No civ can hold on a surprise attack and no prep beforehand. Herson had 0 outs on that, unless he had a general and a probably a horseman defending the city beforehand.
Fun fact: Dido's ability, for all intents and purposes, turns the new city into your "original capital" the "Original Capital" wording is meant for if you get your capital captured, it's based on that capital and not your new temporary capital. Casa is 100% exploitable by Dido :D
That war with Persia, both the initial battles and the late push alongside the Aztec, was very entertaining to watch. Such a chaotic mess. Great defensive plays by the Persia player too.
You normally don't want to war someone that will be a hard target. He preaches this all the time and didn't listen to his own advice this time. I think maybe because he was being faithful to his allies. I think the best thing to have done would have been to wait for the alliance with Poland ended, and then ran through and conquered them. But at the same time maybe he felt like the wait was too long and he needed to get the science from raiding sooner than that.
Dark doesn't seem all there. Around 1:59:00 at the irrel vote for the other Greece, everyone votes +. Dark calls out someone who has already voted to vote, and then despite everyone voting +, Dark says it doesn't pass.
Out of curoisity, why after 9:10 did you decide the amber? You minus 1 production the tile by removing the woods, wheras settling the floodplain right of it would net you +1 to that tile and keep the yields on the amber ( and mineable = mines are op). No flame but just curious on your view
Amenities that will make him avoid the going into negative and 1 extra culture right away. Smaller bonus now is usually better than bigger bonus 15 turns later.
Yup, it means he doesn't have to improve the amber, which means he doesn't have to build a builder, or spend a build charge, which gives him more tempo and makes his post feudalism builders cheaper. It's just more efficient basically
wouldnt it have been super worth it to project writers early at around t40 when the other greece didnt get a single acropolis yet and noones getting writer points aside from persias policy card? 1:41:00 OMEGALUL the twitch chat 1:44:45 AND he gets raided by trynda 1:53:00 also very sure both of these do work for Dido, the wording is bad but "original" just refers to the fact that it cant be the new capital after your first one was conquered
1:18 Vasco da Gama!! I believe you have a Brazilian follower. And I believe that that Vasco da Gama was referring to the Brazilian Soccer Team, not the Portuguese fellow 😅
having never played online are multiplayer games always planed on 'online speed'? i tried that pace last night on single player vs ai and the game goes along very quickly, maybe too quickly for my tastes
i mean this match was 4 hours long. His other videos are like 7 hours or more and every single one is online speed. but to answer your question yes, like 99% of all multiplayer games tend to be online speed
I have the same distaste for online speed, but the fact stays that it would be impossible to finish a game in one go if you don't play at that speed, unfortunately
Pretty sure in multiplayer the lobby host sets the mods. All players have to have matching mods enabled in order to join the lobby. So there wouldn't be a set list, since he just has to use whatever the host is using. (other than BBG, BBM, and the multiplayer helper that I think they use in every game without exception)
Barbs, when they are enabled, are heavily nerfed. They dont spawn much camps nor units. And even if, youd need to get one to be angry to get any value out of it so thats kind of trying to get all stars to align especially when you can just get gold and era score. And you are always at risk of another player scoot coming from the fog and clearing the camp. For cs, its prince difficulty cs so its likely they dont have much. If they have, sure go for it, but dont get out of your way making 5 horses just for that.
@@beraor4296So this isn't quite right - pretty much all abilities (bar Hercules if you're playing with Heroes and Legends for whatever reason) that give any kind of trigger based on combat strength is done off the unit's base strength. So a 100 HP Gestatae fighting a 4 HP barbarian Spearman has 35 combat strength, and a Hoplite killing a Heavy Chariot stuck in Marsh will give 14 culture as Gorgo, regardless of difficulty.
The Better Balanced Game mod adds a setting to game setup called "BCY" that allows you to tweak the yields of city center tiles. The most common setting in CPL is "Maximum - Capital only", which means your capital city will have a minimum of a 3-1 base on flat land and 2-2 base on hills. Every other city center will have a 2-1 base by default as normal. This is intended to mitigate the difference between spawning with a high-yield capital center (2-2 on plains hill or 3-1 on cattle/rice) and spawning without one (which gives a 2-1 without the mod)
thank you for the civ gameplay to relax/study to
Listening/watching this video while writing an essay 😂😂😂
Would Gorgo have defended better against Macedon 🤔🤔
Stacked Hoplites vs Heteiroi rush. Would be able to hold for at least till Curaissers

this is going to be long term gag isnt it xd
@@denisse_0013 prob yep
The Macedon had a godspawn with like double Hersons production. Nothing was saving that.
Deity AI would have easily defended the Macedon Horseman rush, proving once again the superiority of single player gamers.
What starting with a dozen everything does to a civ...
You mean they would have defended starting with 5 warriors, 3 cities and 300% prod bonus? Tell me more abuot that.
Also wrong video.
@@beraor4296 I think the original person is joking.

I know I have given you shit in the past, but you make really good videos and you're my #1 Civ6 streamer

For the bonus amenities without having to use a builder on it (at least if I understand correctly)
