The first card you showed will not be able to record 4k120P and it will only function like a V30 card. You need at least a V60 SDXC card to record 4k120P. If your V90 card does not function when recording 4k120 its probably because even though it is v90 it's not SDXC meaning it probably is 32gb (SDHC) or lower. You need at least a 64Gb (SDXC) or higher v90 card. Using a V90 SDXC card will enable you to record everything except 4k120P All-i in S&Q mode.
The first SanDisk SD card doesn't say V90 on it, I have the same one but when it doesn't say V90 it can not write 4K 120P.. Other brands that says V90 on the card will do the job just fine👍🏻
yeah, you need to reeeally update the first one about the Card there!, because thats not true........if youre doing 4k 120 at the highest data which rarely alot of people really use like that
@@Filmmakingmentor then I say try the prograde v90 cards. That's what I use. Also if you're trying to do 4k120 in s&q mode it won't. It works for 280mbs so if your sd card wasnt writing it's definitely the sd card that you have.
@@Brookssmedia Yeah I'm pretty sure even the V60 cards will work with up to 4K120 XAVC S (and possibly 4K60 S&Q XAVC S/HS - haven't confirmed as I don't use S&Q, but Gerald Undone shows this in his video). I went with two 256GB ProGrade V60 cards since I only plan on shooting 4K24/30/60/120 XAVC S.
@@CaseyHardman you're correct. I just opted for the pro grade v90s because they were on sale and I just wanted to have the fastest sd card I could have. But v60 works just fine as well.
I would have also recommended a tripod. Depending on the type of shooting you are doing of course.

You don't need a type A card to shoot 4k120. V90 cards work just fine

The 24-105mm Sony lens is not a G Master. It’s a G series. G master is the orange G. G series has a grey G. It’s not the same quality lens.
You can out nd filter in front of the sensor
its a g lens. nnot a g master. gmaster has the red logo.
