Tokyo Revengers was one of the best selling manga in 2022 and was still in the top 10 this year despite having ended a year ago. Yeah the anime qould be way more popular if the quality was up there with some of the current super popular titles.

Yeah its kinda sad that tokyo revenger anime doesn't have a very high quality animation compare to other shounen such as JJK, demon slayer etc. As the manga reader, I would tell you that this show have such very good artstyle and character design but atleast we as fans are grateful TR would be adapted to anime.
In my opinion this is probably my favorite arc in Tokyo revenges because it has so much meaning and incredibly moments in it and Takemichi really shows that he has incredible durability like i could never take a beating as badly as he can

Stephan has said that he wants to see more from Takemichi not because we hate him, but because we know he has it in him. I love Takemichi so much as a character, but he is inconsistent and it can be frustrating. But I think he character is meant to be frustrating.
In a way the story as it is can easily end with this arc in the future. Everything in the next arcs feels like watching a different show with the same characters. I loved reading the whole manga, but the next arcs do feel way different which is why some people loved it and some did not.

Kisaki was planning to compromise the whole time, as that was what happened that joined Tenjiku and Toman in the future under Mikey, Kisaki and Izana. In the last timeline, Toman never showed up to the fight at all and it ended in a compromise with a broken Mikey. After Takemichi called his bluff, Kisaki resorted to making the compromise anyway which would have still made the future he wanted. I think any other character not in the know would have easily accepted the compromise, but because Michi knows the future he was like "Nah, go home with your damn plan". All of Kisaki's plans go to hell this episode, and we love it.
Technically there’s one mini arc after this and two bigger ones that combine to make the final arc but it’s gonna get crazier and crazier from here on out!
I really love Tokyo revengers as well everyone always bitches about Takemitchy being a bad MC. Which if he is to you that’s valid but it’s about Toman I view Toman as a whole as the MC it’s about a group of young kids who want to help each other and Takemitchy, this guy who was a loser his whole life finally got some resolve to do something to save the only girl that ever liked him but then, he finally get friends and connections and people he cares for and he fights for all of them to be ok that why I love it
I was surprised when Belz said that too (about liking TR so much) because he seemed so over Takemichi a few episodes ago 😂 I guess michi has truly redeemed himself (I mean his character development and emotional/personal growth through the series HAS been amazing I just think a lot of fans get too hung up on the fighting ability part) Anyway, it was a pleasant surprise! And yeah it breaks my heart TR never got great animation because the characterization is top-tier for me

I don't think that "good animation" will bring a lot, because it's mostly kids that sometimes one shot other kids, and I think they actually manage to make it impacful still, it's not like 2 master of martial art that fight during a whole episode like in jujutsu
