Absolutely gorgeous ! And to think, I lived in Texas for a while. We used to cut down and burn mesquite trees, just to get rid of them ! That was before I discovered sling shots.
Brilliant video that tree fork terned out beautifully epoxy resin is brilliant for filling voids you can use casting resin a cheep way to get rid of the bubbles is a bait pump for carp fishing it creates a vacuum and pulls out the bubbles a vacuum chamber is a bit expensive for a tiny job. you can add color or flecks to the resin. That is some awesome accuracy.
@08:30 knot hole, fill-in ??? Ya, I'm two years late to the party and often fill in with resin epoxy, but, if it's not structural i like that kind left alone and clear/natural, no color like you did it. This is a beautiful piece of skilled craftsmanship, well done! 👍
Great slingshot builds. These videos have helped a lot in my slingshot builds. Just got into slingshots a month ago. Can’t help myself I leave a saw in my truck. Always looking for forks. A few people have seen me in the woods. Probably think what is this weirdo up to, hahaha.
Wow that is just gorgeous! I don't know where the 8mm steel hate comes from, I love it! I can see hunters like shooting heavier ammo but for target shooting 8mm is the ammo for me. And with snipersling black I reach 326 fps with .5 bands and 8mm steel. If you can't take game with that its because you missed. Lol
Hi Chris, I write from Italy. Very good video, as always. I'm very fond for construction with natural tree forks and I appreciate and love your work! To fill holes and cracks, I use epoxy myself, it's the best. If yI want a good natural result, I mix epoxy with a little amount of wood powder, residual from sanding or sawing, or with some contrasting colour dust or liquid. I share your pyrotechnic enthusiasm and the love for a good natural slingshot made with our hands! May I send you some pictures of the forks I try to do? Sincerely yours, Luigi
Muy buen video y esa horqueta es bellísima donde podre encontrar algún plano para poder aser algo parecido muchas gracias por compartir esta bella obra de arte
Ended up a beautiful piece. Logo's great. Jeez your fast with that rip saw. Wee ferret got excited once you started shooting (I knew you'd make the shot). This time last year during school holidays, my daughter and I had a go at making bows. I remember looking for forked branches as a kid to make catapults, though they never ended up like that. So, this year we'll follow your lead. And I'll be happy if they look half as good as this turned out. (Would of liked to see you fit the bands). Huge thumb muscle bro, haha! Always get home sick watching you. Hppe you and yours have a fantastic & safe new year!
Very nice job done on the frame 👌 Well explained about the 8m steel.. Your old videos are a must see.. Especially for anyone getting into the sport.. Shooting tutorials are the best out there 👌👌 Happy new year to you and yours mate 👌
Hope you had a great Christmas mate. Great video. Beautiful frame, the satisfaction of bringing out the beauty of the wood whilst making a working catapult is so worthwhile 👍🏻 I've got a spalted Oak frame that I use like a stress toy, I don't even have bands on it😉 Be well, stay Free 👍🏻
What a result, that's a work of art. It's great to watch the process, I'm curious to know how much time it takes from first sawing to the banding up point.
Hi Chris, my name is Robert Bussiere and I live in Ontonagon Michigan United States. I know a master woodworker he gave me a good tip a long time ago Keep the sawdust from the slingshot would you are using and makes it with wood glue fill in the gap with the sawdust and glue and sand it over and you'll never know it was ever there.
Interesting comments about ammo - I started a couple of years ago with 9.5 but now shoot 7 & 8. 7mm still hits with a real whack, but can be difficult to see. Also, I think I get a smoother release from smaller ammo. Great video Chris!
Lovely frame Chris, great video has always, just beginning to feel sorry for the local squirrels and rabbits, you were lethal without the spec's mate... Lol, hope you've had a enjoyable Christmas, and 2022 is a fantastic year for you... Until the next video, take care and stay safe Chris 👍
does mesquite grow where you live? I live in the southwest united states in ARIZONA and mesquites grow wild here. and btw I subscribed you channel is awesome

I live in the southwestern United States. The mesquite here is the rock of hard wood. And definitely has a beautiful look to it
Absolutely gorgeous ! And to think, I lived in Texas for a while. We used to cut down and burn mesquite trees, just to get rid of them ! That was before I discovered sling shots.
I loved how when you was setting up the material in the vise the whole time the ferret was like "Hey pops, let's go hunting!"
I've mate the switch to a lighter set up with 8mm steel and can honestly say I'm converted. Thanks Chris! Legend
Good man. It's always a benefit to try new things
That’s one spectacular looking natural catty bud top craftsmanship buddy !!!

I keep looking at that big fat fork I collected. Now I have some ideas. Also the spindle sander hack is awesome!
Beautiful slingshot and great tips.👍❗️
Beautifully crafted!!! What a piece.

