The name change to Myanmar Airlines reflects the country’s name change to Myanmar. I flew from Rangoon (now Yangon) to Penang, Malaya - now Malaysia. I like the ‘fresh look’ and consequent expressions of appreciation and amazement when received a flight meal. I agree with you. The meal looked very good. With the kind of service you received, Myanmar Airways is bound to succeed. In the late 50’s UBA were the first South East Asian airline to use turbo-prop planes - Vickers Viscount. The Laksa looked good!
Thanks for the upload. You're absolutely right about US domestic airlines not serving free meals.... I have flown around the USA countless number of times and on different airlines, and they all suck. I take that back, Southwest is ok, Jet Blue is also not so bad. On most Asian airlines they serve you free meals even on a 45 minute flight. I am a native of Myanmar but have been living in the United States since 2011. Yangon is my hometown. Look forward to viewing your other Myanmar vlogs.

I think it's like Indian meal. In burmese, we called Ma-Sa-La, it's kinda like a odour powder which is put mainly in Indian meals. You should try it though, it smells good.

This was an interesting insight - but just as a general comment, as someone who flies internationally every few months, the US actually has some of the worst airlines/service/value in the world (when you were comparing the service)... Even Afghanistan national airlines gives you free food etc. I hope you enjoyed Myanmar, it is a great country

Yeah this was in 2019. I only stayed in Myanmar for one night because I was on a mileage run.
