if you think about it, Takemitchy is the tank of the gang, as long as he stands the team can still recover and win, he doesnt have to win, he just never has to lose
Also, remember that Takemichi's goal is not really to beat Tenjiku. He doesn't actually care about these gang fights. It is to change the future whatever it takes, and that means getting to Kisaki.
So long as nobody interferes, Takemichi wins here and achieves his goal. He really doesn't care if Kisaki kills him or not at this point (I am concerned that nobody except for Chifuyu is calling him out on his clearly self-destructive behavior). Kisaki can kill him in front of 300 witnesses and go to prison, or he can bitch out and be disowned by his own gang. There is no way that Mikey or Draken would accept the compromise at this point. Everything is changed.
Takemichi getting up after being beaten by kakucho and saying "those were some baby punches" looked much cold in the manga, should have animated better honestly. Also kakucho one shotting everyone was also wayy better in the manga but still a good episode just the manga is better.
Tbh for me. Takemichi standing up against taiju was better in manga but animation studio for season 2 just waste that moment. I glad that this season kinda have good animation
