My question is why has sounder started using Canadian standard K5-CA-LS horns. I already didn't like them being confined to my hometown now they've spread south.
I really like the Siemens SC-44 on the Cascades set. Would be nice for WSDOT to actually have two on either end for revenue service. Shame that one was totaled in the derailment in 2017 (was brand new) Weird (sickly sounding) horn on the Motive Power MP36PH-3C Top notch video of the Puget Sound rail sets
Copying? Most commuter rail systems in the United States. (Mostly west of the Mississippi.) Use bombardier bi-level coaches/cab cars. So I guess according to you tons of commuter rail systems are copying go such as... Metrolink Caltrain COASTER Trinity Railway Express Tri-Rail West Coast Express Sounder Commuter Rail (The video your commenting on.) New Mexico Rail Runner Express Altamont Corridor Express Front Runner SunRail Northstar Commuter Rail And Exo. So I guess all these guys copied Go Transit.
@@CommanderSky1 Altamont Commuter Express, Caltrain, Coaster, FrontRunner, GO Transit, Metrolink, Northstar Line, Rail Runner Express, Sounder, SunRail, Tri-Rail, Trinity Railway Express, West Coast Express, and Exo all use the Bombardier BiLevel coaches (yes, I took that list from Wikipedia). Though these new cab cars with the slanted front are only currently being used on GO Transit, Sounder, Tri-Rail, and Metrolink, as far as I know.
I lived in Seattle from 2015 - 2018 and remember I would see Sounder F59PHIs sitting at Everett
An excellent video! I'm just warming to the locomotives in the USA and videos like this really help :)
I really enjoyed a lot the emergency horn at 10:20 10:21 10:27 10:28 10:31 10:32 10:33
Also lovely horn from MP40 11:01 11:07 11:14
11:13 I noticed that MP40PH-3C horn sound like a K5LLA Horn the ones from Long Island Rail Road
Long Island Rail Road 336 Metro North Railroad 909 they so do not
Sadly these Sounder MP40PH-3C horns are fitted with the K5-CA-LS like the ones on GO
Brilliant locations around Seattle!
GREAT VIDEO!!!
Those new cab car’s are awesome
Super video. Love the US trains ! 😃
Same
Man, those new Sounder cab cars really do have a nasty horn. Not a huge fan of the horn on the MP40PH-3C's either.
They're called K5CA, and I agree that they sound like garbage!
Yeah those K5-CA-LS’S are trash
mrbaldeaglejr is a bombardier bilevel cab just a newer model
Samee
Ik the sounder cab cars have like ship horns on them
Great video!!!! 👍👍👍 I will be there in August and I'm super excited
Kent Sounder Station located at Seattle 12th Avenue in south 6pm a great location in north west end
3:24. Go trains have those cab cars too
Gamerboy71 yeah, they got from Bombardier
Which is also in Canada
Amtrak NPCU 90230 used to be on the Surfliner long time ago
Nice video
Awesome videos man
My question is why has sounder started using Canadian standard K5-CA-LS horns. I already didn't like them being confined to my hometown now they've spread south.
And yes I'm well aware that GO has the same cabcars.
Great, big variety , hope to come one Day

Those are MP40PH-3Cs, and 1402 has been replaced with WSDOT 1408.

Hey I think that cab of that blue commuter train was the go trains idea
It was the sounder and it was bombardiers idea
It was the sounders idea?
No the blue commuter train was the sounder not their idea
Go train got the wide body coach cabs first because bombardier is Canadian however
Cool and I wish for the go train they would put those flashing lights on the top like the sounder cap has on the top
CAB 303 at 13:22... !!!
Wah 😀😁😁😀😉😚😚😗😙😎😃

I moved to Tacoma because everything was too expensive
The sounder train looks oddly close to the go train.
It's got the same engine and coach models :)
Look at tri-rail in Florida

@@TakingTransit You're right. Thank you for catching me on that. Trirail also has the Hyundai Rotem cabcars.
GO transit have these soundtransit cars

Why cant sounder have new locomotives.
Super Saiyan God Goku yeah like a nice p42
Stop skipping the trains
Only Amtrak would ruin beautiful trains sets, like the cascade talgos, with the ugly gray and blue p42s
