Just a reminder, the features are what you'll expect from a $300 camera. If you've already tried the Pocket 2, the MozaMoin might be underwhelming for your taste!
It could have been a Pocket 2 killer had they built a better camera sensors into it. Otherwise it's just a pocket 2 knock off with a side screen!
Am I the only one that sees artifacts (forest/trees), over-sharpening, and oversaturated colors?
I like the small screen on the Pocket 2 because it is more stealth and draws less attention.
But you don't have to flip out the screen when it's recording and at 120 degrees field of view I'm sure as long as you are pointing the lens in the right direction you'll capture whatever you want 🤔
Good point. Sometimes you would want to be stealthy for certain street photography etc.
What do you like to use it for? What situations do you feel stealth is best for? Sometimes you can get the best shots that way for sure.
I think I might want both of them separately. I wish they would do d-log or raw (but that's a lot to ask for for one of these cameras obviously)! I'm a professional photographer, but there's things that I love about these little cameras for certain types of creative shots or certain situations that makes me really interested in them.

I can see use cases for both of them. Definitely a cool form factor. For capturing certain types of content or certain types of creative footage. Very cool. Do you have either one of them? I'm thinking about getting one and have been for some time. 🙂
@@padkirsch currently been using my Gopro 7 black for vlogging, however it does feel a bit bulky combined with a protective case, and selfie stick. These handheld cams with gimbals appear to produce better image quality and stabilization. They also seem to have better battery life amd built in mic ports. I Would like to get one for travel vlogging. Something small and compact that can go right into my pocket. I also like that they have features the Gopro does not have like rotating timelapse and face detection. Iv been looking at the Dji Pocket 2 and Fimi Palm 2, but just discovered this new product today.
Only concern about the flip out screen is that it's just another thing that can break 😅
@@NE_Pigeons true that what you said. I love gopro 7, but it's more an action cam. (but can obviously be used forever you need, or however you can be creative and utilize it. 🙂
Yes I have checked out DJI Pocket 2, Fimi Palm 2. They both seem to have good attributes, and both have relative upsides and downsides. I can't seem to remember what the audio options (external) on those platforms is. But that'd an important difference. Good audio makes a big difference.
I think they all have good stabilization sometimes. I like the wide angle obviously. But I wish it had more then one lens. As often it can make you a little dizzy..
I wish it had d-log or .raw but that's obviously not in the price point for this camera. But in the future that will be amazing to have such good dynamic range in a little camera! ✅📷❤️
Very cool form factor. I love the gimbal. The company that makes this makes gimbals too so thats good. Amazing how small it is.
It is nice that it has bigger screen, and yea I would be concerned it could break too. But I really think you can fold the screen in while using. 🙂👍🌿

Fixed focus eh? OK.. welp.. that's all I needed to know to stop my research there. I'll stay with DJI Osmo Pocket for variable focus and a gopro for fixed focus.
DJI should copy this for the next generation pocket, make it thicker and a bit longer to integrate the "do-it-all" handle, keep the small screen but include this great flip-out display as well for dual displays. Great for video and selfies. It will also make room for a larger build in battery. I also wish there was a EIS option even though the gimbal produces great videos.

Like most pocket 2 owners, I use my iPhone for wireless viewing and feature control, but I'd say it's handy to have the larger built in flip out screen.
What about colour presets and Log files?

The thing that immediately made me lose interest was the lens correction for the native fisheye lens (like the Fimi Palm). Other possible concerns include the lack of an external mic input, a switchable date/time stamp, and a tripod thread.
The body of the camera looks like a camcorder. 🙂
Thanks for this! The only thing I noticed was the fisheye effect at image corners as you did the tilt demonstration. Hopefully an issue fixed before release or with a firmware update.
Well now, that is a great new form factor for the handheld, screen as well, very nice. Though you didn't give a rating. Running with a mask in the woods was taxing my lungs. Wonderful to see you again, doing what you do best..........

Would love to see a side by side footage comparison with the Pocket 2 to see how colors, sharpness, angle of view, object tracking etc compares.
I see a lot of artefacts in the initial footage of a sort I'd more normally associate with an action camera, because the processor is running out of power by having to electronically stabilise. You don't tend to see that with the Pocket because it's entirely physically stabilised. So I'm wondering whether this thing also uses e-stabilisation as well. Also, DJI has a far deeper history, track record and support base than these so-called competitors, which is worth considering when spending your money, IMO.
It seems there isn't autofocus. Is the camera a fixed focus device?

would've been perfect if the camera sensor was bigger, its using the osmo pocket 1 sensor, so yeah i think im gonna go for the pocket 2 for better DOF and low light/night time vlogging.
The Pocket 2 specs are still better, but the side flip-out screen is no doubt pretty cool.

Opinion of the white balance? That’s one of my beefs with the Osmo Pocket.

for $300 3x gimble pocket size and with much larger touch screen...please dont need to campare from over $400. ones... i am very impressed with the running test... i see both sides were not bumping up and down...surprisingly steable!! i will get one for my walk vlog. thanks for your review.

I still have the original DJI Pocket.
It still does what I want and I really don't mind using my phone, especially with the PGYTECH bracket.
If I were buying new, I’d still stick with DJI 👍
The big screen makes a lot of sense. It would even be better if one day these tiny camera can do optical zoom up to 10x.
Good review, I like the fact it feels bigger in the hand so easier to operate. But got to be careful it's not crossing the line to go pro type cameras with good stabilisation.
Your presentation space is very dismal. You should add abit more to your room. Also your audio is echoing badly. Get some sound blankets or wall mount some sound panels. That could also be used to make your space a little more interesting. You present very well and I love this camera. Thank you.

