I didn't expect Barbara Goodson to make her Rita Repulsa voice more menacing and seductive... but she did... AND I LOVE IT!
I know don’t get me wrong I love the show voice but this one feels much better and more menace I love it!!🤩💝🙌

Great stuff, and I loved seeing Barbara Goodson and Paul Schrier inject a little original flavor Rita and Bulk into their performances. I was waiting until I had the chance to read the Shattered Grid Deluxe Edition before watching this and, man, was it worth it
38:37... If you are a fan of Power Rangers and DIDN'T geek out right here (when Zordon started talking), then you're lying to yourself.
This should be an animated series! But treat it like a regular show without catering to a specific audience. Adults will be entertained cause it won’t be the regular campy cheese like the original show and the kids will be entertained cause it’s an “adult” story line. It’s almost condescending how simplified kid shows can get. Kids aren’t that naive and they’ll appreciate story driven shows. I know I did when watching anime as a kid! That’s why the anime genere in general is very popular.
But they have to profit out of it. If they don't, they'll cancel it before the first season is done.
Justin Naranjo I know Toys have been the only driving force keeping power rangers in general a float. I understand they need to tap into a kid audience but again. They can do that without having to dumb it down. Complex story telling can be a developing tool for Kids. It doesn’t always have to be the typical formula of the current show. Times are evolving & the fan base has changed & continues to change. The day will come when power rangers will come to a complete end. They will then have to decide how to continue to profit off of power rangers and what better way to continue the legacy & continue their business than with an animated series. I know for a fact the idea of an animated series has been around for a decade now. Hasbro who currently owns the brand is known for their animated work. I hope they take on the task to make it happen! This is all just fun ideas tho. One could wish 😂

Also, think of it this way. Look back to the 90s with some animated shows.
Batman the Animated Series was wonderfully dark, with complex stories, scary imagery, and dark (yet still iconic and bright) characters. It is possibly one of the darkest kids shows ever, and the dark tone lasted for three seasons before they made The New Adventures of Batman, yet that still had the dark tone in some episodes.
X-Men the Animated Series (though I haven't watched much of it yet) was made with the biggest risk of the producer putting her job on the line to make it more adult and darker than previous tries, yet, even with that, the ratings went through the roof (though that could also be the fact that they officially started airing in spring), and that show lasted for five seasons.
Also, in keeping with Power Rangers, look at PR in Space and RPM. Those two shows are the most adult of all the Power Rangers seasons... Even more than my personal favorite, Dino Thunder.

Ok. This just furthers my wish for Saban/Hasbro (or whoever owns Power Rangers currently) to make a Shattered Grid series!!! Please make this a thing, Saban!!!
Maybe make it an audio drama
There's actually a series called Power Rangers The Audio Drama that captures a good amount of the essence of their original actors voices while keeping to the darker plot elements that the original Saban Era presented and improving on it, as well as adding in some elements of the boom comics series.
If you need a good old fashioned PR fix, I recommend listening to that.

It’s kind of interesting that the person at PMC who played Kimberly/ranger slayer at this panel also seems to have voiced both characters in the battle for the grid game.

Meghan has done voice work as Kim and Ranger Slayer on Battle For The Grid since this. And she played an original Pink ranger in HyperForce, a tabletop liveplay series on HyperRPG that was done for the 25th anniversary

Honestly would have been better with JDF. He plays a great villain and is amazing as Drakkon. Wonder if it would be possible to get most of the actual cast for a reading in the future. Would be amazing.

i'm not feeling Barbara Goodson as this Rita. She should sound younger and more like a Queen not a old witch. It doesn't match her persona in this comic
Walter was perfect as Zack again. And Jason nailed Skull. all the other new changes were very good.
Shoulda went the dc animated movie route, more mature content, could EASILY get the orig cast for voice acting and would be easy to get people to mimic the cast that have passed away.