I like your works. Very nice
Fill it with saw dust and wood glue mix !!!!!!! Mix it real good and fill it ,then sand it, beautiful
Yes buddy I use that method to fill cracks but I wanted a clear filler for this particular piece
Muy buen video y esa horqueta es bellísima donde podre encontrar algún plano para poder aser algo parecido muchas gracias por compartir esta bella obra de arte

Very nice job done on the frame 👌 Well explained about the 8m steel.. Your old videos are a must see.. Especially for anyone getting into the sport.. Shooting tutorials are the best out there 👌👌 Happy new year to you and yours mate 👌
I would much rather have a beautiful wood frame like this one rather than your aluminum titan frames!!
Just name your price, and it’s sold!
I really enjoy your channel. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you buddy ☺️
Another beautiful natty nice work mate and I’ve been shooting 8mm steel for 4 years now differently wont be going back to 10mm no chance
Thanks buddy ☺️
Enhorabuena, eres un gran artista, a mi también me encanta ese arte, 👍.
Hope you had a great Christmas mate.
Great video. Beautiful frame, the satisfaction of bringing out the beauty of the wood whilst making a working catapult is so worthwhile 👍🏻 I've got a spalted Oak frame that I use like a stress toy, I don't even have bands on it😉

Thanks Steve I'm glad you like it buddy
Happy new year pal
Very very very beautiful 👍

Probably around 3 hours but then you need to wait for the finish to dry too and it gets several coats.
So over 12 hours from start to shoot
Beautiful piece of work and wood
What a beauty that frame is Chris. Great video as always. Happy new year to you and the family 👍🏻
Happy new year buddy
Thanks 👍
I would much rather have a beautiful wood frame like this one rather than your aluminum titan frames!!
Epic video cheers for sharing hope you had a good Christmas dude ✌
Lovely frame Chris always fit you 🔝 Greetings from Spain and happy Christmas 👍🏽🎯✨
Thank you buddy
Happy new year
Beautiful slingshot, love watching the magic of a branch being turned into art and u take it to another level my friend do u sell ur naturals?
Hi Chris, my name is Robert Bussiere and I live in Ontonagon Michigan United States. I know a master woodworker he gave me a good tip a long time ago

I use wood filler on the cracks for my sling shots and you just let it dry then can sand it off it fills any large or small cracks or holes
You are great bro nice work ❤
Thanks ✌️
I fill in voids in handles with expensive gems, just like on my daggers!
you should try some uv resin flows and settles better can also be dyed ect and sets up in seconds under uv light...nice job though like these a lot
Thank you buddy I appreciate it
Yes the specs greatly improved thee old vision lol happy new year to you
Beautiful natural frame! You should try 6mm or 1/4” steel balls and maybe you’ll have a revelation!
I have used 6mm steel buddy bit too small for me although I can shoot them quite well
hasilnya sangat keren sekali kawan 👍
Very nice vídeo. Thanks a lot.
Excelente trabajo Master!
Saludos ...
Absolutely awesome Chris.
Happy New Year to you and your family.
Cheers from fellow TH-camr Famo59 👍⛏🍻🤓
Take wood glue and mix it with sawdust. It has good strength and is sandable.
Nice slingshot 🤩
Cuanto tiene ancho en las puntas de la horqueta y cuantos cm tiene de largo saludos camarada desde Monterrey NL México
For me it was perfect without a word 😃👏👏🇧🇷
top job that came out lovley
Thanks man I appreciate it
Sir. My request is. Please show the measurements when you draw slingshot diagram on wood. That's the main thing I want
does mesquite grow where you live? I live in the southwest united states in ARIZONA and mesquites grow wild here. and btw I subscribed you channel is awesome
You can use wood epoxy. It’s a 2 part mixture, and it’s sandable and takes stain.
Amber clearcoat Epoxi resin is what I would use. Now if you want to kick it over the top Seal some kind of bug inside the hole.
Whats do You do to prevent tree forks from cracking? Awesome video man, regards from argentina
They must be cut and seasoned for a long time. You cannot try to dry out too quick with hardwoods
Cute good job
Watching .
INDONESIA
This is cool. What did you use for the bands? Is that a kit or did you rig something up yourself?

Hi Chris! What thickness of band do you use for 9.5 mm steel with a 23 to18 taper?
Super Glue/ Baking Powder + sawdust.
hey chris hope your well,is that still .50 snipsling black? i had that but i got alot of band tears, i switched to .6 i still get amazing speeds and alot of life,im actually curious to try .70 black with a 9.5mm set up i think there is .80 too
I've not had any issues with it yet
I think snipersling goes up to 1mm
Nice catty bro
How do you make the beeswax paste?
can you share the template for this or at least some straight front / back and side (profile) images of it !
Do you get hit on specs while shooting 180° .
Abserloutly brilliant
Thank you 😊
Amazing 👍
Thank you 😊
How do you target The target my friend ?????
That's one gorgeous frame!!! Where did you get the mesquite fork?
It came from Arizona
Thanks buddy
@@CatapultCarnage Nice, I've got one on my property plus quite a few desert ironwood trees. That's what that 1 pic was that I sent you.
How do you target the target?????
You can fill it with epoxy and the saw dust from the same piece
Yes buddy I use that method to fill in cracks in wood but for this project I wanted a clear filler to see inside
Can you measure all the parts in how many centimeters?
Oi eu sou um grande fã seu
excelente 🥂