Wonder how it does in low-light. The sensorsize is a lot smaller then the DJI pocket 2 with a 1/1,7" sensor.

Hi Young! Hope You are Safe and Well. Another Great video! Your videos are very informative and interesting at the same Time! Super Cool locations! Beautiful Scenery! The Colors in the footage looked quite nice on this! However, the internal audio did not seem all that great. The zip-up case is a nice touch, as well as the flip screen. Overall though, it seems that this is not better than the Pocket 2, though. I think the internal audio on the Pocket 2 sounds better. I’m not sure if any combo set is available for those, but with the Creator Combo, vloggers can probably get more use than with this new camera. What do You think? Thank You. Competitor always compete against pocket 1.. if want compete with pocket 2 , sensor most better from 1/1.7" + others..tripod,ext mic, etc..

Great video. No screw hole on the bottom of that thing for a tripod mount? Brutal. Whatever wrap-around adapter they eventually create will interfere with the flip-out screen. :(

Good concept to have big touch screen display but it’s no different then my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I think I like the iPhone pictures/videos more. It’s more stable than iPhone when you run but other than., it just extra thing to carry with you.
Great video the color are nice but the sound of this camera seem to be not at the good level and what about the possibility to add an external micro ?

I wish some company would come out with a Gimbal Camera with a replaceable battery. I just bought a DJI Osmo Pocket second hand at a camera store for $149. I would wait until the bugs are worked out of this one but $299 with 10% off is pretty good. Maybe DJI will drop the price of th Pocket 2.

Good reviews. The big display is definitely a major plus. However, it still lacks a built in flash. Such flash comes in handy for certain photo shoots. I hope they consider adding in future models.

i do like it thanks , a great find, what about filters and lens attachments ie anamorphic is it strong to hold it up, also it has Bluetooth Operating Frequency can the rode WL go work with it can you pair headphones too, it would be interesting to see the audio external options. maybe the next video ;-)))
for any camera gimbal to beat pocket 2 first they have to beat pocket 1 in image quality. yet none has. most of these camera lose in low light video. and i just searched for the sensor size of this camera and its 1/2.3 same sensor size as pocket 1, so im not impressed. the flippy screen is cool tho.
That screen size is a game changer because you don't have to use your phone.
Depends for what, the cell phone connection allows streaming and management of social networks faster.
Will there be an update to showcase the lowlight/night time capability?
The only thing I noticed is sometimes the wide angle *effect can be a little overwhelming. (By the way I do love the wide angle. Just thinking about the movement.)
The colors, the resolution everything looks really good the audio sounds good. The only thing I noticed is sometimes it blows out the whites, and it did it also during sunset on her skin. But to be honest most cameras do that and unless you have like an ND filter I don't know that that's unavoidable.
I'm not nitpicking I'm just giving my honest opinion. I actually really like this thing I'm sure I would like to use it and have it. I just feel that sharing this will be helpful to people. 🙂

Because I know the price point and all of that and its size and everything we can only expect so much obviously. Which is a lot anyways but it would be so incredible if these filmed d-log or raw or something. Probably in the future. Just looking forward to that. A man can dream right!? 🙂

I do professional photography and videography and have much crazier cameras, but I still literally would love to have one of these. It's great for certain creative shots. It's great for street stuff. It's great for stuff with the family. I'm really loving the potential for these things. And with the good audio! It would be cool if you could have more than one lens for it, like wide angle, medium, and closer. ✅🙂👍

Why does it has such a small sensor? Even smartphones like the Mi 11 Ultra or the Huawei P40 Pro have a much bigger sensor!
This is a bit tempting because of the screen but like the Osmo Pocket series still. But what I am looking to get is the Insta 360 as I want a camera that is so easy to have on and film that it is not even noticeable plus can be attached or carried while running on road or trail. But depends on what you want. Did you go to Stanford?

Moin? what an unfortunate choice of name.... it is like "moins" in French. "Less"; it is good that Moza gives some competition to the DJI, but they are not yet ready to take it over. They have some firmware issues to solve. The product is not yet fully ready for mass production. It is still with plenty of flaws.
Now, I like that unlike DJI, you have a self contained unit that does not require add-ons for Wifi like the "do it all" DJI. I am not a big fan of the flip screen though. I don't need it when I shoot.
Still, it is pretty good that DJI will now need to thread more carefully with competition coming.

Truly not trying to be a troll...but like the DJI Pocket 1 & 2 I'm noticing that most of the shots of the young lady's face are out of focus. Not sure if that's the camera or the videographer but this is the same reason I'm not buying the DJI Pocket 2 - lack of (or soft) critical focus on the subject. I have a very specific need for a small, ultra-lightweight camera on a gimbal just like this but until the focus issue is resolved, I can't use it. And I REALLY do want this or the DJI to work, because that would solve a great many problems for me out in the field. And I DO love the large flip-out screen. I'm sure you trade off some battery life for it but I could live with that. Any comments from MOZA about the focus issue would be welcomed. If you can show me 100% that the focus works, I'll buy one of these in a heartbeat.
