for some reason. It's not in any database here. They told me it's probably an ac delco part only. 😂

This is way late, but it looks like your trans was a 2wd to 4wd conversion. You still have the plug with the orifice in the back that is spraying trans fluid into your adapter. It's supposed to be solid, no hole, on 4wds.

Did you have a small spring come out when you pulled the seal?

Would this apply with the 4L60E as well?

Thanks for video. Very helpful to see the seal number AC Delco 8675517 and the NAPA number. If you checked with NAPA to begin with you probably couldn't find the right seal there because they call it a "Rear lube seal" and if you go by size they show the inner diameter at 67 inches (probably not quite right). So it's really helpful to see that original number!

Did you have to remove the extention to access the seal? I have a 4l60 and have removed the tcase due to pump rub but noticed fluid when i separated the tcase from the transmission. However i looked and there is no visible snapring or seal. Any advise?

audio sucks...please redo audio. Also trying to "pry out" with flat blade does NOT work!!! You have to screw in a couple of sharp dry wall screws and use a slide hammer to pull seal out! No room for a seal removal tool. Maybe someone else can chime in on a trick to get this out.
