Or some padding for A floating floor such as hardwood or laminate (optional pre-attached padding on laminate). 🤔 Come to think of it, new carpet will cover it too. Lay padding, tac strips right on top.
For the window painted with colored clear glue, I would actually use white glue. It will end up a more even finish and color, and it will have a nice frosty look

The floor project used to be done with torn brown paper bags and varnish…..your project turned out great !

The Elmer’s glue and paint is water based. It shouldn’t be flammable.
