@@Railviation | They aren't necissaraly going to be retired, they're still going to be used incase the newer one's go out of service for some reason. They're basically back up.
@@Subpowerzero66 or deactivate them and or convert them to coaches kinda like what NJ Transit did to some of their older comet cars, only the comet V’s end the train (or lead), I THINK that’s what their gonna do, but I’m not 100% sure. That decision is up to them.
@@allohiorailfan6123 Yeah only the Comet V leads now. The Comet I and Comet III are retired, the Comet II was converted into regular coaches, and the Comet IV is still a cab car but deactivated.
