    I've spent last days developing a nice upgrade for my RS660!
    The new Aprilia is equipped stock with quick shift and blipper, but stock sensor can only work in std direction, 1st gear down.
    To allow a GP-shift pattern (1st gear up) Aprilia requires you to load a different ECU map with reversed shifting action. Moreover, presently this "reversed map" is not yet available via any Aprilia dealer.
    Obviousely wires crossing does not work :/ they didn't kept it this simple!
    Anyway, thanks to my friend Gianni at IRC we managed to simulate the oem sensor in his aftermarket sensor, that use a fully reversible and tunable load cell instead of OEM double switch.
    So fitting that IRC cell you'll be able to swap STD to GP when you want, just flipping the gear lever, and electronically reversing the sensor action.
    Installation is completely plug & play, using stock bike connectors, absolutely no wires splicing.
    We will soon check and confirm it's application to the newcomer Tuono660 as well.

    Is this a lot more smoother for street use for example 4,5,6k rpms and smooth when your shifting but holding the throttle still? I’m sure you know the stock rs660 quickshifter is very harsh and jerky, as well as the autoblipper isn’t smooth like it should be for example from 2nd to 1st it the lever sometimes gets stuck in a way or doesn’t downshift great, so is the irc quickshift / autoblip a lot smoother or no?

    May I know what are the best setting for L and LS?

    Now this video is 3 years old but is there any advantage to having this quickshifter vs oem is it smoother and faster and what settings do you recommend for it and does it make it possible to do a 520 conversion on sprockets or is a flash necessary unless you recommend a different ratio for the rs660

    I don't ride a bike (yet), can someone please explain to me how is it different from 'normal' shifting? Does it make it easier to ride RS660 than other manual bikes?

      GP shifting means you push the lever downwards to shift up and upwards to downshift. This helps shifting up in extreme leaning angles because you don’t need to get your foot under the lever anymore and risk touching the ground

    Because I had a irc quickshifter on my ninja 400 and you couldn’t shift with the throttle on a still position because it was really harsh and jerky kind of like the stock quickshifter on the rs660 so let me know because I would be interested in it if it was a lot smoother and better

      actually in RS/Tuono 660 the IRC only replace the stock QS/Blipper sensor. The whole shifting logic is still in the OEM ECU. Using IRC straing gauge instead of stock spring loaded sensor the shifting action is much more precise, and lever travel is reduced a lot.

    Please help , is there any way of getting a quickshifter on the restricted model (35 kw variant)? Thank you.

    • @gabroracing
      @gabroracing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you are takling about a Tuono660: 35kw map does not allow the quick shift, sorry. But with my UpMap you can have access to full power maps wich can have the QS/blipper features enabled

      @@gabroracing thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I’m fairly certain that would void warranty. Also, if I was to have an accident and the insurance company sees I’ve played with the ecu, they wouldn’t cover me. It’s a shame that a motorcycle at this price point doesn’t have a quickshifter when much lower price range bikes (ie. Triumph trident) offer it. Thanks again.

      yes, but it quit working when you revert shifter action for have it in GP shift (1st gear up)

    That doesn’t seem to be any different than OEM. How does your product handle two quick downshifts? I want a robust quickshifter/auto blipper for racing. Thank-you.

    • @gabroracing
      @gabroracing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it' just an oem sensor replacement. Being a load cell is more rigid than spring loaded switch oem and give a better rider feedback.
      Anyway no, you can't do multiple fast downshift on this bike relying on the blipper. Use clutch instead.

    All I’ve got to do is reverse the linkage? No reprogramming?

    • @gabroracing
      @gabroracing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, this sensor can work both std or gp, depending on the lik position. You'll only need to electronically reverse sensor action via it's little control board

      yes, but QS funcions would need to be activated in the ECU at dealer, if your Tuono isn't originally equipped with the oem QS
