It is refreshing to see that there are professionals like you. Great attention to detail and passion for the work you do. Thank you for the videos, they are informative and detailed.
It's a good question but the staples are per code. Never really used button cap nails, I like how the staples don't penetrate through the roof sheathing where a button cap nail would. I want the least amount of penetrations in the roof sheathing as possible, and between half inch staple and self adhesive water barrier that's what I find.
It's a good question. We typically always gap the ridge and then do soffit ventilation. This A-frame system does not include any soffit ventilation. The owner asked we butt the ridge to make the house as air-tight as possible. We did a spray foam / batten insulation afterwards. There is mechanical that includes forced air, etc. I'm not an engineer nor was I the GC on this project. Hope this helps thanks.
Are these typically cash purchases or do people finance these? I feel like it would be impossible trying to acquire a loan for these. How much are the barebones kits? Like just the framing nothing extra?
That sounds like an awesome place to build! My book is full for this coming year but I sure do appreciate you reaching out! It took around 60 days to get from the sill plate to the dry in (everything included in structural kit) let me know if you have any other questions -
@@IRONHORSEhomes RIght on! We might wait unitl 2024, God does amazing things on even years for us for some reason:). I already have the land, with septic, eletrical is at the lot line too! Have you done solar on any Aframes?

I was hired by a client who bought the Kit. Hoping to build a few more in the next year as people keep coming to me with Avrame plans they already purchased. They are growing fast and I recommend using them as a company for your project!

Much appreciated brother thank you
He just needs to take that fish eye lens out of that camera. Then the videos will be top notch
@14:00 are you sure the instructions call for staples on that barrier? They normally call for a specific nail with a cap on it.

Are there soffit/ roof joist venting anywhere? I noticed the ridge cap is completely sealed.
