Oh well, the presentation kinda sucks, but the run itself was good, and as I've written in the description: a proper video will be made on the subject of this challenge, so stay tuned. I could not put these TIMESTAMPS in the description, because it's too long, so here they are: 0:00 - Intro 9:34 - Speedrun Start 6:58:11 - Speedrun End Total time from the start of the game to owning the continent: 6:48:37, which is less than 7 hours. Done on the 26th of September 2020. I also discovered a little TIC I have when talking without a script. I ask people if they know, know what I mean? So you know, the first step to eliminating a verbal tic is to become aware of it, so now I'm punching myself in the nose every time I ask "YOU KNOW?!?!?!?!" mid-sentence. Ya know? Anyway, unlike Doom Eternal speedruns, this challenge isn't as skill-based. Instead of fast reflexes and perfect accuracy, this run relies on forming a good plan and using the right strategies, in the right combination at the right time. And having a lot of luck, which... I did. Nat-Fookin-20 on every dice roll. The best example is the fact I've unlocked the most profitable weapon design before I even crafted my first sword, just from smelting daggers, and that shaved off at least an hour of grinding from this run. Now I don't expect anybody to watch this thing in its entirety, but if you're considering it, think of this video as a very long... "streamed Let's Play", where the host struggles to speak basic english and fumbles words like a retard.

@@Mitchthisis nope, problem is rather then buffing other things so it's as profitable as trade they're nerfing trade, the only real way to pay for a late game army is to keep fighting.

You could still make the wrong decision though. If someone smart makes a brash decision it implies they're not on top shape, so the problem isn't the time used to think.
Unfortunately, I can't do that. Somebody else did to our world something similar to what I've done in this speedrun, and the kingdom policies they enacted prevent anyone from taking their place. :)
My fastest time was when I sided with a kingdom that owned more than half the world and the king died a year in. They held an election and my name came up on the list of heirs... I have no idea why that guy didn't have kids.
The game doesn't care about inheritance. All kings are elected by nobles. If you have good relationships with your kingdom's clans, you can become king easily.
"No one is gonna watch the whole livestream, so sound quality doesn't matter." You're right on the second part, but oh boy are you wrong on the first part!

1:10 A little hint: talk to a town market zone character and cancel the conversation. Sometimes you can end up literally inside a premise you are willing to buy.
yeah, you check if a notable owns any workshop, click "Visit" and it usually spawns you in the workshop. Be careful tho, workshops aren't open during the night so you won't be able to buy them if you visit during night time

Once my party size increased and paying -500 for per day, I really needed to know how to make money. I watched through 1 hour and 15 min and its enough I guess(for avoiding spoilers and protecting my enthusiasm). I think maybe if there's something you lack, it's just some confidence, cause I think you're pretty good at talking. Forgetting words happens to everyone and I wouldnt worry about it. Something I once read a long time ago is, "people won't remember what you said but how it made them feel". You talk with a lot of passion and it's very interesting to listen to. That is what I remember after listening to you (and the information you provide), whether you spoke perfect fluent english or whether you stumbled on words here and there will not be what matters in the end. If you become nervous because of it, it can create awkward tension and that's what people would notice for the most part, but if you keep going with confidence and passion in your voice, I doubt most people would pay any attention to it. People are boring to listen to, when they lack that passion, it sounds like they're not interested in what they're talking about themselves, so why should you as a listener? Hope this makes sense to you and doesn't feel too random, just felt like commenting on it. Great videos btw, I'm a fellow bannerlord trader. I played bannerlord at the very beginning and I didnt even know you had to click the perks to unlock them, so I played trading on pure memorization. Tbh reading the caption I thought th video was about to be full of fights and sieges. Ended up mostly being about smithing and buying out enemies. Now that was an option I would have never guessed. Good video tho

I used an exploit from a video that's linked in the description. Don't worry, an edited summary will be posted within the next 2 weeks, detailing all the strategies.
Just an FYI you can "sell all" by holding Control and clicking the item over, or in lots of 5 by holding Shift. This may speed up your trading a bit if you do another speed run in the future.
The price of the forged item has nothing to do with the materials used. It's based solely off of its primary damage stat. In the case of the javelin that should be missile pierce damage iirc. So do whatever you can to max that one stat and the item will be more valuable.
Great video! With the recent updates you get more charcoal i think from imrpoved charcoal creating in blacksmithing. So now you can do it quicker i bet!
Actually towns cost 10 times more in the current patch, among many other things that would make this run impossible on the 1.5.2. version. At least impossible in 7 hours.

