2:42 The stuffs inside were not original. The original stuffs were looted by the British and French alliance troops. I think this is not the oldest being survived...maybe the one in best condition. Pagoda of Fogong Temple which was built in 1056 older than the Beijing one in 1420. There are many more historic temples, buildings, structures in China much older than what you can find in Beijing....In fact Beijing was not even a traditional Chinese capital. It was first set up as capital by a nomad group called Jurchen after they occupied China in 1127. When they were being defeated by Mongols, the Mongols also used Beijing as capital, so did the Ming and Qing dynasty later follow. China has a detail, traceable 4000 years of history. The last 1000 years is considered pretty recent.