Do you want to sell all the land you own for the money I got from selling ~8 harpoons? YES, TAKE ALL MY LAND! - I have some 100 horses, I'll put in my stash... where I also put myshields and swords. - .... many more
Wow some people. Lol you got my respect hyclion good run. I'm going to attempt a speed run but different definition. 100% fiefs in my kingdom. So I'll have to found the kingdom. My estimate is ~20hrs I'll record it all see how I do. I generally reach clan t4 in 12 hours. But from what I learned about smithing and trade from you I can shorten that with passive renown.
I would not stay 20 hours straight for a single video, but if you're going to, I recommend you don't record it with shadowplay, as the file size is going to be massive. You either stream it, or record with shit settings in OBS, so that file sizes are smaller, and select the .mkv recording format, to make sure you don't lose your recording in case of a severe crash or powergrid failure (I dunno if mkv is the right format, but obs will tell you that certain formats like h.264 will be lost in case of a sudden shutdown.) Also, a fair warning... If you want total world conquest on the current version of the game, (1.5.3.) be prepared to grind your trade skill manually for a minimum of 4 hours (if you intend to buy the world) and most of all, be prepared for every kingdom to declare war on you the second you have more than 5 fiefs. You'll need to recruit other clans into your kingdom, to increase your military power and prevent having everyone declare war at once. One final thing... if you actually do it, and you use some interesting tricks, it's best to timestamp them in the description. Or at least mention them. Good luck!
Bro can you tell me where house funds of my house came from? I did 1 house quest of 150k bronze coins and 1 group quest of 20k.. i should have 170k house funds but i have more then 255k.. Can you plz tell me how they increase? i have 0 towns..
I'll be making a "Speedrun Summary" video where I'll share a lot more details, but I'll give you a brief summary today: Goal #1 is to make 10k, which is going to be invested into smithing materials. Goal #2 is to keep smithing until I unlock an expensive weapon design. Once I do, goal #3 is to forge a lot of weapons and sell them to lords until I get 1 million denars. Goal #4 is to reach clan tier 2 and become a lord of a faction. I do that for goal #5, which is to use a town the king gives me... to use an exploit that takes my trade skill to level 225 and unlocks the perk that allows me to buy towns and castles. And goal #6 is to search for lords and buy all their fiefs, and if my money runs out, forge more weapons and sell them to lords in exchange for their towns.
Yes, it absolutely got patched, which is one of the reasons I switched to version 1.2.1. I think the patch that came after that one fixed this exploit.
This entire run was done with 0 mods. If you take a look at the Trade perks, you'll notice that the first 2 say something along the lines of "your profits are marked". That's why the profitable items are highlighted in my trade interface.

I think your speed run is safe, I did a speed run to 300 trade as of 1.6 and it took just under 9 hours so you should hold the all time record

Just an FYI you can "sell all" by holding Control and clicking the item over, or in lots of 5 by holding Shift. This may speed up your trading a bit if you do another speed run in the future.
The price of the forged item has nothing to do with the materials used. It's based solely off of its primary damage stat. In the case of the javelin that should be missile pierce damage iirc. So do whatever you can to max that one stat and the item will be more valuable.
I love that my horses armor is currently worth more than an entire settlement used to be xD
Great video! With the recent updates you get more charcoal i think from imrpoved charcoal creating in blacksmithing. So now you can do it quicker i bet!
Actually towns cost 10 times more in the current patch, among many other things that would make this run impossible on the 1.5.2. version. At least impossible in 7 hours.

when you are trading you can select dinars and after press auto offer and it will add the minimum dinars

When forging weapons, you can spam the enter key to do it quickly
You know you can ctrl click on the arrows in trade window to sell/move an entire stack. And shift click to move 5. You dont need to drag the sliders
Wow some people. Lol you got my respect hyclion good run. I'm going to attempt a speed run but different definition. 100% fiefs in my kingdom. So I'll have to found the kingdom. My estimate is ~20hrs I'll record it all see how I do. I generally reach clan t4 in 12 hours. But from what I learned about smithing and trade from you I can shorten that with passive renown.
I would not stay 20 hours straight for a single video, but if you're going to, I recommend you don't record it with shadowplay, as the file size is going to be massive. You either stream it, or record with shit settings in OBS, so that file sizes are smaller, and select the .mkv recording format, to make sure you don't lose your recording in case of a severe crash or powergrid failure (I dunno if mkv is the right format, but obs will tell you that certain formats like h.264 will be lost in case of a sudden shutdown.)
Also, a fair warning... If you want total world conquest on the current version of the game, (1.5.3.) be prepared to grind your trade skill manually for a minimum of 4 hours (if you intend to buy the world) and most of all, be prepared for every kingdom to declare war on you the second you have more than 5 fiefs. You'll need to recruit other clans into your kingdom, to increase your military power and prevent having everyone declare war at once.
One final thing... if you actually do it, and you use some interesting tricks, it's best to timestamp them in the description. Or at least mention them.

I have that perk in patch 1.5.3., I have over 10 cities, but only 7 companions. It still doesn't work.
Bro can you tell me where house funds of my house came from? I did 1 house quest of 150k bronze coins and 1 group quest of 20k.. i should have 170k house funds but i have more then 255k.. Can you plz tell me how they increase? i have 0 towns..

I'll be making a "Speedrun Summary" video where I'll share a lot more details, but I'll give you a brief summary today:
Goal #1 is to make 10k, which is going to be invested into smithing materials. Goal #2 is to keep smithing until I unlock an expensive weapon design. Once I do, goal #3 is to forge a lot of weapons and sell them to lords until I get 1 million denars. Goal #4 is to reach clan tier 2 and become a lord of a faction.
I do that for goal #5, which is to use a town the king gives me... to use an exploit that takes my trade skill to level 225 and unlocks the perk that allows me to buy towns and castles.
And goal #6 is to search for lords and buy all their fiefs, and if my money runs out, forge more weapons and sell them to lords in exchange for their towns.

Yes, it absolutely got patched, which is one of the reasons I switched to version 1.2.1. I think the patch that came after that one fixed this exploit.
Is there mods used that show the positive or negative values for pricing (to show profit) when selling your products?
This entire run was done with 0 mods. If you take a look at the Trade perks, you'll notice that the first 2 say something along the lines of "your profits are marked". That's why the profitable items are highlighted in my trade interface.

Yes, it's called "no mod, just take the first 2 perks in trade." I never played this game with mods.
